Heat Results
Heat 01: Williamson, Holt, Cupitt - Fell / Excluded 3-2 (Starke - Fell / Excluded, Morley - Fell)
Line Up: Starke, Williamson, (Morley - Fell) Holt, R/R - Cupitt
Comments: Cupitt is for Rider Replacement.
Farce of a start. Both Heathens riders charge into turn 1. Starke down in the outside on his own. Williamson down on his own middle of the turn causing both KL riders to take avoiding action and lay their bikes down. Somehow the referee sees it all and excludes Starke, Referee needs to go to specsavers. Both Heathens riders should be out. Terrible decision. Everyone walked away quickly but slight delay while paramedic checks over Morley.
Unfortunately Morley has withdrawn from the meeting with a hand injury. Apparently he got his hand caught in the rear wheel. Hopefully it's not too serious for Ben. Very unfortunate incident for him to be caught up in. Best wishes to him. Holt replaces him in the re-run.
Re-Run: Can't even begin to describe that heat with all 3 all over the place. Long story short..

Heat 02: Greaves, Holt, Harris, Cupitt - Fell 4-2 7-4
Line Up: Greaves, Harris, Holt, Cupitt
Comments: Another very messy race. All struggled at one time and another. Greaves worked miracles to avoid the fence coming off turn 4. Cupitt fell on the first bend.
Track is very soft and cutting up in the inside after about 36 hours of rain from Sunday night through to this morning at 10am.

Heat 03: Perry, Clegg, Chessell, Campos 5-1 12-5
Line Up: Clegg, Perry, Campos, Chessell
Comments: Clegg makes a demon start but gets called back as per, Ref's really don't like it when a rider 'beats' them do they!?
Uneven start which Chessell made the most of. Perry passed him inside going into lap 2 with Chessell pushing hard to try and get back through. Clegg appeared to do 2 laps at half throttle before beginning to close. Chessell made a mistake on bend 4 during lap 3 and Clegg seemed to visibly accelerate to take advantage going into the last lap. Campos nowhere.

Heat 04: Worrall, Cockle, Harris 4-2 16-7 (Holt - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Worrall, Harris, Cockle, Holt
Comments: Race Stopped, Nasty fall turn one for Cupitt. Harris did a hell of a job not to run straight over him and took a nasty looking high side. Luckily both lads are straight up. Porkie is on the centre green announcing the KL reserves the opposite way around to the chap in the box, will get this confirmed.
Re-Run: All the boys now riding wider around the soft inside line and some grading about to take place. We should start to see the track settle down from now on.

Heat 05: Perry, Campos, Cupitt, Clegg 3-3 19-10
Line Up: Clegg - Tapes - 15 Metres, Perry, CupittMorley, R/R - Campos
Comments: Campos is for Rider Replacement. Cupitt replaces Morley.
Clegg might have touched the apes a bit. He's excluded for assaulting them! He will go off 15 metres in the re-run.
Re-Run: Clegg was 3rd by the apex of the first turn then promptly fell off. Took his time get going but was full throttle during the last la and half and took about 40 metres out of Cupitt. Just two bikes lengths in it at the line.

Heat 06: Starke, Williamson, Cockle, Holt 5-1 24-11
Line Up: 1Starke, Williamson, Cockle, HoltCupitt
Comments: Holt replaces Cupitt.

Heat 07: Worrall, Chessell, Campos 3-3 27-14 (Greaves - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Worrall, Greaves, Campos, Chessell
Comments: Chessell jumped the start, all 4 back in the re-run.
Re-Run: Race Stopped, Greaves and Chessell fell independently on the first turn. Chessell got up and Greaves just knell there waiting for an all 4 that was never coming. Greaves rightly excluded and should get the fergie hair dryer because 16 or 36 you can't do that!
Re-Run X2: Terrific scrap for 2nd place between the KL riders.

Heat 08: Williamson, Harris, Cupitt - Fell / Retired 5-0 32-14 (Cockle - Fell / Excluded, Holt - Fell)
Line Up: Williamson, Harris, R/R - Cockle - Tactical Ride, (Holt - Fell) Cupitt
Comments: Cockle is for Rider Replacement and on a tactical ride.
Race Stopped, Cockle binned it. Again a rider, Holt, doing well to avoid a worse incident. He clipped Cockle or the bike and he fell. Both up and Cockle is excluded from the re-run.
Holt unfit to take his place. No news on the injury. Best wishes to him too. Another rider unfortunate to be injured trying to avoid another's incident.
Re-Run: Williamson nearly binned it while a mile clear. Track looks fine now with some dust starting come up on the outside but that was 8 seconds off the track record!!

Heat 09: Clegg, Perry, Cockle, Cupitt 5-1 37-15
Line Up: Clegg, Perry, Cockle, Cupitt
Comments: 3 riders only, Cupitt not coming out. Change of plan, Cupitt will come out after all. This is a absolute joke, how hard can it be to announce the line-up right. All 4 riders.
Precisely zero entertainment and frankly playing Wipeout at this stage is embarrassing!

Heat 10: Starke, Williamson, Campos, Chessell - Fell / Remounted 5-1 42-16
Line Up: Starke, Williamson, Campos, Chessell - Tactical Ride
Comments: Chessell takes a tactical ride.
Heathens on a max but Chessell wound it on. Super pas on the inside of Williamison off turn 4 lap 1 and set out after Starke. He was faster and catching Starke. He just over did his charge going into turn 1 during the last lap. Genuinely gutted because that was a cracking effort.

Heat 11: Worrall, Greaves, Chessell - fell and remounted when 3rd 5-1 47-17
Line Up: Worrall, Greaves,Morley, R/R - Chessell
Comments: Chessell is for Rider Replacement. 3 riders only.
Chessell was 2nd going into turn 3 lap 1 but Greaves charged in full commitment. Somehow he controlled the speed well enough to not clip Chessell and then on the exit he was so much quicker than Worrall had to avoid him too. Brilliant, brave or just plain lucky? All three I think.

Heat 12: Clegg, Campos, Cupitt, Harris 3-3 50-20
Line Up: Clegg, Harris, Campos, Cupitt
Comments: Clegg flyer again. All 4 back for the re-run, Clegg warned to stay still at the start. Farce. He was still and didn't roll.
Re-Run: Action at the back. Harris chasing Cupitt. Nearly got him of turn 2 last lap but as Cupitt wobbled he drifted in front of Harris who had to shut off or hit him. Unlucky as I think he'd have gone through on the backstraight.

Heat 13: Worrall, Starke, Cockle 5-1 55-21
Line Up: Starke, Worrall,Morley, Cockle
And 'we' are still embarrassing ourselves by playing wipeout and Peter York talking it up like we're doing a fantastic job. Utterly clueless that bloke.

Heat 14: Greaves, Chessell, Perry, Cupitt 4-2 59-23
Line Up: Perry, Greaves, Chessell, Holt
Comments: Greaves all the way but appeared hit a hole backstraight lap 1 going into turn 3 which fired him past the corner. Did well to recover. Then made a mistake under pressure from Chessell but recovered well from that too. Perry rode a terrible race in third and was tailed off well behind the front two.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Worrall, Perry, Campos, Chessell - Fell / Retired 5-1 64-24
Line-up: Worrall, Perry, Chessell, Campos
Comments: Chessell jumped the start by a mile but the referee must have been yawning and missed it as he/she allowed it to carry on. Worrall straight through by turn 3 anyway. Perry worked hard and went past off turn 4 lap 3.

There will now be a short break while the texter tries to rediscover his enthusiasm.
