Gates: Stoke choose 1+3 for Heat 1.
Track Conditions: Looks Good
Heat Results
Heat 01: Roynon, Lambert, Perry, Wrathall 4-2
Line Up: Roynon, R/R - Perry, Lambert, Wrathall
Comments: Perry is for Rider Replacement. My uncle who says there's more stoke fans here then at Loomer Road on Saturday (Texter's comment).
Great race to start, Heathens from the gate. Going round the bottom turn from Perry is looking down at the bike and Lambert starts to close in lap 2 , Lambert closes through wiry perry still looking down. Perry takes 2nd place back in lap 3 , still looking down at the bike. Lambert snatches 2nd place on the run to the line. Perry still looking concerned. The problem for Perry? The suspension broke lap 1, He rode that race with it flapping around dangerously close to the front spokes. Brave ride!

Heat 02: Perry, White-Williams, Reade, Carr 5-1 9-3
Line Up: Perry, White-Williams, Carr, Reade
Comments: Race Stopped, Warning to rider in white, who missed it and was last on the run out to the tapes anyway and all 4 back in the rerun.
Re-Run: Heathens from the gate. Reade, surprisingly, never made a challenge and Perry was a long way clear.
Sponsored by Steve Dixon www.stevedixonphotography.co.uk [/b]
Heat 03: Bekker, Ritchings, Atkin, Walter 5-1 14-4
Line Up: Bekker, Ritchings, Atkin, Walter
Comments: Atkin made the better start. Bekker wet outside and Ritchings went inside. Heathens then rode clear. Half a straight lead by the time the flag was dropped.

Heat 04: Morris, Reade, White-Williams - Fell, Birks - Fell / Excluded 3-2 17-6
Line Up: Morris, White-Williams, Birks, Reade
Comments: Race Stopped, Even break between Morris, Birks and Reade. Morris rounds them. Reade got in Birk's way turn 1 & 2 in lap 1, then turn 3 & 4 in lap 1, then finally left Birks nowhere to go but down on turn 1 & 2 laps. Birks ok, bit I doubt he's too pleased with ref calling him at fault. Birks is excluded from the rerun. Short break for fence repair.
Bit of nuisance, drizzle, but we are ready for the rerun.
Re-Run: White-Williams fell while comfortable in 2nd place on turn 1 of lap 2. Reade looking like a Aussie trying to chase down a Brit in the velodrome. Full length of the straight win for Morris.

Heat 05: Perry, Lambert - Tactical Ride, Bekker, Wrathall 4-4 21-10
Line Up: Bekker, PerryRitchings, Lambert - Tactical Ride, Wrathall
Comments: Lambert on a Tactical Ride.
Ritchings can't get the bike started and is excluded from the race, Perry replaces him.
Race Stopped, Bekker and Wrathall came together on turn 1. All 4 back for the rerun.
Can't help but wonder whether Pearson had a rant about our boys going back to the pits rather than straight back to the tapes? Hmm...
Re-Run: Superb race again. Perry first out of the gate. Lambert passed inside going into turn 1 lap 2. Perry executed a perfect cut back off turn 4 lap 2 to take the lead again. Not bad for a reserve. . Wrathall fell but cleared the track.

Heat 06: Roynon, Birks, Ritchings, Carr 4-2 25-12
Line Up: Roynon, R/R - Ritchings, Birks, Carr
Comments: Ritchings is for Rider Replacement, well he will be if the bike will ever start.
Race Stopped, all 4 back for the rerun. Don't know why. A Stoke rider must have cheated.
Re-Run: From the gate, but strong challenge early on by Ritchings. Roynon hanging around for him for a couple of laps but under pressure from Birks. Takes off in the last two laps to the fastest time of the night. Achieved in basically 2 laps of trying. Impressive.

Heat 07: Morris, Perry, Atkin, Walter 5-1 30-13
Line Up: Morris, Perry, Atkin, Walter
Comments: Easy doesn't even start to describe it for the Heathens. Walter fell and Atkin almost fell too so our boys were a longgggggggg way clear, I like the look of our new number 6! Walter fell but got up and carried on.

