With huge thanks to Frigbo, he, myself, Subedei and a few others have been working on a new forum containing rider profiles and meeting results with heat details, not just individual scores.
All the riders who have appeared in the top two leagues in Britain since 1965 have now been entered in the database. We are now working on adding extra information for these riders, including photos, our own interviews, stats, autographs, and full meeting results for their individual honours. We will also be expanding to add riders from other countries as and when we can.
If you are a rider who would like to add something to your profile, make a correction, or give us an interview, please contact me by email schumi2@hotmail.co.uk
The results database now carries full results for all of the World and British Finals, and league tables for Britain since their inception. We are currently working on completing the GPs and SWC meetings, and have also begun the Swedish and Polish Finals, as well as the World Under 21 Finals and Polish league tables. Please drop in and see what we're up to, and feel free to offer any comments, or contact me on the email address above.
Riders and results are indexed in the top board for a quick jump option, or you can browse each section by category. We hope, eventually, that this forum will become one of the best sources of information on the net. Registration is free and only takes a minute.

We've modified the board so guests can view basic results, and which riders are contained in the databases. For more comprehensive details, however, free registration still applies.

This forum is now open for all. It is still very much a work in progress where the results are concerned, but the rider database is excellent, thanks to Frigbo.

That Steve Collins match for Sheffield in 1971 was away to Wimbledon. He had two rides and scored one point in heat two.
I think my memory is right, I hope so as I spannered for him way back then. He had a partner, Dawn Price and a daughter called Christine, who gave me the nickname of The Little Un.
Steve had bundles of natural talent and he was a better rider than Grahame Stapleton, Neil Cameron, Rob Jones, Roger Johns and Gordon Kennett but he prefered seeing the bottom of a glass too much to make speedway a career.
PS: I should also point out that the two sets of statistics for Steve Collins do not go together as they are two different riders.
