COMMENTS:
Boothers has arrived trackside, lovely sunny day on the way to the track, but it is now overcast and freezing!
Boothers Disclaimer; All comments are those of the texter and liable to error and bias
Teams confirmed as above.
Ht 1; New Track Record for Havelock easy stuff from the tapes. Burrows looked dashing in new gear. Keskinen looked steady not far off the pace.
Ht 2; Auty took the lead after the 2nd bend and was never troubled. Bugeja tried but to no avail.
Ht 3; From the gate and a very easy track record for Grieves.
Ht 4; An easy win for Proctor in his fastest around the circuit. Bugeja in the thick of it until an error on 4th bend of 2nd lap.
Bit of track work going on . . . .why?
Ht 5; From the gate, Complin looked quite fast once passed Burrows but never a danger to Grieves.
Ht 6; Easy for Havelock, Keskinen never left the tapes. Not looking forward to heat 8 but hey what do I know commented Boothers!
Ht 7; Good race, Proctor gated with Auty at the back. Auty got Evans underneath on 2nd bend of 2nd lap, Chasing after Barker he nearly got him until a mistake by Barker on the final lap 2nd bend which nearly brought them both down.
Ht 8; Auty r/c in for Bugeja in Blue. Boothers said I told you!. From the tapes, Auty chased hard but never really looked like passing Burrows.
Bit of watering going on now both on the track and in the loo . . . . sorry too much info there I suspect (Just can't get the staff to hold their water!)
Ht 9; Bears gated and Giffard looked to be riding a clever race to keep the threatening Sanchez until a mistakeentering 3rd bend on last lap let him through.
Ht 10; Bugeja r/c in for Keskinen in Blue. Potters gated, Havelock and then Bugeja picked off Evans by 2nd lap.
Ht 11; Bears gated . . . even Auty. Despite a good effort from Complin high and wide but could make no impression.
******* BRIEF INTERVAL *******
Ht 12; Bears gated but Barker fought through to the front and looked to win but a total cock up on the final bend let both Bears through.
Ht 13; Complin in as t/r black and white instead of green helmet. From the gate, classic team riding. Havelock lets Proctor have the win.
Ht 14; From the gate.
Ht 15; LINE UP;
PROCTOR ~ GRIEVES ~ BARKER ~ COMPLIN
Grieves from the gate but Proctor at the back who caught Complin on 2nd lap but couldn't get to Barker.
Thank you to Boothers for texting this evening as usual and also to everyone for joining in, hope you enjoyed it.
Goodnight!
