Heat 01: Woffinden,Lyons,Dicken,Wright(Ret) 4-2 69.4
Wright went well for a couple of bends but then slowed up and coasted around until Woffinden almost passed him on his last lap, which is when he finally retired. Dicken chased Lyons well and Woffinden was miles ahead.

Bit of a rubbish race really, Franchetti miles ahead, Smith and Branney in a good battle with Branney getting close quite a few times but each time thwarted by Smith 2 wheeling it.

Dicken and Stonehewer taking RR. Controversy! Stonehewer made the gate but a fast charging Makovsky got past, Dicken was trying an outside blast on Stonehewer when Stonehewer lost control and Dicken fell. Berwick fans not happy and Stonehewer not happy..... Dicken off to be checked over

Heat 04: Smith,Clews,Branney,Stonhewer(Ret) 5-1 71.3 17-7
Ref was called to the pits where he had a meeting with both team managers....meeting is to go ahead. In the race, Branney made the gate but was passed on the inside by Smith and outside by Clews on bend 3 and 4, Stonhewer retired on the back straight. Branney fell but remounted for the point on bend 4 lap 2.

Heat 05: Lyons,Makovsky,Wright,Franchetti 2-4 69.0 19-11
Franchetti taking RR. Lyons and Makovsky gate but Lyons had the outside gate and made it to the front first, they were miles ahead of the other 2. Wright seemed to give up until the last bend when he appeared to realise he was in 3rd and that Franchetti was not that far behind and put a spurt on.

Smith replaces Franchetti and Lyons takes RR and TR. Lyons well ahead. Smith held 2nd for a couple of laps but the texter didn't see when he got passed by Clews as he was talking to a little boy who got hit by some dirt....awwwww

Heat 08: Re-run Wright,Smith,Branney,Dicken(F/Ex) 2-4 70.5 29-22
To be re-run after Dicken fell on the second turn, Workington were on a 5-1 at the time. Dicken is up and excluded from the re-run. In re-run, Smith and Branney tangled on the first turn and were side by side going down the backstraight until Smith pulled away.....texter said it was then a competition to see who could go slowest!

Stonehewer from the gate but Makovsky got around him on the outside. Franchettie (who was RR) was poodling around at the back. Reima was slow but Franchetti was slower!

Clews RR and Smith replacing Franchetti. Haines made the start, Clews went around him turn 3+4 lap 2 and then Haines slowed with engine problems. Smith also had engine problems which allowed Branney through into second. No time as someone forgot to put the stop watch on!!

Liberally watered and plenty of dirt on track.
Apparently the Workington team are complaining about the track and Ian Thomas is on the track having a wee word or two.
Track does not look bad but it does have plenty of dirt on it.
Quite a few Workington fans (barbarians was said to me) have made the trip.
