Comments: Stopped. Doyle and Bjerre get to the first bend together. Bjerre comes down. All 4 Back.
Re-Run: Bjerre gets the best gate but locks up a little on bend 2 and Pawlicki is through to lead. Bjerre commits to the outside line and gets his rewards entering bend 3 lap 2. Bjerre pulls out a lead and is comfortable until the chequered flag. Luckily for Bjerre that his bike kept going as it packed up after the race.

Line Up: Iversen, Jonsson, Janowski, Holder
Comments: Janowski makes the best gate from the outside but appears to lack a little speed coming off bend 2. Jonsson pulls alongside Janowski and the 2 hit bend 3 together. Jonsson, on the inside, eases Janowski over to take the lead. Janowski then locks up a little on bend 2 lap 2 which allows Iversen into second. Janowski was on Iversen's back wheel for the remainder of the race. Holder made a poor start and was never really in it.

Comments: Pedersen gates but is then passed by Lindgren on the outside and Zmarzlik on the inside as they come off bend 2. Morris then gets past Pedersen coming off bend 2 lap 2, sets off after Zmarzlik and makes the pass as the riders start lap 4.

Comments: Stopped. Kildemand comes down on the first bend. All 4 Back.
Re-Run: Buckzowski almost makes it from the outside but runs too wide on bend 2, along with Sundstrom. Kildemand and Batchelor stick to the inside and take first and second. Kildemand clears off and wins by a big distance. Buczkowski gets round Sundstrom at the start of lap 3 but is too far back to mount any challenge on Batchelor.

Comments: Batchelor makes the best but Jonsson winds it on to make the pass on Batchelor on bend 4 lap 1. Jonsson clears off and wins with ease. Bjerre has to hold off Zmarzlik for a lap or two before making a challenge on Batchelor. Bjerre left himself too much to do and had to settle for third.

Comments: Iversen from the gate and he's probably never had a more comfortable 4 laps. Lindback and Morris exchanged places a couple of times on the opening lap. Buczkowski looked to be taking a comfortable second place but kept locking up slightly on bend 2. Lindback sensed this, chased after him and made the pass down the backstraight as the riders were hitting bend 3 lap 4. Gritty and determined ride from Lindback.

Comments: Stopped. Sundstrom made the best gate but lifted slightly on bend 2 which allowed Holder to claim the lead. Sundstrom, in the process of lifting stopped Pedersen's outside run. Sundstrom then made another error on bend 3 and was passed by Pawlicki and Pedersen. Pedersen then dived inside Pawlicki on bend 3 lap 2, clearly taking him out, though replays show Pedersen disagrees. Pedersen excluded.
Re-Run: Stopped. Sundstrom moves inside Pawlicki on bend 3 lap 1. There is contact and Pawlicki, again, comes down. Unsurprisingly it's Sundstrom who's excluded.
Re-Run 2: Pawlicki wins the match race by making the better start. Simple as that.

Comments: Doyle is the only one to not move out coming from the gate and is leading coming off bend 2. Doyle moves over a little on the backstraight and squeezes up Buckzowski and Pedersen. Pedersen shuts off and Buczkowski roars into bend 3 but lifts mid bend and drops to the back. Pedersen took bends 3&4 wide and this allowed Jonsson into second. Jonsson was close to passing Doyle on lap 4 but the Aussie rode a cleaver final bend to hang on for the win.

Re-Run: Kildemand repeats what he did in the original staging of the heat and is well clear as the riders start lap 2.
