Comments:
Teams confirmed.
Mildenhall win toss and take gates 1 and 3.
Heat 1: Brundle challenged Brady for 2nd early on but slowed up on last lap which let Courtney take 3rd.
Heat 2: Re-run with all4back. Armstrong cut across Boxall coming out of tapes then Burchatt went down and Boxall fell over him in an untidy first bend. Both riders up straight away and ok. Delayed due to loss of Power as riders at tapes for Re-run of heat 2 knocked out lights. Now Back on.
In re-run Fantastic race Armstrong cut across from the outside again forcing Boxall to shut off. Burchatt was first going down back straight before been passed by Armstrong and Bowen on 1st lap. Boxall took Burchatt on lap 3 and Bowen would have had Armstrong on the line if he hadnt moved across him coming out of 4th bend.
Heat 3: Allen from tapes and Kennett close behind, King on the pace but never really threatened the home riders.
Heat 4: Neath bike Misfiring before race started and gave up at end of 1st lap as he was outside King Challenging for 2nd. Boxall always 1st with King not far behind.
Heat 5: Allen off gate 3 tried to keep Lyons off 4 out wide at the start but didnt have the speed. After that it was Lyons all the way although Kennett had caught him up by the end.
Heat 6: Armstrong in for Burchatt.
Water Tanker deposited loads of water on bends 3 and 4 so racing delayed until track staff sort it out. Could be slippery on 3rd bend now.
In Heat 6: Brilliant ride from Courtney to hold off Strong Challenge from King for all four laps. Brady 2nd out of 2nd bend but on outside and quickly drifted to the back and off the pace.
Heat 7: Tacey gave up before end of 2nd lap. Neath bike seemed better.
Heat 8: Armstrong tried to elbow Boxall out of the start again but didnt have the drop this time. Boxall kept him behind round 1st and 2nd bend while Courtney went round outside and it was 5-1 thereafter.
Heat 9: D King T/R. King flew from tapes for Comfortable 6 points in fast time. Kennett couldnt get near him.
Heat 10: Armstrong in for Tacey. Good start from Brady. Suprised that Courtney was last giving his first 3 rides.
Heat 11: Armstrong in for Brundle and Lyons T/R. Lyons made a complete mess of the start and took 2 laps to pass Armstrong. Bowen and Neath went either side of Armstrong on 2nd bend and were well away.
Heat 12: Not the easy 5-1 we was expecting. Tacey rode Boxall wide on 1st bend then sat alongside Burchatt for 4 laps. Boxall was close on their tail and passed both Mildenhall ride on last bend, around the outside with Tacey looking the wrong way.
Heat 13: Re-run with Brady excluded. Lyons went hard under him going into bend 3 on lap 2 and Brady slid off and into the fence. hard to tell if there was contact but Mick bates quickly excluded Brady. King and Neath were having a good scrap for 1st at the time. Brady still down on the track and Ambulance it out for him.
Brady strechered off in ambulance ride back to pits. No official word yet but apprantly its leg and ankle injury. Delay while Brady attended to in pits. In re-run it was a very tight 1st bend with King leaning across Neath. Neath held his ground but the momentary battle with King was enough for Lyons to get away. Still no word on Brady but he is up and about in pits. might be ligament damage to ankle that has pin in it from previous break.
Heat 14: Bowen from tapes. Allen eager at start reared slightly a few yards out and then lost ground trying to go round Armstrong. He eased off going into 3rd bend on last lap still 4th and not close enough to challenge Armstrong.
Started Raining Lightly
Heat 15: Mildenhall off 1 and 3
Line Up: Bowen, Neath, Lyons, D King Bowen briefly held 3rd but King passed him on lap 1. Lyons never really troubled.
Thanks and goodnight
