Heat Results
Heat 01: Isherwood, Starke, Lambert (fell, rem). Mallett (ret). 5-1
Line Up: Starke, Isherwood, Lambert, R/R - Mallett
Comments: What a lively start!Lambert gated and Mallett slammed the door on Starke turn 2 and allowed Isherwood up the inside into second. Starke passed Mallett lap 2, and Mallett then packed up at the back. Lambert was streets ahead when he overcooked it turns 3 and 4 lap 3 when he fell. He completed the race on one wheel, whilst waving to the crowd.

Heat 02: Greenwood, Waldron, Greaves (fell, rem). Hazelden (FX). 4-2, 9-3
Line Up: Greenwood, Greaves, Waldron, Hazelden
Comments: Hazelden fell turn 2 and is excluded. He limped initially but has walked away.
Re-Run: Greenwood all the way. Greaves rode a super first lap to get round Greaves, and he was then sitting pretty in second but he slipped off on turns 1 and 2 lap 3. Dan slowed every lap but he was still well clear. Perhaps it's cutting up a little?

Heat 03: Morris, Mallett, Knight, Clegg. 3-3, 12-6
Line Up: Morris, Clegg, Mallett, Knight
Comments: Clegg made the best start. He drifted out on turn 2 and went from first to last as Morris picked up the pieces to go from last to first. Clegg sorted himself out and gave chase. He got Knight in sight off turn 2 lap 3 and looked to have Mallett lined up a lap later but Knight found the turbo to come from nowhere to charge back into third.

Heat 04: Blackbird, Kerr, Hazleden. Greaves (fell). 3-3, 15-9
Line Up: Blackbird, Greaves, Kerr, Hazelden
Comments: Stars popped out the start. A superb back straight and turns 3 and 4 by Blackbird saw him steam past both. Greaves slipped off turn 4 lap 1. 21st doesn't know what's going on with him lately, something is either fundamentally wrong or he's just having a spell where everything that can go wrong, does go wrong!

Heat 05: Morris, Knight, Clegg. Lambert (fell). 4-2, 19-11
Line Up: Morris, Clegg, Lambert, R/R - Knight
Comments:A messy start saw Lambert pushed out wide on the first turn. Knight led briefly, but was seen off by Morris on lap 1. Lambert almost hit the fence coming off turn 4 and was miles behind. He took a lot out of them but was dead last, seriously! His bike lifted halfway between the last turn and the line and he bailed off the back. He's up and ok.

Heat 06: Kerr, Starke, Isherwood, Waldron. 3-3, 22-14
Line Up: Starke, Isherwood, Kerr, Waldron
Comments: Isherwood went inside Waldron on the back straight of lap 1. Starke was making lines on Kerr and he had the speed but he made a weird choice turns 3 and 4 lap 2 to suddenly slow and follow Kerr, and lost ground.

Heat 07: Blackbird, Mallett, Knight, Greenwood. 3-3, 25-17
Line Up: Blackbird, Greenwood, Mallett, Knight
Comments: Dan made a good opening lap to go round the outside and take second. He made a mistake coming off bend 4 and had to make an alternative arrangement to avoid the fence and get down the home straight. He slipped from a comfortable second to last. 21st says they can't afford the mistakes!

Heat 08: Kerr, Isherwood, Hazelden. Greaves (fell). 2-4, 27-21
Line Up: Isherwood, Greaves, R/R - Kerr, Hazelden
Comments: Greaves fell turn 1. Isherwood rounded Hazelden off turn 2 and that's all the action. 21st is disappointed for Greaves again.
21st says when Greaves had a few dodgy weeks earlier in the season, they eventually found a bent bit in the frame, and with all his various falls lately he wonders if there is something wrong with the bike. Certainly his confidence is shattered as well.

Heat 09: Kerr, Morris, Clegg, Waldron. 3-3, 30-24
Line Up: Morris, Clegg, Kerr, Waldron
Comments: Kerr made a clean gate, looked quick, smooth and impressive. Clegg, however, made an awful gate and by the time he was up to speed the leaders were in the first turn. 21st has no idea how but he caught and passed Waldron, and then left Waldron standing in about the next quarter lap!

Heat 10: Starke, Knight, Isherwood, Mallett. 4-2, 34-26
Line Up: Starke, Isherwood, Mallett, Knight
Comments: The action was brief but satisfying. Isherwood flew past Mallett into turn 3 on lap 1.

Heat 11: Blackbird, Lambert, Greenwood, Hazelden. 4-2, 38-28
Line Up: Blackbird, Greenwood, Lambert, R/R - Hazelden
Comments: Blackbird wins in a very fast time, not far off Roynon's old track record which was smashed last week. Ride of the night so far goes to Greenwood. He rounded Lambert off turn 2 lap 1, and then rode a stormer round the outside, with Lambert on the inside. It took Lambert just over two laps to shake him off, and by then Blackbird was a long long way clear.

Heat 12: Morris, Greenwood, MALLETT, Waldron. 5-1, 43-29
Line Up: Morris,Greaves Greenwood, MALLETT, Waldron
Comments: Mallett takes a tactical ride for King's Lynn.
Morris all the way. It was a really good first turn by Dan to go between the visitors fr a paid win. 21st says it's been a super night for Dan apart from the blip when he almost crashed. He's riding well now and could prove vital.

Heat 13: Starke, Blackbird, Kerr. Lambert (FX). 5-1, 48-30
Line Up: Starke, Blackbird, Lambert, Kerr
Comments: Stopped. Lambert slipped off on his own on turn 1 and is excluded. He made no effort at all to get up after he looked to see that the Heathens were on a 5-1 down the back straight. 21st says can we bring in a Polish red card rule please?
Re-Run: Kerr tried to get across from the outside but The Beast was having none of it and left Kerr out by the fence. Kerr got into a position ti challenge but then made a mistake and lost a lot of ground. Somebody had a clutch burning away nicely. One of the weirdest things 21st has seen for while is Kerr looking back off turn 4 lap 1 when in third, but there was nobody there!

Heat 14: Greenwood, Knight, Hazelden. Clegg (X). 3-3, 51-33, awarded
Line Up: Clegg, Greenwood, Knight, Hazelden
Comments: Clegg had passed Halzelden and then Knight, as clean as you like. A two foot gap was clearly visible as Knight fell off on his own on turns 1 and 2 lap 4 when Clegg was awarded. Shocking decision. 21st says it was a dreadful call that could prove vital. The ref didn't stop the race until the riders were coming round to finish the race. 21st adds, surely if he thought Clegg was at fault he'd stop it straight away?!

Heat 15: Blackbird, Starke, Kerr. Lambert (ret). 5-1, 56-34
Line-up: Starke, Blackbird, Kerr, Lambert
Comments: Lambert's bike went pop on the start line to a few cheers. Kerr made a clean gate but a mistake scrubbed his speed. Blackbird went under him and Starke got a line round the outside of him. It looked like Starke would come around but but Kerr rode a superb bottom turn to go inside of Blackbird to take the lead over the line. Blackbird then returned the favour coming off turn 2 lap 2. Kerr was riding high and challenging himbut Starke was also going very high and coming out very low and making up ground slowly. Coming out of the last turn Starke was still a good 10 lengths behind Kerr, but Kerr chose to stay high as Starke turned back to ride along the white line and stole it on the line. Super race by all three to round things off.
