Heat Results
Heat 01: Boxall, Morley, Lawlor, Walker 3-3 60.00
Line Up: Morley, Lawlor, Boxall, Walker
Comments: Boxall settled in the lead lap 1 and was an easy winner. Lawlor took two laps to think about it before cracking on and passing inside Walker for 3rd on bend 1 lap 3.
Sponsored by www.jaybeadesigns.co.uk/
Heat 02: Dwyer, Andrews, Rutherford, O'Keefe 4-2 (7-5) 62.37
Line Up: Dwyer, Rutherford, O'Keefe, Andrews
Comments: Well spread out after bend 2. Initially tight between the front 3 riders but Dwyer rode a good inside line to go from 3rd to 1st between apex and exiting the turn.
Electrician called to the officials box and it's all gone quiet from the speakers. Has the jukebox packed up Dave?

Heat 03: Re-Run: Compton, Greenwood, Harris 3-3 (10-8) 62.47 (Atkins - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Greenwood, Harris, Compton, Atkins
Comments: Race Stopped. Atkin at the back clouted the fence hard back first just after pit gate but luckily he looks fine and was actually clearing the track. Hopefully he hit it square on with his back protector and is uninjured. Looks potentially nasty. Was on his own at the back so he's out. Shame because Heathens pair rode a stormer first bend to go either side of Compton coming off bend 2 and were on a 5-1 going into lap 2. Atkins is excluded from the re-run. Music is back and It's Bon Jovi. Outstanding Mr Rowe.
Re-Run: Compton all the way this time. Made a slightly better start, got off bend 2 ahead and was comfortable. Harris tailed off is a possible concern for later. We are going to need him to have a good night.
Sponsored by andout www.canadianspeedway.com
Heat 04: Awarded: Perry, Roynon, Rutherford, Andrews - Fell 4-2 (14-10)
Line Up: Perry, Rutherford, Roynon, Andrews
Comments: Roynon gated but Perry put it straight in the dirt and swept around him looking as majestic as a herd of wildebeest migrating the African plains. Roynon gave chase but never quite got himself in position to challenge. Vital 3rd at the back for Rutherford who was holding Andrews at arms length. Andrews fell when he put it in the dirt to try a big one around the outside on bend 2 last lap.
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Heat 05: Re-Run: Boxall, Greenwood, Walker, Harris 2-4 (16-14) 61.67
Line Up: Greenwood, Harris, Boxall, Walker
Comments: Race Stopped. Boxall and Harris moved, all 4 back for the re-run.
Re-Run: Boxall all the way. Decent pace by Greenwood saw him close in a fair bit after losing ground. Harris nowhere and frankly it looks as through he's remembered he hates the place. We can ill-afford results like that given their heat leader strength.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Re-Run: Roynon, Morley, Lawlor, Andrews - Fell 3-3 (19-17) 61.53 (O'Keefe - Tapes / Excluded)
Line Up: Morley, Lawlor, Roynon,O'Keefe - Tapes Andrews
Comments: Unsatisfactory start, O'Keefe through the tapes and will go off 15 metres in the re-run. Full credit. He's straight back around before the tapes are fixed. Everybody else having a break by the pits gate. Oh, change of plan. Now Rogers has red the rules, perhaps, they will do a reserve switch. Andrews is now taking his place.
Re-Run: Lawlor held on well under pressure as Andrews got wider in the dirt trying to go large like Kevin and Perry. Think he bailed out rather than hitting the fence. Andrews fell backstraight off bend 2 lap 3 on his own.
Sponsored by Memories Of Poole Pirates Speedway Club www.facebook.com/groups/859822440748832/
Heat 07: Re-Run: Perry, Compton, Atkins, Dwyer 3-3 (22-20) 62.33
Line Up: Perry, Dwyer, Compton, Atkins
Comments: Unsatisfactory start, Perry jumped the start, all 4 back for the re-run.
Re-Run: Perry with a super start. stick it in the dirt and see ya later. Super ride for Plymouth by Atkins to take a potentially crucial 3rd. Poor one by Dwyer. Never looked like passing.
Sponsored by
Heat 08: Andrews, Walker, Rutherford, Lawlor 1-5 (23-25) 63.17
Line Up: Lawlor, Rutherford, Walker, Andrews
Comments: Andrews jumped it and won easily. Maybe the referee is fed up of restarts because no idea why it wasn't stopped. Good, if rather slow race between the other 3 riders. Rutherford holding 2nd mid-track. Walker trying to go wide around him but under consistent threat of Lawlor getting under him. Last bend going into bend 3 it looked like Lawlor would finally got through. Walker had one last ditch effort coming off bend 4 and got round Rutherford. Cracking ride and could win them the match effectively.

