Heat 01: Watt, Todd Kurtz, Brady Kurtz, Riordan
Line Up: T Kurtz, Riordan, B Kurtz, Watt
Comments:Todd Kurtz in red moved them out a little going into turn one to make it difficult. Watt took a lap to round him up, sail by, then ride away from the field. Impressive.

Heat 02: Proctor, Holder, Campton, Lidsey
Line Up: Lidsey, Proctor, Holder, Campton
Comments:Best from the gate by Proctor, got his nose in front, then as you were for the next four laps. Uneventful.

Heat 03: Batchelor, Masters, Pickering, Stewart
Line Up: Masters, Batchelor, Stewart, Pickering
Comments: Nothing wrong with Batchelors gating, got in front and faultless from there on. Nothing Masters could do about it. Pickering round Stewart for third

Heat 04: Re-run Sedgmen, Morris, Tungate, Fricke
Line Up: Morris, Sedgmen, Tungate, Fricke
Comments: Stopped. Sedgmen got out of shape going into turn one, clattered into Tungate and both ended up in the airfence. Both seem to be ok but are winded and will feel it tomorrow. Not sure if Sedgy had help from his inside or not. Ambulance still on track, word from the refs box is all four back. Ref must have thought Sedgy had help and didn't do it all on his own. All riders back in pits, just fixing the airfence. Two back on track, two still working on spare bikes....Happily all four now ready. In the re-run, Three abreast from the gate with no way through for Fricke. A big pair of Cohuna's on Sedgmen as he forced his way clear. Morris close but not close enough. Fricke couldn't conjure up a pass on Tungate to pinch third

Track work etc...
The infamous "10 minute break while the sun gets out the way" announcement just made.
Heat 05: Re-run Lidsey, Fricke, Todd Kurtz
Line Up: Fricke, T Kurtz, Lidsey, Stewart
Comments: Stopped. Lidsey down turn 3 lap 1, Stewart excluded for a slight nudge to help Lidsey on his way. Lidsey ok. In re-run, not Fricke's night, was leading in the first attempt but Lidsey nailed the start the second time and held on despite Fricke being glued to his back wheel

Heat 06: Masters, Sedgmen, Holder, Riordan
Line Up: Sedgmen, Masters, Riordan, Holder
Comments: Masters by inches. Masters well away, for two laps Sedgmen was torn between attacking Masters and fending off Holder. Sedgmen eventually decided on attack and failed by the narrowest of margins
Sponsored by
Heat 07: Morris, Brady Kurtz, Batchelor, Proctor
Line Up: Batchelor, Morris, Proctor, B Kurtz
Comments: Batchelor slowly away and Morris the best out the traps. Kurtz kept nibbling away and threatening and Morris knew he was there but Morris kept it neat and tidy. Surprisingly Batchelor made no impact

Heat 08: Watt, Tungate, Pickering, Campton.
Line Up: Watt, Campton, Pickering, Tungate
Comments: Watt well away from Campton. Tungate soon got by Campton into second followed by Pickering a little while later. Campton would have been disappointed he couldn't hold second

Supports then tractors
Heat 09: Tungate, Holder, Batchelor, Todd Kurtz
Line Up: Holder, Tungate, T Kurtz, Batchelor
Comments: All three on Batchelors inside got away well relegating Batch to last. Batchelor managed to advance by one place but the other two had gone. Holder annoyed Tungate without looking like passing
Sponsored by
Heat 10: Morris, Riordan, Pickering, Lidsey
Line Up: Pickering, Lidsey, Morris, Riordan
Comments: As expected for Morris, the whole field was the same distance apart for the whole race without getting closer or further apart
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Sedgmen, Brady Kurtz, Stewart, Campton
Line Up: Campton, Stewart, B Kurtz, Sedgmen
Comments: Sedgmen superb from gate 4 and willed himself into the lead round Kurtz. He is "on" tonight. Others spread out by the finish
Sponsored by
Heat 12: Watt, Fricke, Proctor, Masters ret
Line Up: Fricke, Watt, Masters, Proctor
Comments: Watt seems like he has a point to prove and killed the start to lead Fricke and Fricke wasn't able to land a blow. Masters was back in fourth and eventually retired, I'm not sure if the last placing aided the retirement or if mechanical issues caused the retirement

Tractor fans are ecstatic
Heat 13: Sedgmen, Todd Kurtz, Proctor, Pickering
Line Up: Proctor, Pickering, Sedgmen, T Kurtz
Comments: Sedgmen good off the line again from out wide in gate three. He made it look easy after that. Follow the leader for the other three.

Heat 14: Batchelor, Fricke, Campton, Riordan
Line Up: Riordan, Fricke, Campton, Batchelor
Comments: Fricke out the gate with Batchelor shuffled back to last. Batchelor dived through a gap exiting turn two to grab second, then went inside Fricke to pinch the lead. Fricke tried hard but Batchelor is back on track
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Masters, Lidsey, Tungate, Brady Kurtz
Line-up: Tungate, B Kurtz, Masters, Lidsey
Comments: Easy for Masters, Tungate fell asleep, shut off early and Lidsey pounced to pinch second

Heat 16: Re-run Watt, Morris, Stewart, Holder
Line Up: Stewart, Holder, Watt, Morris
Comments: Stopped. Messy start, someone moved early, Morris the mover, Morris warned. In the re-run, Watt's great night continues. Morris from yellow couldnt get round Watt going into turn 1 and that was it. Holder was in last but his bike packed up last bend last lap and he coasted over the line
Heat 17: Morris, Masters, Campton, Todd Kurtz.
Line Up: T Kurtz, Campton, Morris, Masters
Comments: Masters a bit tardy away and Morris into turn one first, boring after that. Masters left himself a bit too much to do to catch Morris
Heat 18: Tungate, Riordan, Proctor, Stewart
Line Up: Stewart, Riordan, Proctor, Tungate
Comments: Tungate had been the form rider of the four and that continued. Riordan quite close but you always thought Tungate was in control
Heat 19: Fricke, Pickering, Holder, Brady Kurtz.
Line Up: B Kurtz, Pickering, Fricke, Holder
Comments: Finally Fricke gets dialled in but Pickering kept him very honest. Holder and Kurtz both completed stinkers of a night by their standards
Heat 20: Sedgmen, Batchelor, Watt, Lidsey
Line Up: Lidsey, Sedgmen, Batchelor, Watt
Comments: It was like synchronised riding for the first two laps with the first three side by side. Sedgmen finally decided he had enough of that and inched ahead. Batchelor did likewise to push Watt back to third. It was a bit hot for Lidsey who could only watch in awe and enjoy the view up ahead
Track work, supports, reserves race while they get the abacus out
B Final: Batchelor, Tungate, Fricke, Masters ret.
Line Up: Tungate, Masters, Batchelor, Fricke
Comments: Stunning. Tungate in front for 3 laps with Batchelor all over him like an old fashioned nightshirt. At the end of lap 3 Batchelor saw a gap, dived up the inside, and made the move stick. Batchelor over the moon, Tungate not so thrilled. Masters retired out the back.
Matthew Gilmore won the reserves race in a better time than some of the main event. His report card reads "the boy can ride"
A Final: Watt, Sedgmen, Batchelor, Morris
Line Up: Morris, Sedgmen, Watt, Batchelor
Comments: I didn't pick that !! Watt just kept it simple, gate well, ride well, keep it neat and tidy, and don't make mistakes.... and it worked. Fair play to him. Sedgmen always lurking, Batchelor a bit too much to do from gate 4, and Morris was never in it.
