Heat 01: Birks, Warwick, Greenwood, Hopwood (F-rem). 4-2
Line Up: Birks, Greenwood, Warwick, Hopwood
Comments: Cracking start by Birks, all way from tapes to flag. Greenwood elbowed first turn does well to recover and take Hopwood outside tuirn3/4 lap 1. Chased Warwick without getting close enough to attempt a pass. hopwood slipped off last turn but didn't even make the fence. Staright up and over the line to complete race.

Heat 02: White-Williams, Ritchings, Walter, Stoneman (F-rem, Ret). 5-1, 9-3
Line Up: Ritchings, White-Williams, Walter, Stoneman
Comments: Stopped - unsat start, W-W rolling. All 4 back.
W-W flyer and all the way with ease. Ricthings lifted badlybut recovered to creep round kerb. Into 2nd on turn 3/4. Stoneman trying to hang onaround the outside slipped off. got up, did a lap, then pulled up a long, long way behind.

Heat 03: Perry, Bekker, Jones, Walter. 5-1, 14-4
Line Up: Perry, Bekker, R/R - Walter, Jones
Comments: Perry by a mile all the way from tapes. Good start by Walter gave bekker soemthing to think about until apex of 1st turn. Jones looked poor at back. Only into 3rd due to big mistake by Walter, who almost hit fence turn 2 lap 3.

Heat 04: Starke, Morris, Stoneman, White-Williams. 2-4, 16-8
Line Up: Morris, White-Williams, Starke, Stoneman
Comments: Good race. Starke all the way but Morris all over him inside and out. Good clean racing - really close to each other at times. Stoneman rode a good turn 3/4 lap 1 to go around W-W.

Heat 05: (Rerun) Perry, Warwick, Hopwood, Bekker (X). 3-3, 19-11
Line Up: Perry, Bekker, Warwick, Hopwood
Comments: bekker amde poor start - charged hard after Hopwood for 3rd place into turn 1 lap 2. Little if any contact but Hopwood down and Bekker excluded. Hopwood jumped up, but then sat straight down - leg/ankle problem. Hobbled away - took a whack to knee, but OK for rerun.
Perry all way from re-start.

Heat 06: Greenwood, Birks, Starke, Walter. 5-1, 24-12
Line Up: Birks, Greenwood, Starke, Walter
Comments: brilliant ride by Greenwood to go around both IoW riders. Birks looks over coming off turn 2 slows to let Greenwood have clean line into turn 3, then team rode in 2nd, keeping watchful eye on Starke - super team ride by guest. Walter got closer to fence in same place as before.

Heat 07: Morris, Ricthins, STARKE, Jones. 5-1, 29-13
Line Up: Morris, Ritchings, R/R STARKE TR, Jones
Comments: Starke taking TR as the R/R, which 21CH thinks is illegal, but I'm sure it's OK.
Whoops, misunderstood that one. Starke lead from gate in great race. heathens queue up behind with Morris inside and Ricthings outside. Switch lines to attack from 3rd lap. Morris makes a move outside going into last lap. Starke overlocks at apex of turn 1/2 last lap, causing Ritchings to react quickly to switch outside. Starke comes almost to a stop and Ritchings able to take 2nd! Starke visibly frustrated with himself.

Heat 08: Greenwood, White-Williams, Hopwood, Stoneman. 5-1, 34-14
Line Up: Greenwood, White Williams, Hopwood, Stoneman
Comments: What a ride by Greenwood. Flew from gate and by half a straight from W-W who was comfortable and never threatened in 2nd.
Sponsored by
Heat 09: Perry, Starke, Bekker, Walter. 4-2, 38-16
Line Up: Perry, Bekker, Starke, Walter
Comments: Super race. Starke makes start - Perry chasing him down, having to work overtime on dry and relatively slick track. Starke covers him well. perry finally gets level going down back straight last lap, and keeps it screwed on to win on run to line. Superb clean race again, full credit to both.

Heat 10: Birks, Greenwood, Stoneman, Jones. 5-1, 43-17
Line Up: Birks, Greenwood, R/R - Stoneman, Jones
Comments: Birks half a lap clear before anyone else moved! Greenwood had to work hard lap 1 to cover an early charge by Stoneman. All over after a lap.

Heat 11: Morris, Ritchings, WARWICK, Hopwood. 5-1, 48-18
Line Up: Morris, Ritchings, Warwick, Hopwood
Comments: Warwick takes the TR.
Warwick just had edge coming off turn 2, with Ritchings chasing hard on outside and Morris lookign to turn under. heathens riders hit afterburner down back straight. Very, very tight with Warwick being squeezed. Discretion proved better part of valour for Warwickand it was he that blinked first going into turn 3. heathens cleared off to take a nice 5-1. Morris dropped inside Ritchings and rode with him all the way. Ref prob had to guess who won as they crossed line together.

Heat 12: (Rerun) Perry, White-Williams, Walter, Stoneman (Excluded). 5-1, 53-19
Line Up: Perry, White-Williams, R/R - Stoneman, Walter
Comments: Stoneman excluded after colliding with Walter at back Heathens were on a 5-1 at the time. Unfortunate for Stoneman as he was trying to avoid Walter. Has to be rerun as 2 laps had not been completed.
Re-Run: Heathens all the way with great ease. Walter making a lot of errors.

Heat 13: Birks, Morris, Starke, Warwick. 5-1, 58-20
Line Up: Birks, Morris, Warwick, Starke
Comments: The 2 Ash's shot from the gate and that was all she wrote. Birks has recorded the fastest time of the night and even has time for a cheeky salute to the crowd coming off the last turn. Not much between the visitors but they were the full length of the straight behind Birks and half a straight behind Morris.

Heat 14: Ritchings, Bekker, Jones, Stoneman. 5-1, 63-21
Line Up: Bekker, Ritchings, Jones, Stoneman
Comments: Jones is here then!!!! Makes a decent start but Bekker goes around him off turn 2 and Ritchings a lovely cut back to go from last to first down the backstraight. Easy after that. Great race for third with Heathens favourite Stoneman edged out. Congratulations to Ritchings on back to back maximums.

Heat 15: Morris, Perry, Starke, Warwick. 5-1, 68-22
Heathens choose gates 2&4.
Line-up: Morris, Perry, Starke, Warwick
Comments: Heathens all the way and a mile clear. It's taken the better part of 3 years but finally Tom and Ash look to have worked out how to ride together. Perfect shoulder to shoulder riding with Morris on the inside and Perry on the outside. Gutted though as Morris steals the win denying Perry a full max.

Teams now confirmed: Heathens, running scared against the might of the Islanders, have booked Birks as a guest for Roynon (get well soon).
IoW using R/R for Aaron Baseby at #3 - not sure why.
Heathens won toss and Morris decides to go for Heat 15.
IoW take 1&3 in heat 1.
21CH doesn't bother to record race times (by coincidence, neither do i).
Heathens supporters held a collection on recent trip to Mildenhall, and each rider has just been presented with £75 .
Apparently the guests who rode at Mildenhall were also given some dosh from the collection on the day - to their very pleasant surprise.
