I recall in the past, that there used to be a special meeting the day or two after the Cardiff SGP, but within the region.
Is this still the case and if so, where and when?

There used to be the Welsh Open meeting at Newport the day after Cardiff. Sadly, Newport are now defunct and the track has gone. There was one occasion, in 2006, the Elite League Pairs was held the day after Cardiff. Riders complained about it and it was soon scrapped. Sadly, there will be no meetings after the Cardiff SGP in the UK involving the GP Riders as they're all off to Poland straight after the meeting for a league match. That could be different this year with Cardiff being held later in the year. |
