Heat Results
Gold Helmet Race Off: Boxall, Blackbird
Line Up: Blackbird, Boxall
Comments: Lewis on outside gate, Steve on inside. Lewis was a dollar short from the start. Steve pulled away and was untroubled!
Kent win toss and take 1 & 3.
Heat 01: Boxall, Morris, Isherwood, Coles 3-3
Line Up: Morris, Isherwood, Boxall, Coles
Comments: Heathens wide asleep at the start, especially Ash who was stone last on turn one. Coles made a small mistake on turn 3/4 which was all the the Heathens needed to pass inside him. Ash then moved into second. Well spread.

Heat 02: Kingston, Greaves, Geary, Kirby Ef 3-3 6-6
Line Up: Geary, Greaves, Kirby, Kingston
Comments: Kirby fell aswell as Ef after 80metres, on turn 2 luckily nobody hit him. Kent boys off the start again. Greaves not too far back but never close enough to challenge.

Heat 03: Starke, Compton, Mason, Greenwood 3-3 9-9
Line Up: Starke, Greenwood, Mason, Compton
Comments: Greenwood moves at the start, tapes never moved so ripped them to shreds. 15m back start for Greenwood. Starke just from the gate. Just had to assert himself on the first lap then comfortable. Greenwood caught Mason but made a slight mistake going into turn 1 last lap and lost his chance.

Heat 04: Blackbird, Kingston, Greaves and Morley didnt finish 3-2 12-11
Line Up: Blackbird, Greaves, Morley, Kingston
Comments: Heathens form the gate. Kingston fell off turn 1. Morely shut off and started rolling around but was never getting an all four as Jack just slipped off on his own. He cleared the track but looks a little sore but ok to walk away. Heathens cruising 5-1 until Greaves blows up big time down the back straight lap 3. Perhaps a bit of lack of experience as he rolled to turn 4 then pulled off track rather than trying to beat Lewis to the line to push the last lap.

Heat 05: Starke, Boxall, Greenwood, Coles 4-2 16-13
Line Up: Starke, Greenwood, Boxall, Coles
Comments: Coles big blow up coming off turn 2 lap 3 when 3rd but under a bit of pressure. Superb race up front. Boxall the quicker and all over Starke throughout. smart race by Starke to block every move.

Heat 06: Re-run: Morris, Morely, Isherwood, Kirby Ef 4-2 20-15
Line Up: Morris, Isherwood, Morley, Kirby
Comments: Stopped Morely had bit of a roll and gained an advantage. #been warned. All four back.
Re-run: Good race for 2nd. Isherwood tried inside and out and managed to sneak through to 2nd going into turn 1 lap 2 but Morely kept it wide open to sweep back arouns him coming off the corner. Isherwood lost late on as he started moving around trying different lines.

Heat 08: Greaves, Isherwood, Kingston, Kirby Fell 5-1 28-19
Line Up: Isherwood, Greaves,Coles Kirby, Kingston
Comments: Coles Excluded for 2mins. Kirby comes in for him. Greaves super start to lead all the way. Good ride by Isherwood who was having to slow a lot to stay behind Greaves and let the youngest ride his race. So much so that Kingston closed in enough to try Dan Dare dive bomb on the last turn. He almost collected Isherwood in the process and slipped off missing him. Got straight up to cross the line for the point.

Heat 09: Morely, Greenwood, Starke, Kingston Fell 3-3 31-22
Line Up: Starke, Greenwood, Morley,Kirby Kingston
Comments: Kingston steps in for Kirby. Kingston fell going into turn 1 last lap, originally thought because of pressure from Starke but after heat claimed due to chain coming off. Good race between Ben and Dan at the front with Ben hanging on. Starke made an awful start and took time to line up Jack. He charged under him, don't know if there was some contact as they went behind advertising banner but the Ref let the race complete before putting the red light on to stop the riders after the line. Jack was down for 5miutes but has now got up. Clearly in some considerable amount of discomfort and only walking away gingerly.

Heat 10: Morris, Compton, Isherwood, Mason 4-2 35-24
Line Up: Morris, Isherwood, Mason, Compton
Comments: Compton gated. Morris sluggish again but wound it up on lap 1 to round Compton. He then streaked a mile clear. Isherwood comfortable 3rd but never close to Compton.

Heat 11: BOXALL, Blackbird, Coles, Geary 2-7 37-31
Line Up: Blackbird, Geary, Boxall, Coles
Comments: Boxall takes T/R. Superb race and ride of the night so far from Boxall. Blackbird led with Boxall all over him in a repeat of the earlier heat with Starkey. This time Boxall finds a little hole to squeeze through on the inside coming off turn 2 lap 4. Blackbird furious with himself. Geary challenged for a couple of laps but fell a little further back by the end.

Heat 12: Starke, Kingston, Greaves, Kirby 4-2 41-33
Line Up: Starke, Greaves,Mason Kingston, Kirby
Comments: Kingston takes reserve ride here for Mason. Hope he shaken off the earlier fall!! Starkey by a mile as you'd expect. Greaves missed it but went after Kirby and made a good outside pass on turn 3/4 as Kirby kept pushing him. Greaves held his nerve and his line and went well clear in 3rd.

Heat 13: Morris, Blackbird, Boxall, Morley 5-1 46-34
Line Up: Morris, Blackbird, Boxall, Morley
Comments: What a race. Sorry Steve but your ride of the night award has now been taken off you by the NL pairs champion jointly. Heathens gated on 5-1 but again Boxall the quicker. The Heathens boys rode as good as a team riding race as you'll ever see at any level. you couldn't get a fag paper between them as they blocked every move Boxall made. Boxall was superb but just couldn't find a gap.

Heat 14: Compton, Greaves, Greenwood, Kingston 3-3 49-37
Line Up: Greenwood,Geary Greaves, Compton, Kingston
Comments: Greaves replacing Geary. Super race again. Greaves gated ahead. Greenwood was last. Kent pair challenging Greaves who held his line under pressure. Super cut by Greenwood off turn 2 lap 2 to go from last to 2nd. Compton kept it screwed on around the outside as Dan tried to squeeze him whole stright. Compton back around Dan off turn 2 lap 3 and then got passed going into turn 1 last lap.

Heat 15: Morris, Boxall, Blackbird, Compton 4-2 53-39
Line-up: Morris, Blackbird, Boxall, Compton
Comments: Heathens off 1 & 3. Clean start by Boxall and for me he's been the fastest rider tonight. After 2 laps he was edging slowly clear of the chasing Heathens. But Ash peeled off to chase and rode a good 3rd lap to lose in. He rode an absolute stormer of last lap and got level as they charged into turn 3 for the final time. Nothing between the 2 as Boxall desperately tried to cling on to his lead with Ash going hard under him. It was the home hero that just edged off the last turn ahead to steal it by a bike length. Brilliant race to close a very entertaining meeting. Full credit to the visitors for playing their part. Impressed with Kingston he's ridden well.
