Heat Results
Heat 01: Clegg, Ayres, Parkinson-Blackburn, R Andrews 3-3 (40-56) 55.43
Line Up: Clegg, R Andrews, Ayres, R/R - Parkinson-Blackburn
Comments: 21st CH: Ayres away first, overlocked off bend 4 lap 1 and Clegg dived through, At the same time, Parkinson-Blackburn moved nicely inside R Andrews for 3rd. Brummies nowhere Clegg but well clear of Andrews.
Tracey: Clegg gated initially but Ayres got past. Unfortunately he lost it a bit on bend 3 and Clegg got it back. I was so busy watching that I didn't see Parkinson-Blackburn go past R Andrews which came as a pleasant surprise!

Heat 02: Smith, Parkinson-Blackburn, Basford, B Andrews 1-5 (4-8) (41-61) 57.18
Line Up: Basford, B Andrews, Smith, Parkinson-Blackburn
Comments: 21st CH: Basford gated quite well but the Brummies quickly squeezed him out and took off. B Andrews tried to dive bomb Basford last bend.
Tracey: Basford gated but Smith came up the inside and moved him across enough for both him and Parkinson-Blackburn to go through. Beautiful move.

Heat 03: Bacon, Ritchings, Lawlor, Hopwood - Fell / Remounted 1-5 (5-13) (42-66) 57.07
Line Up: Hopwood, R/R - Lawlor, Ritchings, Bacon
Comments: 21st CH: Bacon showing how he rolls #boom Won it by a mile. Hopwood slipped off from 3rd. Lawlor came on strong last couple of laps and got close enough to Ritchings to give him the hurry up.
Tracey: Brummies gated and Ritchings moved out beautifully on bend 2 to stop Hopwood's run round the outside. Hopwood fell on his own on lap 2 but got up and carried on. Lawlor was on the pace but not enough to pass Ritchings.

Heat 04: Morris, B Andrews, Perry - Fell, remounted, Parkinson-Blackburn - Engine Failure 5-1 (10-14) (47-67) 56.19
Line Up: Morris, B Andrews, Perry, Parkinson-Blackburn
Comments: 21st CH: Morris all the way. Perry all over his back wheel and the faster of the two. Chucked it in too hard last bend and slipped off. It's on boys and girls. The comeback starts here. That should galvanise the team.
Tracey: Morris made the gate and Perry set off in pursuit. Parkinson-Blackburn had an engine failure lap 1. Perry tried everything to get past Morris but fell while trying for the cutback on bend 4 last lap, he got up and crossed the line for 3rd.

Heat 05: Ayres, Hopwood, Lawlor, Geary 3-3 (13-17) (50-70) 57.38
Line Up: Hopwood, R/R - Lawlor, Ayres, R/R - Geary
Comments: 21st CH: Ayres all the way although Hopwood almost steamed up the inside on backstraight. Ayres has done a lap after the race bit rather than celebrate in his usual style has essentially apologised to the Heathens fans for winning the race lol. #We love Danny.
Tracey: Bit of to-ing and fro-ing between Ayres and Hopwood during lap 1 before Ayres stretched away for the win.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Perry, Smith, Clegg, R Andrews 1-5 (14-22) (51-75) 56.62
Line Up: Clegg, R Andrews, Perry, Smith
Comments: 21st CH: Clegg away first but a sensational bends 1 and 2 by the Brummies to go either side. Perry had a look off bend 4 but decided to go. Smith rode the race of his life to hold off Clegg. Clegg tried to scare him out of the way with massive dive bombs for two laps before trying everything else in his arsenal. Perfect last bend by Smith prevented Clegg from cutting back and blocked in outside pass. Perfect line and brilliant ride.
Tracey: Clegg gated but on bend 2 Perry went past on the inside and Smith on the outside. Beautiful move. Clegg threw everything at Smith and clashed at one point but Smith stuck to his guns. Brilliant race.
Sponsored by
Heat 07: Morris, Bacon, Ritchings, Basford - Fell 3-3 (17-25) (54-78) 56.81
Line Up: Morris, Basford, Ritchings, Bacon
Comments: Race Stopped. Bacon rolled and all 4 back for the re-run.
Re-Run: 21st CH: Morris away but Bacon rode a super backstraight to hit bend 3 first. Overslides slightly and lost momentum on bend 4 allowing Morris an easy route back to the front. Morris took off from there. Basford fell on the last bend. Awkward one but he got up and rode away afterwards.
Tracey: Morris gated but Bacon moved him over and went past. Unfortunately Bacon then made an error on bend 4 allowing Morris to take the lead again and the Brummies sensibly settled in for 2nd and 3rd. Basford fell on his own on the last bend.

