Mogridge away first but Ellis blasted straight passed him and was in a race against the clock after that. Just outside the NL track record. Nothing much doing behind him.

Heat 04: Perry, Williamson, Harris 3-3 15-9 Agg: 69-45 62.13 (Parkinson-Blackburn - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Perry, Parkinson-Blackburn, Williamson, Harris
Comments: Race Stopped, Parkinson-Blackburn missed the start and was a it too eager to make up for it. Charger into bend 3 lap 1 way too fast and run out of room. He's up and looks fine. Parkinson-Blackburn is excluded from the re-run.
Re-Run: Williamson just edged the start but Perry passed him on bend 2 lap 1 for the lead. Williamson pushed Perry all the way but he always had enough in hand.

Line Up: Chapman, R/R - Mogridge, Clegg, Govier
Comments: Mogridge is for rider replacement.
Sharp gating by the Brummies. Perry cleared off. Fantastic effort by Chapman to hold off Clegg for 3 laps before Clegg put it in a bit wider in the dirt. Brave after last week to keep it screwed on down the home straight as the bike lifted and threatened to pull Clegg into the fence.

Heat 06: Ellis, Williamson, Mogridge, Kirby 3-3 22-14 Agg: 76-50 59.78
Line Up: Ellis, Kirby, Williamson, Mogridge
Comments: Heathens pop out the start. Didn't make any difference. Ellis passed both inside as they hit the backstraight of lap 1. Ellis simply sensational. He's racing to the line tonight. He wants the track record off Wajtknecht by the looks of it.

Line Up: Perry, Smith, R/R - Williamson, Ritchings
Comments: Williamson is for rider replacement.
Williamson all the way. Ritchings threatened to join him by rounding the Brummies but Perry hold a good line inside bends 3 and 4 to level out and chase Williamson going into lap 2. He got close lap 3 but Williamson gave him a face full of dirt on consecutive turns and slowed Perry's momentum.

Line Up: Kirby, Parkinson-Blackburn, Govier, MogridgeHarris
Comments: Mogridge replaces Harris.
Super ride to bounce back as Parkinson-Blackburn leads comfortably all the way. Govier missed it by so much for a moment I thought he was off 15 metres! Cracking effort after that. Plenty quicker then Kirby who was probably happy it was only 4 laps.

Heat 09: Mogridge, Williamson, Chapman, Parkinson-Blackburn 1-5 29-25 Agg: 83-61 63.34
Line Up: Chapman, R/R - Parkinson-Blackburn, Williamson, Mogridge
Comments: Parkinson-Blackburn is for rider replacement.
Well, well. Maybe there's a bit of fight left in the Heathens. Mogridge rounded the home paring on the first turn to lead all the way from bend 2 lap 1. Williamson had missed it horribly but got his head down to chase them down. He put in in the dirt and rounded Parkinson-Blackburn on bends 3 and 4 lap 2 with the youngest briefly trying to hit him back. He then rounded Chapman off bend 4 lap 3 and over the start line into lap 4. Ride of the night.

Heat 10: Ellis, Ritchings, Kirby, Harris 4-2 33-27 Agg: 87-63 60.16
Line Up: Ellis, Kirby, R/R - Harris, Ritchings
Comments: Harris is for rider replacement.
Forget Ellis. Kirby with a super start and made Ritchings work. Ritchings out wide bends 3 and 4 lap 1 then dived through on the inside of bend 1 lap 2 for the 2nd time. Harris closed right in on Kirby late on. Kirby running out of steam as the races progress tonight.

Heat 11: Perry, Clegg, Smith, Govier - Fell 4-2 37-29 Agg: 91-65 61.97
Line Up: Perry, Smith, Clegg, Govier
Comments: Even gate by the Heathens assets. Looked like Clegg had edged it but Perry rounded him nicely off bend 2 lap 1. Clegg chased him hard and was close last lap without ever being in a position to make a move.

Heat 12: Mogridge, Ritchings, Chapman, Parkinson-Blackburn 1-5 38-34 Agg: 92-70 63.31
Line Up: Chapman, Parkinson-Blackburn, R/R - Ritchings, Mogridge
Comments: Ritchings is for rider replacement.
Good first turn by the Heathens duo to hit the front and never looked back. Mogridge working hard again and leading the resistance in some regard in recent weeks.
Sponsored by
Heat 13: Ellis, Clegg, Perry, Williamson 4-2 42-36 Agg: 96-72 60.85
Line Up: Ellis, Perry, Clegg, Williamson
Comments: Clegg reacted well from the tapes but Ellis's bike drives well and he got a wheel ahead of Clegg by the first apex and slightly wrong footed Clegg which almost allowed Perry through. Williamson pushed Perry hard early on before being dropped and Perry pushed Clegg hard for 2nd.

Heat 14: Ritchings, Mogridge, Smith, Chapman 1-5 43-41 Agg: 97-77 63.31
Line Up: R/R - Chapman, Smith, Ritchings, MogridgeHarris
Comments: Chapman is for rider replacement and Mogridge replaces Harris.
Race Stopped, Chapman down and all 4 back for the re-run.
Re-Run: Race Stopped, No idea why. Maybe because the meeting was in danger of not taking more than 2 hours to run. All 4 back for the re-run.
Re-Run X2: 3rd attempt and for the 3rd time the Heathens hit the front and never looked back.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Ellis, Clegg, Perry, Williamson - Engine Failure 4-2 47-43 Agg: 101-79 61.21
Line-up: Ellis, Perry, Clegg, Williamson
Comments: Williamson's clutch immediately dropped after the start of the race.
Smart first turn by Clegg to try to steam under Ellis and he nearly got there. Stayed a lot closer to him this time but Ellis kept edging away throughout. Stunning maximum by Ellis. Congrats. Perry chased hard after Clegg but similarly slipped back throughout.
That's a respectable score for a much weakened Heathens. Shame we couldn't see the two original line-ups face each other when it mattered. Well Done Brummies.
