Absolutely shocked at this news. I only got to see him race live for the first time at lakeside last friday. My thoughts are with his family RIP Lee.

Desperately sad news about one of the nicest riders I've ever come across. Lee was a true gent - never had a bad word to say about anyone and was always there to chat, sign autographs etc. The sport of speedway benefited from his involvement and is now all the poorer for his passing. Thoughts with his family at this sad time.
I know all the track staff at Swindon will be devastated by the news.

Sad sad day in the world of speedway, as a friend of mine has said these guys put their lives on the line for our pleasure and entertainment everytime they sit on a bike, makes you think is it really worth it. R.I.P Rico gone but never ever forgotten.
