Heat Results
Heat 01: Andersen, Harris, Summers, Bjerre. 3-3
Line Up: Harris, Summers, Andersen, Bjerre
Comments: Swindon take gates 1 & 3.
Harris gated but Andersen got bored of following him after lap 3 and cruised round the outside with ease. Summers doing his best Stead impression and nearly spun round at the end of lap 1 but Bjerre was even slower so couldn't pass.

Heat 02: Lampart, Alden, Franc, Thornblom. 1-5, 4-8,
Line Up: Franc, Thornblom, Alden, Lampart
Comments: Easy 5-1 after Franc remembered he wasn't riding in a GP. Lampart inspired by his 1998 Oxford Cheetahs wheel disc.
Sponsored by Steve Dixon www.stevedixonphotography.co.uk [/b]
Heat 03: Kennett, Stead, Larsen, Batchelor. 4-2, 8-10,
Line Up: Kennett, Larsen, Stead, Batchelor
Comments: Good ride by Stead to pass a sluggish Larsen. Troy 'the real Aussie Champion' Batchelor well behind.
Sponsored by [/b]
Heat 04: Nicholls, Lampart, Kildemand, Thornblom. 3-3, 11-13
Line Up: Nicholls, Thornblom, Kildemand, Lampart
Comments: Lampart moved. All 4 back.
Re-Run: Kildemand cruised past Nicholls out of bend 2 then on bends 3 and 4 he went for a burger, came back, and the Bees' Swede still hadn't passed him!
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Heat 05: Andersen, Kennett, Bjerre, Larsen. 2-4, 13-17
Line Up: Kennett, Larsen, Andersen, Bjerre
Comments: All 4 back. Larsen fell after Bjerre took his front wheel.
Re-run: Kennett doing a great impression of someone who could pass Andersen, but didn't!
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Summers, Kildemand, Alden. Harris (ret). 3-3, 16-20
Line Up: Harris, Summers, Kildemand, Alden
Comments: Bees on an easy 5-1 until Harris' bike gave up last lap. SB adds that's what happens when you buy engines from B & Q!

Heat 07: Batchelor, Nicholls, Stead, Franc. 2-4, 18-24
Line Up: Nicholls, Franc, Stead, Batchelor
Comments: Nicholls managed to pass Stead at the end of lap 1. He couldn't get any further though, to be fair it is hard to inroads when you've got Troy 'better than Chris Holder' Batchelor in front of you. (Updater: I hope that was sarcastic )
Sponsored by Merlin
Heat 08: Summers, Bjerre, Lampart, Thornblom. 3-3, 21-27
Line Up: Summers, Thornblom, Bjerre, Lampart
Comments: Meeting stupidly dull now. If you gate and get the wide line, you will win. Unless you're Harris!
Sponsored by
Heat 09: Kildemand, Larsen, Alden. Kennett (FX). 2-4, 23-31
Line Up: Kennett, Larsen, Kildemand, Alden
Comments: Stopped. Kennett fell while last on bend 3 lap 1. He went intothe corner way too tight and then pirouetted off. Kennett excluded.
Re-Run: Larsen tried to take Kildemand to the chip shop at the end of lap 1 but wasn't fast enough and Kildemand got away.

Heat 10: Harris, Stead, Summers, Batchelor. 4-2, 27-33
Line Up: Harris, Summers, Stead, Batchelor
Comments: Suspense for all 4 laps as Coventry fans were on the edge of their seats to see if Harris' bike would last 4 laps. Troy 'fans favourite' Batchelor flying at the back.
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Nicholls, Franc, Andersen, Bjerre. 5-1, 32-34
Line Up: Nicholls, Franc, Andersen, Bjerre
Comments: Franc squeezed down the outside of Andersen on lap 1. Nicholls then went past Andersen at the end of lap 1 but not before Hans had chucked the bike at both. The old man going soft - he missed both! Some diabolical team riding by the Bees after that seemed to do the trick and they eventually got home.

Heat 12: Franc, Alden, Stead, Kennett. 3-3, 35-37
Line Up: Kennett,Thornblom Franc, Stead, Alden
Comments: Franc replaces Coventry's superb master stroke of a signing (updater's comment).
Move of the night... From Blayne Scroggins for putting Franc in that one. Race from the gate though. Someone has clearly convinced Franc this is a GP, great work!

Interval
Heat 13: Nicholls, Andersen, Harris, Kildemand. 4-2, 39-39
Line Up: Harris, Nicholls, Andersen, Kildemand
Comments: Great cutback fron Nicholls to take the lead on the backstraight. Harris took 2 laps to realise the throttle goes on as well as off, then set off and passed Kildemand and caught Hans before coming up against what seemed like a very wide back wheel on the last bend.

Heat 14: Batchelor, Larsen, Lampart, Franc. 2-4, 41-43
Line Up: Larsen, Franc, Batchelor, Lampart
Comments: Someone has clearly talked Franc into thinking he's back at Shielfield. Poor work from Scroggins. SB is in awe of Troy 'I'm a better rider than that' Batchelor's 6 points.
Sponsored by Splod [/b]
Heat 15: Batchelor, Andersen, Nicholls. Harris (ret). 1-5, 42-48
Line-up: Harris, Nicholls, Andersen, Batchelor
Comments: Bees take gates 1 & 3.
Harris didn't even leave the tapes! Seized engine apparently. SB says hopefully he's in negotiations to buy Nathan Greaves 250cc off him as he's here too. Would do just as much damage to the scorers! Troy 'I didn't expect him to have 5 rides' Batchelor as meeting winner is something SB really wasn't hoping for! Well done Swindon.