Heat 08: Bekker, Reade, White-Williams, Wrathall 4-2 34-15
Line Up: R/R - Bekker, White-Williams, Wrathall, Reade
Comments: Bekker is for Rider Replacement. Heathens made the gate. Close to a nasty incident coming off turn 2 lap 1 as looks to be contact between White-Williams and Reade. The Heathens man made the best of it. He then does his best Ed Kennett impression and loses speed looking backwards to allow Reade through on turn 1 & 2 in lap 2. Reade chased hard but Bekker was comfortable.

Heat 09: Birks - Tactical Ride, Bekker, Ritchings, Carr 3-6 37-21
Line Up: Bekker, Ritchings, Birks - Tactical Ride , Carr
Comments: Birks on a Tactical Ride.
Good opening lap. Birks best start. Bekker makes a like outside but Ritchings surprised both by diving inside to lead into the bottom turn. Birks keeps his head and screws it on to retake the lead on the homestraight. He goes well clear. Awful ride by the Heathens duo then when they should have just cruised home.

Heat 10: Roynon, Reade, Atkin, White-Williams 3-3 40-24
Line Up: Roynon, R/R - White-Williams, Atkin, ReadeWalter
Comments: White Williams is for Rider Replacement and Reade in for Walter.
Reade has his moment in the spotlight as he leads Roynon. Didn't even last a lap though. No idea why White-Williams got the rider replacement.

Heat 11: Lambert, White-Williams Morris - Fell / Excluded, Wrathall - Excluded 2-3 42-27
Line Up: Morris, White-WilliamsPerry, Lambert, Wrathall
Comments: Perry excluded on 2 minutes and White-Williams replaces him. Wow all action. First turn, White-Williams goes all the way around the outside of Morris and Lambert got lead into turn 3. Morris and Lambert dive under him, White-Williams looking backwards again lost momentum. Then as it got very very tight he straight, he backed out of it to let the heat leaders through, Morris and Lambert charge in to turn 3 lap 2. Morris goes down, he goes up not happy at all with Lambert. As he stands there, Wrathall had hid own fall on turn 4 after passing Morris. Morris is excluded for the primary cause of the stoppage and Wrathall for not being under power.
Re-Run: Nothing to report. Oh, apart from Lambert being booed across the line. Lol

Heat 12: Perry, Bekker, Reade, Atkin 5-1 47-28
Line Up: Bekker, PerryWhite-Williams, Atkin, Reade Carr
Comments: Perry replaces White-Williams and Reade replaces Carr. What a race. You won't see better on a Monday night. Perry from the gate. Goes for the dirt. Reade goes for the kerb and gets inside Perry going into lap 2. They then go literally shoulder to shoulder with Perry squeezing through the tightest gap on the outside. Reade just got up on the backstraight of lap 3 so Perry does the big cut back off turn 4 lap 3 to lead. Bekker watching it all unfold and closing in, He makes enough ground for a big dive up the inside on the last run and gets 2nd place on the run up to the line. Super race and full credit Reade. Very very tight with Perry but rode a fair race,

Heat 13: Roynon, Birks, Lambert, Morris 3-3 50-31
Line Up: Roynon, Morris, Lambert, Birks
Comments: Could have been a classic it wasn't! Roynon took off. Morris trying too hard made a couple of big mistakes and ended up well behind.

Heat 14: Perry, Reade, Ritchings, Walter 4-2 54-33
Line Up: Ritchings, Perry, Walter, Reade
Comments: Perry all the way. Ritchings chased hard kept it interesting for the home fans. Got pretty close once but then lost ground again.
Sponsored by Splod [/b]
Heat 15: Roynon, Birks, Bekker, Lambert 4-2 58-35
Line-up: Roynon, Bekker, Lambert, Birks
Comments: Roynon had it won coming turn 2 inside Birks. Lambert passed Bekker as South Africa's finest went too wide thinking he could round the visitors. Bekker then set off in pursuit. Charged it hard on Lambert turn 3 lap 3 forcing the error. Lambert too wide and Bekker comes through On the slow down lap Roynon pulls out an inflatable hammer from somewhere. No idea where it came from but he's doing wheelies waving it.
