Our 15th season of update coverage of British speedway is now well and truly over for another year, it only seems like five minutes ago I was greeting everyone to the start of a new season. We've seen a fair few changes this season, teams going up, teams unfortunately closing and teams that on paper looked like they were not going to do anything, ending up in the play offs and finals and it appears that trend is going to continue next year going by the early announcements.
For me it has not been a bad year, the new grey hair production has remained relatively stable for once (thank goodness, hair dye is getting ever more expensive!) and the stress levels have, bar a few occasions, have been fairly low. We've also seen some new faces to the team which is always very welcome, especially for my stress levels.
Once again, I would like to thank my fellow team members for all their hard work, their ability to put up with my panic texts and their ability to ignore my stressy rants and their capability of understand my weird and wonderful musings.
Most of all though, I (on behalf of the team) would like to thank everyone who supports us, be that by just watching or by actively joining in...without you, we wouldn't have a reason to exist.
Thanks to all, Merry Christmas and a Happy new year
N.B Remember though, we don't shut entirely until the British season starts up again. Hopefully we will once again be bringing you the Aussie champs and any other international meetings that we can get our hands on during the UK closed season.
A big thank you to you both and all your colleagues for excellent Plymouth coverage as well as the many other tracks you serve. It is a vital and well received service for those like me who cannot make away meetings or wish to double check results and race times
Hopefully we can give people a short but sweet fix soon after the New Year begins. Aussie titles again if anyone is interested and this year it's full on with 5 rounds in 8 days. Kurri Kurri Sat 4th, Albury Wodonga Mon 6th, Undera Tue 7th, Mildura Thu 9th, & finally Gillman Sat 11th. Qualifier the day before the first round if required. If anyone is planning a visit and wants to update from Undera that will take a load off me because I'm the designated officer in charge of the crap & waffle over the PA and its a bit tricky updating at the same time. Happy days ahead
