7. Ryan Kinsley - 0 , 1' , 1' = 2+2
Weather: Cold bits of drizzle around.
SCB Referee: Margaret Vardy
Going to crack on with the meeting as it's cold, no parade.
Surprisingly low crowd, perhaps our lowest since returning in 2010. Can't think why it wold be so. They can't all be Spurs fans. Actually a lot of Cradley fans who are football fans too who support the Baggies.
There's a wolves flag on the infield third / fourth bend. Not only is it sagging on the floor but it's been put up upside down by the look of it. I know it's been a rough couple of season s for the dog heads but I didn't know they were officially in distress! The periscope police have just made an announcement!
Heat Results
Heat 01: Stokes, Clegg, Bewley, Hazelden 3-3 59.67
Line Up: Clegg, R/R - Bewley, Stokes, Hazelden
Comments: Bewley is for rider replacement.
Stokes all the way. Bewley levelled out 2nd Clegg looked really unsure where, how or if to pass him. Bewley makes a mistake on bend 4 lap 2 and somehow saves it with both feet off the foot rests. Clegg somehow avoids him inside. Bewley in the gas back from Hazelden.

Heat 02: Basford, Andrews, Cupitt, Kinsley 5-1 8-4 61.38
Line Up: Andrews, Basford, Cupitt, Kinsley
Comments: Basford an Kinsley gate level. Basford finds it grippy and accidentally takes Kinsley all the way to the fence and leaves him last. Next lap Basford again drifts out and ruins Cupitt#s line. Andrews takes advantage a 2nd time and holds on for 2nd. Basford was also wide every other turn.

Heat 03: Bewley, Bailey, Chessell, Campos 4-2 12-6 59.80
Line Up: Chessell, Bewley, Campos, Bailey
Comments: Heathens gate. Chessell leading makes an error bend 4 lap 1 allowing Bewley through. He took off and looked impressive in a sharp rain and hail shower. Chessell gave up a huge lead on Bailey by making further errors. Bailey rode well to close him down and pass on the run in to the finish line for 2nd. Just waiting for shower to pass. Nearly stopped. Had a lovely rainbow throughout with the setting sun shining from the west.

Track Grading
Heat 04: Morris, Greaves, Kinsley, Basford - Fell 3-3 15-9 58.19
Line Up: Morris, Basford, Greaves, Kinsley
Comments: Heathens off the gate the quickest. Basford starting to drift again allowing Greaves through into 2nd. Wells spread. Basford fell from a comfortable 3rd.

Heat 05: Bewley, Chessell, Stokes, Hazelden - Fell / Remounted 5-1 20-10 59.69
Line Up: Chessell, Bewley, Stokes, Hazelden
Comments: Hazelden fell and remounted on bend 2 lap 1. Fair play award as Heathens were already on a 5-1. Heathens all the way but of note - Bewley flying a mile clear (the boy can gate) and Chessell looking a little uncomfortable with conditions tonight.

Line Up: R/R - Chessell, Basford, Hazelden, Cupitt
Comments: Chessell is for rider replacement.
From the gate. Basford gave it go around the outside of bends 3 and 4 lap 1 but didn't have the space in the home straight and had to shut off. Kept trying but didn't get as close again. Can tell how dark and close the cloud is from chucking it down at the stadium, not far away as I live a short distance from the track and it's raining here.

Heat 09: Chessell, Greaves, Bewley, Cupitt 4-2 34-20 59.62
Line Up: Chessell, Bewley, Greaves, Cupitt
Comments: That's more like it all round. Best race so far. Well only proper race to be fair. Greaves challenging hard under Chessell at every opportunity with Chessell looking by far and away the best he had all night. Good race. Bewley was... erm... "lively" I think describes it!

Heat 10: Clegg, Bailey, Campos, Andrews 3-3 37-23 59.50
Line Up: Clegg, R/R - Andrews, Campos, Bailey
Comments: Andrews is for rider replacement.
From the gate. I've seen Clegg look a lot quicker than this but doing his job before anyone jumps on his back. Andrews did well go save it after a mistake entering bend 3 lap 1. Bailey has had a good steady night.

Heat 11: Re-Run: Morris, Stokes, Andrews 4-2 41-25 59.30 (Hazelden - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Morris, Andrews, Stokes, Hazelden
Comments: Race Stopped, Hazelden fell on bend 4 lap 1 and is excluded from the re-run. Shame for Andrews who rode a cracking first turn to turn back and pass both King's Lynn riders down the backstraight. Was still holding 2nd as the race was stopped during lap 2.
Re-Run: Morris all the way a mile up front. Last 2 and half laps looking down at the bike and eventually shut it off and rolled to the line. Andrews with a replica smart turn. Immediately from the start looked across and held back waiting for Stokes to drift off the kerb. Passed him down off the turn again and made Stokes work for it for a lap and half. Fish play to Stokes for a cool and calm turn off turn 2 to retake 2nd. Slightly disappointed that Morris didn't have a look on lap 1. He was nursing the bike a little later on but not early on in the heat.

Heat 12: Chessell, Campos, Basford, Cupitt 4-2 45-27 60.90
Line Up: Chessell, Basford, Campos, Cupitt
Comments: Race Stopped. Basford might have moved a touch. Think he as gone before the green light came on let alone waiting for the tapes to go up lol. All 4 back for the re-run. Spots of light rain again.
Re-Run: Chessell all the way. Campos had to hold out a determined first bend effort by Basford but then clear 2nd. Cupitt gave it everything and got close by the flag. Good effort from a fair way back earlier on in the race.

Lashing it down now. The racing slicker line is very wet now. It has been called off. Correct decision.
