Mr Mungo isn't sure whether we'll get much more speedway today. It's still raining hard and the track staff have gone into the dry.
There's a break of rain in the distance but the track is already tricky... and now very wet as well!
Rain pretty much stopped and they're out again Could be a messy heat.
Heat 03: McKinna, Priest, Nielsen. Halsey (ret). 5-1, 12-6, 60.1
Line Up: Priest, McKinna, Nielsen, Halsey
Comments: Track very tricky. Halsey slid off fourth bend whilst leading. Nielsen almost came off on the third bend as well at the same time whilst lying in third, and that let Priest into second. None of the riders are enjoying things by the looks of it!

Heat 04: Blackbird, Branford, Blacklock. Terry-Daley (ret). 3-3, 15-9, 58.8
Line Up: Branford, Blacklock, Blackbird,Bates Terry-Daley

Heat 05: Priest, Heeps, Jacobs. McKinna (ret). 3-3, 18-12, 59.1
Line Up: Priest, McKinna, Heeps, Jacobs
Comments: Very tight between Heeps and Priest lap 1. Heeps not close after that. Track seems to be settling down a bit. Still no fun if you're at the back though! McKinna had to take his goggles off in the latter stages and pulled up last lap.

Nielsen and Priest neck and neck going into bend 3. With the rain pouring down, there's no way both of them were going to get round, and Nielsen bails out on bend 3 with Heeps doing extremly well to avoid him.
Called off with Nielsen excluded from the unstaged re-run. Hail and tons of rain! Mr Mungo's seen nothing like it!
