Texters Comments
Referee is D Holt
Teams now confirmed from trackside
Weather conditions are very cold with light drizzle. Sawdust is being put down on the track.
Olly Allen only arrived 20 minutes ago as he was stuck in traffic!
Coventry win toss and take gates 1 & 3
Heat 1: Norris tried hard to go round outside at the start but after bend 2 it was easy for the Bees.
Heat 2: Easy from the gate, Woodward looked awesome (rain has now stopped)
Heat 3: Pedersen from the gate but looked to slow up on last lap and a half, Andersson tried hard on the first lap to get past Schlein.
Heat 4: Bees from the gate, Bridger held Watt up badly at the start of lap 3 which cost Watt second place.
Heat 5: Pedersen from the tapes but appeared to slow again on the last lap, almost allowing Nicholls through. Andersson well last.
Heat 6: From the gate, Smolinski held off the challenge from Norris.
Heat 7: Reserve replacement: Bridger in for Woodward. Watt flew from the tapes to the flag. Bridger tried hard but didnt really trouble the Bees too much.
Heat 8: Reserve replacement: Woodward in for Bridger. Barker flew but Janniro kept him honest. Woodward slipped on bend 2 of lap 2 and bounced off the fence but managed to continue.
Heat 9: Andersson retired at the end of lap two. Pedersen appeared to slow at that point, almost allowing Bomber through.
Heat 10: Great move on the second bend of lap 2 for Norris to pass Allen. Barker and Harris had a great battle for four laps.
Heat 11: Woodward fell on first bend - all four back. Interval will be after Heat 12. Far too easy for the Bees, texter says that he is not happy Coventry pair pulling wheelies as they pass the tapes.
* Please note amendment to race result for Heat 10 *
Heat 12: Pedersen on a TR. Pedersen not challenged, Bridger nowhere and has ridden poorly since his first ride. Someone needs a word with him (texter's words)
Heat 13: From the gate, Watt tailed off.
Heat 14: First bend bunching - all four back. Andersson appeared to take a knock to the vitals - still down at the moment. Andersson now up and walking back to the pits
From the gate. Coventry win the meeting and to be honest deserve it, some of the Eagles riders need to look at themselves long and hard (deep sigh)
Heat 15: Norris Pedersen Harris Janniro
Eastbourne win the toss and take gates 1 & 3. Harris fell on the first bend - all four back. Pedersen easy win, Janniro easy second place, Norris got past Harris on lap 2 and then Harris went back past on the line.
Many thanks to ETFC for sending through the texts tonight and thankyou all for looking in. Goodnight
