Heat Results
Heat 01: Wright, Morris, Wilson, Lawson 5-1, 5-1, 57.90
Line Up: Morris, Wright, Lawson, Wilson
Comments: Wilson from the gate but went too wide in 2nd bend and both Rebels were quickly past. Lawson trundled round at back for last lap
Sponsored by www.enjaydesigns.co.uk
Heat 02: Poole, T.Kurtz, Bates, Starke 2-4, 7-5, 58.32
Line Up: T.Kurtz, Starke, Poole, Bates
Comments: Poole from gate, clamped Kurtz into 1st bend and untroubled up front after that. Starke was 3rd but seemed to slow down home straight at end of 1st lap which allowed Bates to pass for 3rd
Sponsored by MADDRUM5 www.youtube.com/user/MADDRUM5/videos
Heat 03: Aspgren, Wilson, Bunyan, B.Kurtz(FX) 3-3, 10-8, 58.06
Line Up: B.Kurtz, Aspgren, R/R - Wilson, Bunyan
Comments: Ben Wilson takes the R/R. Bunyan somewhat eager to get away from the start and demolishes the tapes, going from 15m.
ReRun: Rebels pair gate on a clear 5-1 but Brady Kurtz goes down on 3rd bend. He is up and ok but excluded from rerun.
ReRun x2: Aspgren from gate wins by a country mile
Sponsored by
Heat 04: Skidmore, Bates, Morris, Starke 1-5, 11-13, 58.28
Line Up: R/R - Morris, Starke, Skidmore, Bates
Comments: Nick Morris takes the R/R. Tigers pair flew from the tapes. Morris was guilty of over riding in his attempts to get past Bates and made too many mistakes as a result
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Heat 05: Lawson, Aspgren, B.Kurtz, Wilson (Ret) 3-3, 14-16, 57.91
Line Up: B.Kurtz, Aspgren, Lawson, Wilson
Comments: Once again Tigers pair lightening from tapes but Kurtz literally barges his way past Wilson in 1st turn and Aspgren gets round outside of him. Wilson pulls up not happy, but race continues, meanwhile Lawson was streets ahead and won with ease.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Wright, Skidmore, Morris, Poole 4-2, 18-18, 58.41
Line Up: Morris, Wright, Skidmore, Poole
Comments: Skidmore from tapes. Wright goes round him on 3rd turn, close between pair of them after that.
Sponsored by
Heat 07: Lawson, T.Kurtz, Bunyan, B.Kurtz 2-4, 20-22, 58.84
Line Up: R/R - B.Kurtz, T.Kurtz, R/R - Lawson, Bunyan
Comments: Brady Kurtz and Richard Lawson take the R/R's. Will be a bit of a delay as the sun is in riders eyes as they go into 3rd bend. Brady held off Lawson round 1st turn to take the lead but then made big mistake in 3rd bend and dropped to back, Todd took over at front but Lawson was all over him and was only a matter of time before he got past which he did on bend 4 of lap 3
Sponsored by
Heat 08: Wright, Wilson, Bates, Starke (Ret) 3-3, 23-25, 59.06
Line Up: Wright, Starke, Wilson, Bates
Comments: Stunning ride by Wright, made error in 1st turn that dropped him to back but by time they'd hit bend 3 on lap 2 he was in the lead, only trouble for Rebels was that as he took the lead Starke packed up while in 3rd place
Sponsored by
Heat 09: Aspgren, Skidmore, B.Kurtz, Poole 4-2, 27-27, 57.75
Line Up: B.Kurtz, Aspgren, Skidmore, Poole
Comments: Aspgren moved Skidmore out in 1st bend to take the lead and was fairly comfortable up front after that, Kurtz never really got close enough to Skidmore to get any sort of challenge in
Sponsored by
Heat 10: Wright, Morris, Skidmore, Bunyan 5-1, 32-28, 58.59
Line Up: Morris, Wright, R/R - Skidmore, Bunyan
Comments: Hugh Skidmore is the R/R but there will be another delay due to the sun being in riders eyes. Wright just got better of Skidmore in 1st bend, Morris moves through into 2nd down back straight but Morris never looked comfortable and Skidmore was never far behind.

Sponsored by
Heat 13: Lawson, Wright, Morris (X), Skidmore (X) 2-3, 43-34, 58.97
Line Up: Morris, R/R - Wright, Lawson, Skidmore

Skidmore stays down, race stopped, Skidmore not a happy bunny, Mr Holt will not be on his Christmas card list. Skidmore discluded.
ReRun: Race Stopped Lawson got a flyer
ReRun x2: Lawson from tapes, Morris's bikes went pop as came off 1st bend on 1st lap, he tried to nurse it round but just got lapped by Lawson just before he started the last lap and is excluded (Updaters Comment: Not something you see every meeting)
Sponsored by
Heat 14: Poole, Aspgren, T.Kurtz, Bates 3-3, 46-37, 59.06
Line Up: Aspgren, T.Kurtz,Bunyan Poole, Bates
Comments: Poole in for Bunyan, Unsatisfactory start all 4 back
ReRun: Aspgren made the gate but Poole nipped round inside on 1st bend to take the lead then firmly shut the door on Aspgren as they went down back straight. Bates got past Kurtz at one stage but Kurtz soon got back past him
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Wright, Skidmore, Lawson, Aspgren 3-3, 49-40, 59.03
Line-up: Wright, Aspgren, Skidmore, Lawson
Comments: Somerset choose 2 and 4, Tigers make better gate, Wright gets past Lawson in 1st turn then sweeps round Skidmore in 3rd bend, Skidmore comes back at him but Wright repeats move next lap and goes on to take the win....... and Somerset fans can breathe easy at last.
