Heat Results
Heat 01: Proctor, Ringwood, Waters, Winchester
Comments: Proctor up inside from 2nd to first turn 3 lap 3
Heat 02:Riordan, Coyne, Cook (fell lap 4), Lidsey (fell lap 1)
Comments: Two fallers both unaided, race continued with two finishers only
Heat 03: Etheridge, Day, Campton, Edser (fell)
Comments: Competitive heat !!
Heat 04: Anderson, Sproule, McDonald, Lawrence
Comments: Super gate by Anderson in yellow to lead leaving turn 2
Heat 05: Etheridge, Coyne (Fell lap 4), Winchester (retired lap 1), Anderson (fell lap 1)
Comments: Innocent, clumsy and gentle fall by Anderson turn 1 & 2, lap 1. Winchester retired claiming he was impeded / inconvenienced by Anderson's fall. Coyne fell on his own later. Etheridge was blissfully unaware of what was happening behind him as he was way out front
Heat 06: Campton, Waters, Lawrence, Lidesy (retired lap 4)
Comments: Not the start to the meeting Lidsey had hoped for
Heat 07: Proctor, Day, Cook, Sproule (fell & remounted)
Comments: Proctor looking totally untroubled thus far
Heat 08: Ringwood, Edser, McDonald, Riordan
Comments:
Heat 09: Day, McDonald, Winchester, Lidsey
Comments: Day must have thought he had bad breath or BO, nobody got near him
Heat 10: Waters, Sproule, Coyne, Edser (fell & excluded lap 1)
Comments: Waters does this quite a bit, has a few average rides but then puts in a beauty
Heat 11: Proctor, Etheridge, Riordan Lawrence.
Comments: Another quality pass by Proctor to take the lead. Bookies were busy slashing his odds about now and we were wondering how he didn't get an acceptable British average this season.
Heat 12: Ringwood, Anderson, Campton, Cook
Comments: Top three all really close and looking, looking, looking but no positional changes. That wasn't for lack of trying though.
Heat 13: Winchester, Lawrence, Cook (retired), Edser (Fx)
Comments: Rerun. Edser came off turn 3 and Cook laid it down to avoid Edser. Edser was ok but Cook had hurt himself in the process, Rerun with two only. Lawrence was leading the fisrt time but as luck would have it Winchester got a far better start second time around.
Heat 14: Day, Anderson, Waters, Riordan
Comments: Anderson right up Day's chuff for most of the journey but Day wouldn't make a mistake and spoilt Anderson's attempted party
Heat 15: Campton, Proctor, McDonald, Coyne
Comments: The crowd had no idea how Campton got by Proctor on turn 3 lap 1 and neither did Proctor. Proctor was immediately on the case but Campton kept him at bay quite easily in the end
Heat 16: Etheridge, Sproule, Lidsey, Ringwood
Comments: Ringwood had been challenging for the lead but Sproule somehow nipped by and Ringwood thinking he was safe in third coasted over the line. Lidsey didn't need a gold edged invitation and took third on the line by inches.
Heat 17: Campton, Winchester, Riordan, Sproule
Comments: Campton was getting better and better towards the pointy end of the meeting. Sproule fell and remounted
Heat 18: Etheridge, Waters, McDonald, Cook
Comments: A good days work so far for Etheridge only lowering his colours to Proctor and being leading qualifier
Heat 19: Anderson, Proctor, Lidsey, Edser
Comments: Another good Anderson gate and Proctor couldn't pull a rabbit out of the hat despite trying his butt off.
Heat 20: Day, Ringwood, Coyne, Lawrence
Comments: Pretty much as forecast by most people before the start
B Final: Campton, Anderson, Waters, Ringwood
Comments: An absolute blinder from yellow for Campton to get around them all. Anderson again all over a back wheel trying to find an opportunity to pounce. None came.
A Final: Campton, Day, Proctor, Etheridge
Comments: The form guide was torn up after this one. The leading qualifier came 4th and the B final winner won the lot. Campton proved he can do blinders from red too. The other three seemed to forget about him until way too late.