Heat 09: Re-Run: Harris, Greenwood, Roynon - Engine Failure 5-0 (28-25) (O'Keefe - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Greenwood, Harris, Roynon, O'Keefe
Comments: Race Stopped. Messy lap this. Somebody's bike sounded as rough as the girl I saw Sliverbee with that time in Cardiff. (It's alright he's a good mate). before the start. Must have been Roynon's as it's given up going into bend 1. As he drifted out of the race O'Keefe fails on the outside. Referee stops it with O'Keefe the cause of the stoppage on his backside and Roynon not under power. Ripped the pull-out out in disgust. After the red light came on Greenwood slipped off on his own on bend 3. No idea why there's a delay with the referee taking to someone on the pits. Has to be both Plymouth riders out. Easy decision. O'Keefe is excluded from the race as prime cause but Roynon back in. Utter shambles Roynon is given extra time to sort his bike out. Why is speedway so utterly crap at everything? I'm actually asking. Does anybody know?
On the plus side It's given the DJ time to play The Fratells for me.
Re-Run: Justice for the Black Country two! Love Roynon and I'm gutted for him, that looked very expensive. Seemed to seize up completely bend 1. Roynon on the infield absolutely fuming. Could see him waving his arms and ranting towards the pits. Somebody is getting sacked in the morning.

Heat 10: Morley, Compton, Atkins, Lawlor 3-3 (31-28)
Line Up: Morley, Lawlor, Compton, Atkins
Comments: Heathen-in waiting (I hope) all the way but Compton pushing hard. Couple of 'moments' in the dirt and speaking of 'having a moment' Atkins put it in the dirt bends 3 & 4 lap 1. He lifted quite violently but kept it screwed on and completed bend 4 on his back wheel and passed Lawlor in the process. Blind luck but fair play for having the you know what to stick with it and ride it out on one wheel.
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Perry, Boxall, Walker, Dwyer 3-3 (34-31) 61.37
Line Up: Perry, Dwyer, Boxall, Walker
Comments: Race of the night. Boxall away and Perry giving it the beans go chase him down. Try as he may it looked in vein until the last bend. Big handful and Perry got himself around Boxall coming off bend 4 in the run to the finish line. Sublime. Nowt doing at the back through and we're up against it.
Sponsored by
Heat 12: Greenwood, Compton, Rutherford, O'Keefe 4-2 (38-33) 62.34
Line Up: Greenwood, Rutherford, Compton, O'Keefe
Comments: Greenwood all the way with Compton never far behind and pressing hard. Could be another crucial odd point by Rutherford if we are to sneak it He's looked more steady tonight.
Sponsored by
Heat 13: Roynon, Perry, Morley, Boxall - Retired 3-3 (41-36) 61.52
Line Up: Morley, Perry, Boxall, Roynon
Comments: Visitors gated on a 5-1. Perry steamed from last to 2nd around the City Centre bend first time around and got on Roynon's back wheel. Chucked everything in but Roynon rode a super race. Morley charged up the inside off bend 2 lap 2 on Boxall and shook off his attempts to come back at him a lap later. Vital moves by our lads.
Sponsored by Speedway Fiction www.speedwayfiction.co.uk
Heat 14: Dwyer, Atkins, Harris, Andrews 4-2 (45-38) 63.08
Line Up: Harris, Dwyer, Atkins, Andrews
Comments: Wow we've pulled his one out the bag. I really couldn't see it. Looked like we'd got out on a 5-1 but Atkins rode a super backstraight to get into 2nd. Dwyer already clear. Explain that score card. His race wins were comfortable. Two lasts were poor.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Roynon, Perry, Greenwood, Compton - Retired 3-3 (48-41) 61.45
Line-up: Greenwood, Perry, Compton, Roynon
Comments: Roynon gated and immediately knew where Perry would be heading as he moved up to cover the fence. Perry tried for two laps to go wider and wider big there was no chance. Roynon rode a good race covering anything anybody could do and he pulled well clear for last two laps. Greenwood rode a clever first bend to move past Compton on the inside and he's had a super night for us. Compton big ol' bang at the back. Smelt very expensive that one.
Decent meeting that. Plymouth are unlucky not to take a point away.
