Really sad news I never knew Lee that well but I followed his father years ago. My Families Thoughts & Prayers are with Colin & Family & Friends, his pit crew.

Totally devastated, gutted I missed our meeting last Friday - condolences to Lee's wife Emma, his 3 kids, brother & parents - I'm stunned right now, when it's one of your own, it's hard to take - hard to take at any time with any rider but today has truly hit me for six.

I have loved speedway for over 30 years now, but on days like these it can be the most horrible sport on the planet. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Dreadful news, condolences to all who knew and loved him.

This type of sad news was far too frequent when I started watching speedway, but I guess the safety improvements over the years have made us all a bit blase about the risks the guys take
