Heat Results
Heat 01: Wilson, Perry, Harris, Widman. 3-3, 60.89
Line Up: Perry, Harris, Wilson, Widman
Comments: From the gate. Track rode ok given the deluge last night and this morning.

Heat 02: Re-Run: Dwyer, Portwood, Sealey. Govier (FX).3-3, 6-6, 62.20
Line Up: Dwyer, Govier, Sealey, Portwood
Comments: Race Stopped. Govier lifted on bend 2, he bailed out off the back of the bike. Landed heavily but should be okay other than winded 21st thinks. He is excluded from the re-run.
Re-Run: From the gate. Really quick actually and spread out!

Heat 03: Hall, Lawlor, Cockle, Campos - Fell, Remounted, Retired . 5-1, 11-7 62.12
Line Up: Lawlor, Hall, Cockle, Campos
Comments: Campos lead but his back end came around and he slipped off on bends 1 & 2. Campos remounted to finish. Hall picked up the lead by going inside Lawlor on the backstraight. Easy from there. Cockle didn't challenge and rolled last bend. Somebody's clutch has gone (21 st could smell it). Hall was smoking at end of the race so hopefully nothing too serious.

Govier is complaining of elbow and knuckle pain. No official word yet on whether he's withdrawn.
Heat 04: Awarded: Ayres, Coles, Dwyer. Portwood (FX). 4-2, 15-9
Line Up: Ayres,Govier Dwyer, Coles, Portwood
Comments: Race Stopped. Portwood fell on lap 3. He gave the fence a clout but not too big a crash. Of extreme concern is that he appears to have lost his helmet in what in speedway terms was a relatively simple slide and whack to the fence. Bike broke the kick boards so a short delay.
We're waiting for fence repairs, but there's nothing being done. All they did was put a wooden stake behind where the kick board was broken clean in half. There's just 5 blokes standing in that area doing nothing now. Nobody seems to have informed the Clark of the Course to tell the referee they're done. Either that or the referee realises they have not actually repaired or replaced the broken board. Either way, shambles in speedway.

Heat 05: Hall, Wilson, Lawlor, Widman. 4-2, 19-11 61.46
Line Up: Lawlor, Hall, Wilson, Widman
Comments: Wilson ahead from the start. Lawlor nearly got a wheel up on the inside of Wilson just as Hall put it in the dirt and pulled nicely around the pair of them off turn 2.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Perry, Coles, Harris, Sealey. 4-2, 23-13 61.097
Line Up: Perry, Harris, Coles, Sealey
Comments: Perry away and Harris nearly went with him around Coles. Coles got a nice exit off turn 2 and very briefly pulled a wheel ahead of Perry. Only lasted about 5 metres! As you were from there.

Heat 07: Ayres, Cockle, Campos, Dwyer. 3-3, 26-16 61.44
Line Up: Ayres, Dwyer, Cockle, Campos
Comments: Race of the night for two laps between the visitors. Ayres well clear. Campos got slower and slower until he almost fell in to the clutches of Dwyer.

Heat 08: Dwyer, Harris, Widman, Portwood. 5-1, 31-17 62.65
Line Up: Harris,Govier Dwyer, Widman, Portwood
Comments: Easy as you like for the Heathens. Well clear of Widman. Not far from half a lap between Dwyer and Portwood.

Heat 09: Hall, Coles, Lawlor, Sealey. 4-2, 35-19 61.72
Line Up: Lawlor, Hall, Coles, Sealey
Comments: Proper race. Coles away with a good opening turn. Hall lined him up lovely going into turn 3 and used the dirt line perfectly. Coles did nothing wrong. He made Hall go wide for it but left plenty of room for both to stay safe. Nice move by Hall to lead off turn 4.

Heat 10: Perry, Cockle, Harris, Campos. 4-2, 39-21 62.47
Line Up: Perry, Harris, Cockle, Campos
Comments: Stopped. All 4 back. Campos gave Harris a right clout just as they got to the turn. He knocked him clean off. Cockle fell on his own just after the red lights. Both lads up ok but for 21st the IOW are a tad fortunate to get an all 4 back. Could have gone another way such is the fine margins in sport.
Re-Run: Warriors away. Perry went in the dirt and he swept around the pair of them on the first and second turns. Harris gave chase and got his elbows out off turn 4 lap 2 to barge his way under Campos for 3rd. He then pulled well clear to take the odd point with ease.

Heat 11: Ayres, Wilson, Dwyer, Widman. 4-2, 43-23 61.07
Line Up: Ayres, Dwyer, Wilson, Widman
Comments: Best race so far. Ayres away clear. Forget him. Wilson also with an easy ride for 2nd. Widman initially took 3rd in the early shake up. Dwyer with a good ride to get his head and chase him. He kept nibbling away and suddenly got level on the inside coming off turn 4 last lap. On the run to the line Dwyer stole it right on the line.

Comments: From the gate.

Heat 13: Ayres, Perry, Wilson, Coles. 5-1, 51-27 60.67
Line Up: Perry, Ayres, Wilson, Coles
Comments: IOW pair popped off the start but it didn't last long. Ayres missed it from the outside but stuck it in the dirt and blasted around the other three. He took off up front to win by half a straight in the fastest time of the night. Perry followed by flying around Coles off turn 4 then Wilson off turn 2 lap 2. Super stuff.

Heat 14: Hall, Dwyer, Campos, Portwood. 5-1, 56-28 62.91
Line Up: Hall, Dwyer, Campos, Portwood
Comments: Hall away. Dwyer sorted it all out to follow him and the Heathens pile on the misery.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Ayres, Perry, Wilson, Coles. 5-1, 61-29 61.52
Line-up: , , ,
Comments: Heathens all the way. Which is ironic given IOW had gate choice. The visitors both missed it! Ayres by a street but a superb effort by Wilson on the last two laps as he got right on Perry's back wheel and put him under severe pressure. Perry went a metre wider last turn to pick up some über grip to pull him to the line.
