Heat 01: Watt, Holder, Pickering, Campton
Line Up: Holder, Watt, Pickering, Campton
Comments: Totally boring apart from Pickering doing the usual and pinching third from Campton. A procession otherwise.

Heat 02: Masters, Stewart, Lidsey, Sedgmen (Fx)
Line Up: Sedgmen, Masters, Lidsey, Stewart
Comments: Stopped. Sedgmen didn't make the best of starts and binned it in turn 1 trying to make up ground. "He hydroslided" into the fence. Sedgmen excluded. Masters in a canter, Mildura pride at stake for the placings, Stewart held off the persistent but unsuccessful Lidsey

Heat 03: Fricke, Morris, B Kurtz, T Kurtz
Line Up: T Kurtz, Morris, Fricke, B Kurtz
Comments: Stopped, Todd Kurtz moved a bit early. Fricke was in the lead as they entered the back straight.
Re Run: Total dogs breakfast of a start. Horrible. All four back. You could have blamed any one of the four.
Re Run: The real Fricke turned up in place of the poor imitation from Gillman. Daylight second

Heat 04: Batchelor, Riordan, Tungate, Proctor
Line Up: Riordan, Batchelor, Proctor, Tungate
Comments: We could be here till next Monday. stopped, Batchelor a bit too keen to get underway.
Re Run: Batchelor a wee bit too good, Riordan continues to put himself in the mix without a lot of luck, Tungate won the battle for the odd point.

08.55 Tractors and music for a short while.
Heat 05: Sedgmen, Holder, Fricke, Tungate
Line Up: Tungate, Holder, Sedgmen, Fricke
Comments: Sedgmen is one tough and determined individual. Needed a win and got one. Uneventful behind him with nothing happening after they settled
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Watt, Lidsey, T Kurtz, Batchelor (Fx)
Line Up: Batchelor, T Kurtz, Watt, Lidsey
Comments: Stopped. Batchelor discovered he had an onboard BBQ and chucked the bike away with the engine in flames. Bike in the middle of track, Batchelor running in the general direction of away. An appeal has just gone out for some raw sausages. Watt had been in the lead. Batchelor excluded.
Re Run: Watt proving Gillman was no fluke with a strong win. Lidsey nice and steady for the two points
Sponsored by
Heat 07: Masters, Pickering, Morris, Riordan
Line Up: Morris, Riordan, Masters, Pickering
Comments: Fastest time of the night so far as Masters cruises around for4 laps. Pickering making Edinburgh fans happy with a nice second ahead of Morris. Riordan had a whoopsie out the back and tailed off
Sponsored by
Heat 08: B Kurtz, Proctor, Campton, Stewart
Line Up: Campton, Stewart, B Kurtz, Proctor
Comments: Far closer to the 2016 version of Brady with a relatively easy win. Proctor advanced from a sluggish start to snare second, not Stewart's night tonight
Sponsored by
Heat 09: Morris, Proctor, Lidsey, Holder.
Line Up: Lidsey, Proctor, Holder, Morris
Comments: Morris's turn to gate and ride away from the field, Proctor and Lidsey swapped places a couple of times, no idea why Holder isn't scoring better.

Heat 10: Sedgmen, Watt, B Kurtz, Riordan
Line Up: B Kurtz, Sedgmen, Riordan, Watt
Comments: Watt has no kitchen sinks left, he threw them all at Sedgmen but to no avail. I wasn't watching third and fourth, I assume they cruised around
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Fricke, Batchelor , Pickering, Stewart (Fx)
Line Up: Stewart, Fricke, Pickering, Batchelor
Comments: Stopped. An "oh poo, I've lost the back wheel and here comes a slide into the fence" moment for Stewart. Innocuous but he will be invited to watch the rerun from the wrong side of the fence.
Re Run: Belter. Fricke out in front and Batchelor harassing ... and harassing .... and harassing ... but not getting a result. Fricke too good. Pickering just watched from the safety of third

Heat 12: Masters, T Kurtz, Campton, Tungate (Ret)
Line Up: Tungate, Campton, T Kurtz, Masters
Comments: Double belter. Todd Kurtz led for 99% of the race with Masters trying every line known to mankind and finally one of the inside ones worked coming off the last bend. Nice one Sam.

Heat 16: Fricke, Lidsey, Campton, Riordan
Line Up: Fricke, Lidsey, Campton, Riordan
Comments: A different Fricke tonight, very good off the line and did it easy
Heat 17: Holder, Stewart, Todd Kurtz, Riordan
Line Up: Holder, Stewart, Riordan, T Kurtz
Comments: Jack Holder, where have you been for nearly two meetings ? The real Jack Holder stood up
Heat 18: Fricke, Watt, Proctor, Masters.
Line Up: Fricke, Watt, Masters, Proctor
Comments: Anyone who thinks Watt isn't trying isn't here. Again was giving it handfuls to try and get the better of Fricke. Fricke's Rospiggarna Kevlar must be making the difference
Heat 19: B Kurtz, Pickering, Tungate, Lidsey
Line Up: Pickering, B Kurtz, Tungate, Lidsey
Comments: Stopped Nerves cutting in with points vital so it was inevitable someone moved early. Edinburgh fans buy your season tickets now, you have an entertainer on your hands. How Pickering didn't get past Kurtz was a minor miracle, he did everything but pass. Kurtz did very well though
Heat 20: Sedgmen, Batchelor, Campton, Morris (Fx)
Line Up: Sedgmen, Batchelor, Morris, Campton
Comments: Stopped, Morris excluded. Morris came off all on his own in the middle of turns 3 and 4.
Re Run: Nice morale booster for Sedgmen on the cusp of the finals, despite Batchelor being parked on Sedgy's back wheel the Mildura man reigned supreme. Campton coasted around in the distance knowing he had the one point sewn up.
B Final: Sedgmen, Kurtz, Morris, Batchelor.
Line Up: Sedgmen, B Kurtz, Batchelor, Morris
Comments: A classic. Sedgmen on Kurtz's tail all race and somehow got extra drive off the last bend to pinch the win by inches. Can willpower produce extra horsepower? It seemed like it in that race.
A Final: Masters, Fricke, Watt, Sedgmen (Fx)
Line Up: Fricke, Watt, Masters, Sedgmen
Comments: Stopped. Sedgmen slid harmlessly off in turn 1. Waiting with baited breath. Will it be all four back or a brave exclusion ? Yellow exclusion light on but "a discussion is taking place" Three to start, Sedgy out.
Re Run: Masters had his nose in front early, Fricke always on the inside often drawing to within half a bike length, Masters on the outside with a better line into the turns always repelling Fricke's peeps at the lead. Watt not in it
