Comments: Superb effort from Riss who was going so wide he could have ended up on the Greyhound track. It looked like he had nabbed 2nd from Howarth but Kyle blocked his line causing him to go to the back of the pack and never recover.

Heat 14: Worrall, Andersson, Kurtz, (Mountain - Fell / Excluded). 1-5 (40-44) No Time Awarded

Comments: Race stopped. Monarchs on a 1-5 with Mountain chasing Andersson for 2nd on b4L3. Mountain went into Andersson back wheel for an awkward looking crash. Kurtz did brilliantly to lay down his bike to avoid a pile up. Race Awarded, no time. Kurtz and Andersson were pretty much straight up. Mountain now up and walking back to the pits. Good to see all three riders walking away from a high speed crash.

Comments: From the gate. Wells gives chase early on but Wright soon pulled away.By lap three Wells had slowed to a halt. Texter thinks Monarchs made a huge mistake not putting Pickering or Riss for Worrall.

Dry all day until around 6.30pm when it started chucking it down with rain.
7.05pm - Rain still coming down heavy. Our texter is waiting outside until it is certain that racing will take place.
7.25pm - Our texter, SKJ, is now inside the stadium and says the track looks in a state but the sun has made an appearance! Meeting delayed until 8pm.
7.40pm - Rain has pretty much halted but track is in a state. Just have to hope the sun and the track staff can turn things around by 8pm!
Edinburgh Website says "A badly timed rain shower ahead of start time has lead to the Tigers being unwilling to ride. Track work is currently being carried out with the start time provisionally put back to 8pm."
It has been announced that Zaine Kennedy is the first Sheffield signing for 2019.
8.10pm - Texter says the track work still continuing. Edinburgh Website says "The clouds have almost entirely cleared, with the track being described as 'brick hard'. Track work continues."
8.20pm - Now confirmed that bikes are warming up and there should be racing soon.