Heat 08: Parkinson-Blackburn, R Andrews, Geary, B Andrews 2-4 (19-29) (56-82) 57.75
Line Up: R Andrews, B Andrews, R/R - Geary, Parkinson-Blackburn
Comments: 21st CH: R Andrews reacted brilliantly as the tapes rose but was still nowhere near the Brummies at bend 1. Took lap and half to round Geary.
Tracey: Brummies gated and Geary made a valiant effort to keep R Andrews out but was passed on lap 2.
Sponsored by
Heat 09: Hopwood, Smith, Perry, Lawlor 3-3 (22-32) (59-85) 58.19
Line Up: Hopwood, R/R - Lawlor, Perry, Smith
Comments: 21st CH: Hopwood all the way. Smith pushed him hard all the way. Perry lifted really badly and did well not to loop it. Still at the gate they hit the bend, passed Lawlor lap 3 and caught the leaders. Another lap he have won it.
Tracey: Not sure what happened to Perry at the tapes but, as bad starts go, it was one of the worst! Luckily he managed to overhaul Lawlor. Hopwood was untroubled at the front.

Heat 10: Clegg, Bacon, R Andrews, Ritchings 4-2 (26-34) (63-87) 56.38
Line Up: Clegg, R Andrews, Ritchings, Bacon
Comments: 21st CH: B Andrews passed Ritchings on bends 3 and 4 lap 1 as the Brummies rider made a mistake. More mistakes by Ritchings saw him lose a lot of ground. Composed himself for the last lap and half and made most of it up again.
Tracey: A 3-3 would have mathematically put us through. Unfortunately Ritchings had an issue on bend 3 (not sure whether mechanical or error) and dropped back to 4th.
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Morris, Ayres, Smith, Basford 3-3 (29-37) (66-90) 57.19
Line Up: Morris, Basford, Ayres, R/R - Smith
Comments: 21st CH: What a race! Ayres away but Morris gets inside him off bend 2 to hit bend 3 first. Ayres put it in the dirt and stormed around Morris to lead off bend 4. Morris tried hugging he kerb and cutting back, didn't work so switched outside and went big on the pits turn. Brilliant outside pass by Morris because it goes off camber there and that move can go horribly wrong at times here. Ayres wasn't letting him have it and tried to dive inside and move Morris aside off the next bend. Morris held his nerve as the went broadside shoulder to shoulder. Brilliant stuff.

Heat 12: Hopwood, Ritchings, Parkinson-Blackburn, B Andrews 3-3 (32-40) (69-93) 58.13
Line Up: Hopwood, B Andrews, Ritchings, Smith
Comments: 21st CH: Hopwood inside Ritchings bend 2 and that was that.
Tracey: Hopwood gated and Ritchings tried to get past but had to shut off causing Parkinson-Blackburn to practically come to a halt.
Sponsored by
Heat 13: Morris, Clegg, Perry, Ayres 5-1 (37-41) (74-94) 56.75
Line Up: Clegg, Morris, Ayres, Perry
Comments: 21st CH: My word what a race. Ayres moved and jumped the start but was allowed to over away with it. Morris passed him then Perry off bend 2. Clegg got inside him bend 4. Perry all over Morris and Clegg all over Perry. Barely a fag paper between all three riders all the way to the flag with Clegg eventually squeezing through and making it stick.
Tracey: Cracking race with Perry all over Clegg and Morris.

Heat 14: Bacon, Smith, Lawlor, Basford 1-5 (38-46) (75-99) 58.32
Line Up: R/R - Lawlor, Basford, Bacon, Smith
Comments: 21st CH: Brummies all the way, Lawlor will do for me as he kept pace with the. Just needs someone to spend the winter with him getting him off the starts ahead or in the mix a bit more.
Tracey: From the gate.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Morris, Clegg, Bacon, Perry 5-1 (43-47) (80-100) 57.62
Line-up: Clegg, Morris, Bacon, Perry
Comments: 21st CH: Sensational racing again. You won't see better than those opening laps. There shall don't be room for damn near 4 abreast around here but they were close. Morris gated well. Bacon almost went with him. He clamped Clegg who hit the kerb and straightened up, doing well to recover. Bacon and Perry stormed after Morris and were both on his back wheel. Clegg recovered quickly and rode the kerb to go level with the Brummies who were still right on Morris. Clegg stormed under both Brummies backstraight lap 3 for 2nd. Perry rolled home presumably with a bike problem.
Some cracking racing tonight which many riders contributed to. Congrats tot he Brummies. Ride of the night goes to Smith for the stunning ride to hold off Clegg.
Tracey: Cracking race to finish, any of the four riders could have won it but Clegg and Morris deservedly got the win.
