Referee; TBC (21st doesn't buy a programme, I don't either at Eastie)
Weather; Plenty of cloud but escaped any rain, light wind, cool temps, going to be cold later
Track; As well prepared as usual, though 21st reckons a touch slicker than sometimes the case for the EL
Toss; Fen Tigers win toss and take gates 1&3
Heat Results
Heat 01: Smart, Hart, Rayson. 3-3, 3-3
Line Up: Lee Smart, Ashley Morris, Jerran Hart, Oliver Rayson
Comments:
Stopped; Morris missed the gate, but charged down back straight after Rayson, clipped him and had to bail out going into turn 3. Went under the fence and popped up perfectly ok after a few seconds, excluded from re-run
Re-Run; Same as first attempt. Clean start by Smart and untroubled. Hart looked to have decent pace and could be a threat later if he works out the right line.

Heat 02: Jacobs, Perry, Sarjeant, Laurence. 3-3, 6-6
Line Up: James Sarjeant, Tom Perry, Joe Jacobs, Nick Laurence
Comments:
As suspected Jacobs could be a real threat. From the gate and well spread. Not sure if Jacobs jumped the start or the other 3 missed it lol

Heat 03: Franklin, Anderson, Priest, Bates. 5-1, 11-7
Line Up: Richard Franklin, Jake Anderson, Matt Bates, Luke Priest
Comments:
Bates fell bend 1 lap 1 but got up to finish. Franklin missed the gate, obviously, but went from 3rd to 1st lap 1 around the inside. Looked pretty quick. Priest not close enough to challenge although Anderson not looking entirely comfortable

Heat 04: Evans, Armstrong, Perry, Laurence. 3-3, 14-10
Line Up: Jon Armstrong, Tom Perry, Barrie Evans, Nick Laurence
Comments:
Armstrong looked to have gone around the lot on turn 1/2 and back straight lap 1. Evans rode the better bottom turn though and slowly edged away and looked comfortable. Perry quickly dispatched Laurence lap 1

Heat 05: Hart, Anderson, Rayson, Franklin. 2-4, 16-14
Line Up: Richard Franklin, Jake Anderson, Jerran Hart, Oliver Rayson
Comments:
Very tight 1st turn. Hart round everyone to lead. Getting loads of grip he lifted 3 times on the straights but kept it screwed on. Great ride. Rayson passed FRanklin on inside going into last lap. Lifted as he got level with Franklin which caused him to shut off and let Rayson through for 1st

Heat 06: Smart, Evans, Jacobs, Morris. 3-3, 19-17
Line Up: Lee Smart, Ashley Morris, Barrie Evans, Joe Jacobs
Comments:
Morris fell turn 1/2 lap 4 trying too hard at the back after another poor start Smarty making a string of clean starts here at Monmore. Weird!! lol

Heat 07: Priest, Armstrong, Sarjeant, Bates- 3-3, 22-20
Line Up: Jon Armstrong, James Sarjeant, Matt Bates, Luke Priest
Comments:
Bates EF having just been passed by Sarjeant. Priest round Armstrong turn 2 lap 1. Great to see Luke take a win but as I posted on the BSF it had better not cost us if he goes well

Heat 08: Jacobs, Rayson, Perry, Morris. 1-5, 23-25
Line Up: Ashley Morris, Tom Perry, Oliver Rayson,
Comments:
Jacobs for Laurence
Morris EF going into lap 2. Morris looked furious and is having a nightmare league season so far clean start by the visitors and though Perry chased not close enough to challenge

Heat 09: Evans, Franklin, Anderson, Laurence. 3-3, 26-28
Line Up: Richard Franklin, Jake Anderson, Barrie Evans,
Comments:
Laurence for Jacobs
Evans good 1st lap to hold Heathens pairing as they tried either side of him. Great 3 way battle up front with nothing between them for 2 laps. Franklin then slipped past Anderson and came close to passing Evans on run to the line. Half a bike length in it.[/color]

Heat 10: Smart, Bates, Priest, Sarjeant. 3-3, 29-31
Line Up: Lee Smart,
Comments:
Sarjeant in for Morris
Sarjeant fell turn 1 lap 2 but got up to finish. Smarty from the tapes and by a mile. In a post code of his own.

Heat 11: Hart, Rayson, Armstrong, Perry. 1-5, 30-36
Line Up: Jon Armstrong,
Comments:
Perry in for Sarjeant
Perry fell turn 3 lap 1. Clean start by the visitors but great effort by Perry. Just as he looked like he'd gone from last to first he slipped off, and that was that. Armstrong never close to challenging. 30-36 at the interval. Fair play to Mildenhall. Can't see us getting out of this one. It's been a nightmare apart from Smarty and it's not even a good meeting! Oh and it's freezing now. 21st said he will let me know if there is anything else he can moan about
Oh yea, he says that the burger van isn't here for Heathens meetings to get a cuppa and the queue is too long in the bar.

Heat 12: Franklin, Perry, Jacobs, Bates. 5-1, 35-37
Line Up: Richard Franklin, Tom Perry, Matt Bates, Joe Jacobs
Comments:
Heathens come out fighting. Bates EF lap 2 while last. Heathens missed the gate but revesed the 5-1. First Perry goes from last to 1st on lap1 then Franklin follows him through and sits with Perry with Jacobs closeish

Heat 13: Smart, Hart, Evans, Armstrong. 3-3, 38-40
Line Up: Lee Smart, Jon Armstrong, Jerran Hart, Barrie Evans
Comments:
Stopped; Hart jumped the start but didn't touch tapes, All 4 back in, from the gate
Armstrong EF when last lap 1. Tight first turn but Smarty made the best of it and gently pulled clear throughout

Heat 14: Anderson, Jacobs, Perry, Priest. 4-2, 42-42
Line Up: Jake Anderson,
Comments:
Perry in for Sarjeant, Jacobs in for Laurence for the vital Heat 14
Brilliant opening lap, Heathens miss it again but Anderson round everyone turn 1/2 lap 1 as Perry turns back to pass both visitors down the back straight, but Jacobs brave to keep it wound on to repass Perry around the outside through an ever closing gap as they enter lap 2. Perry fair and squeezed him but left room between himself and the fence. Perry then gave chase and was never more than a couple of bike lengths behind.

Heat 15: Evans, Anderson, Hart, Smart. 2-4, 44-46
Line-up: Lee Smart, Jake Anderson, Barrie Evans, Jerran Hart
Comments:
Toss; Heathens win toss and take gates 1&3
Smart EF coming off turn 2 lap 1. Anderson reasonable close for lap and a half but dropped well back. The visitors take the points. The Heathens take home repair bills and frost bite

Teams confirmed.
Crowd is a little down on normal, but thats compared to very healthy crowds they've had
From 21st, one for the Heathens;-
Price of an EL Ticket - £16
Price of an NL Ticket - £10
Price of Porky in a Heathens T-Shirt - Priceless lol
21st said that the crowd filled out a lot just before the start of heat 1. The 558 from Dudley must of been running late lol
