Comments
Plymouth win the toss and take gates 1 & 3
Heat 1: Hurst retired whilst 2nd
Heat 2: Day fell on 2nd turn of last lap whilst 2nd on a 5-1 for Weymouth, Herne fast out of the gate
Heat 3: Irwin EX 2mins, Herne in as replacement, Herne fast out of gate again, Smart came from back to 2nd on 1st lap using the outside line
Heat 4: Day nearly fell again then retired, Roynon fast!
Heat 5: What a ride from Smart, 3rd to 1st over 2 laps using the outside
Heat 6: Hurst retired at the gate, looks like a shed chain from here (texter's words)
Heat 7: Brown retired whilst last, Herne is a very useful No.6! (Not No.6 for much longer methinks - updaters words!)
Heat 8: Guess what? Herne reserve change for Day! Hurst EX - lifted and fell on 2nd turn 1st lap whilst 2nd and on a 5-1 with Herne! To be re-run with 3 remaining riders. From the gate
Heat 9: From the gate although Roynon got close to Irwin
Heat 10: Herne in as reserve replacement for Hurst. Brown EX for nudging off D. Mason on 3rd turn 1st lap - Brown was last at the time, Waldron was leading Herne. Mason still down. Mason ok, re-run with remaining 3. Re-run again, texter thinks there was movement at the start. Herne led from gate, Mason passed Waldron 2nd turn 1st lap. Herne 5 wins from 5 by heat 10!
Heat 11: Reserve change Day for Herne, Roynon from -15m as a golden double tactical substitute. Tapes held for an eternity, Day got bored and hit them and got EX. He's now going off -15m too! Stephens didn't even look for Roynon (on a tactical) and beat Roynon by a few inches! - Doh! (updater's words!)
Heat 12: Reserve change Herne for Day, reserve replacement Webster for Brown. Webster fell whilst last. Good tussle between Herne and Glanz but Herne got the better
Interval now
Heat 13: K. Mason dived real hard under Stephens on 3rd turn lap 3 to avert the 5-1 that Plymouth were on
Heat 14: Reserve change Glanz in for Webster. Irwin fell whilst on a 5-1 with Herne, Plymouth off the hook! Herne just got given the bumps
Heat 15: Weymouth take 1 & 3. Smart round the outside on 1st and 2nd turns of lap 1 - great ride
Cracking meeting, lots of twists and turns, great riding from Smarty and Herne.
Rider of the night voted as Jay Herne - well deserved
Thanks to you all and Goodnight!
