Heat 05: Gathercole, Kling, Holder, Hawkins 51.65, 4-2 15-15

Heat 06: Barker, Bowen, Garrity, Cockle (R) 52.62, 3-3, 18-18.
Line Up: Barker, Cockle, R/R- Bowen, Garrity
Comments: Messy first turn that but they all survived!! Barker gated into the lead and cockle joined him initially before getting out of shape on bend 2 nearly taking barker out by accident. Cockle then out the back then had a ding dong with Garrity for a lap or two passing and re-passing before cockle dropped it on bend 1 lap 3. Barker well gone! Good race that, Garrity a bit wild mind you!

Heat 07: Fisher, Lanham, Bowen, Glanz 52.25, 3-3, 21-21
Line Up: Fisher, Glanz, Lanham, Bowen
Comments: Mon the fish!! He flew out the gate and Lanham couldn't get close. Glanz who replaced franchetti in that one (sorry mate I didn't hear it) tried the outside run on turns 1&2 but got filled in!
Sponsored by Merlin
Heat 08: Garrity, Hawkins, Franchetti, Cockle 53.41, 1-5, 22-26
Line Up: Cockle, Franchetti, Hawkins, Garrity
Comments: Garrity like a scalded cat from the tapes and won by a mile. Cockle was initially in the mix but Garrity pushed him wide on turn 2 ending his challenge. Franchetti close to Hawkins all race but no way past despite a his efforts.
Sponsored by
Heat 09: Lanham, Garrity, Holder, Gathercole 52.75, 1-5, 23-31
Line Up: Gathercole, Holder, R/R- Lanham , Garrity
Comments: Lanham out with Gathercole well but Cory got beaten up in a tight first bend after which he was never in it. Garrity pulled off a stunning move around the outside of Holder on turn 4 on lap 1 to take second spot. Holder tried hard to re pass but Garrity had the line. Rye guys digging in well here and riding brilliantly. Plymouth don't seem to be clicking!

Heat 10: Barker, Lanham, Bowen, Cockle 51.94, 3-3, 26-34
Line Up: Barker, Cockle, Lanham, Bowen
Comments: Stunning race!! Lanham gated brilliantly to lead with barker and Bowen in hot pursuit. Barker trying the boards to pass Lanham but lost ground allowing Bowen back in the race. Barker fought him off before setting after Lanham again trying everything to pass him before flying around the boards on the final bend to take the win. Brilliant!

Heat 11: Kling, Fisher, Franchetti, Hawkins 51.32, 3-3, 29-37
Line Up: Fisher, Franchetti, Kling, Hawkins
Comments: Good race this! Fisher gated into the lead and appeared to have the race under control but he didn't look that fast. Kling gave chase and found a gap up the inside of fisher on turns 3&4 lap 3 and duly obliged. Fisher had no response! Meanwhile at the back franchetti had a good battle with Hawkins for a lap or so before gino got round the outside of him on bend 2 lap 2 and pulled away.

Heat 12: Lanham, Gathercole, Garrity, Glanz 52.50, 2-4, 31-41
Line Up: Gathercole, Glanz, Lanham, Garrity
Comments: Two races in one there. Lanham and Gathercole close for all 4 laps but Lanham had just enough. At the back Garrity made a howler but wound it on to pass Glanz who had been pushed out on the opening bends. Glanz chased back hard but Garrity shut the door!

Heat 13: Barker, Kling, Fisher, Morley 52.53, 4-2, 35-43
Line Up: Barker, Fisher, Kling, R/R- Morley,

Heat 14: Franchetti, Holder, Bowen, Garrity 53.50, 5-1, 40-44
Line Up: Holder, Franchetti, Bowen, Garrity
Comments: Well I didn't see that coming!! Great race all 4 close for most of the race. Holder gated and rode wide allowing gino the inside where they then team rode brilliantly for 3 &3/4 laps fighting off all challengers. It all nearly went wrong on the final bend as inexplicably franchetti switched wide nearly fencing holder who'd done a great job protecting him for 4 laps. No wonder holder was a bit miffed afterwards. Last heat decider to open things at the sba this season.

Heat 15: Barker, Fisher, Lanham, Kling 5-1, 45-45
Line Up: Fisher, Barker, Lanham, Kling
Comments:Rockets choose 1&3
Unbelievable race!! Unreal! Barker, Lanham and fisher ding dong for all 4 laps. Barker led and slowed Lanham with the fish getting closer by the lap until he made a stunning swoop around turn 4 and into the home straight of lap 3. He just held Lanham off but it was blanket over them all the way. What a way to end! I'm k~#ered!! Crowd goes mental!!
