Heat Results
Plymouth win the toss and take gates 1&3 in heat 1, Berwick will choose in heat 15
Heat 01: Kurtz, Barker, Wells, Bellego 50.38; 5-1
Line Up: Barker, Kurtz, Wells, Bellego
Comments: Tight first turn between Wells and the Devils pair with Wells trying the outside line. Barker drifted to ensure Wells couldn't get round which stopped his momentum and that was that.
Sponsored by www.enjaydesigns.co.uk
Heat 02: Dyer, Holder, Anderson, Jakobsen 52.72; 3-3, 8-4
Line Up: Holder, Anderson, Jakobsen, Dyer
Comments: Dyer gated like a scalded cat but was all over the place for all 4 laps. Holder was right on his tail but couldn't take advantage of the many mistakes Dyer made. Anderson was a distant third and Jakobsen was miles back!
Sponsored by Steve Dixon www.stevedixonphotography.co.uk [/b]
Heat 03: Re-run: Aspegren, Reade 52.41; 2-3, 10-7
Line Up: Gathercole, Reade, Barrett, Aspegren
Comments: Gathercole lost his chain going into bend 1 which ended his race then Barrett had a coming together with Reade exiting bend 2 and went down. Race was stopped with Barrett excluded as the cause of the stoppage and Gathercole also excluded as he wasn't under power, re-run will be 2 riders only. Re-run: From the gate, no contest!

Heat 04: Fisher, Alden, Anderson, Dyer 51.85; 4-2, 14-9
Line Up: Fisher, Anderson, Alden, Dyer
Comments: Fisher, Alden and Anderson hit the first bend together. Fisher took Alden so wide on bend 2 that if he hadn't backed the throttle he'd have been in the burger van. Alden though not to be deterred wound it on and got a great run on bend 4 to fly around Anderson before then trying to get up the inside of Fisher on bend 1 lap 2. Fisher though had none of it and was quick enough to shut the door and in the end push on to win quite comfortably. Anderson much better but Dyer was a long way back this time.

Heat 05: Wells, Bellego, Gathercole, Reade 52.00; 1-5, 15-14
Line Up: Gathercole, Reade, Wells, Bellego
Comments: Bandits flew from the tapes and were never troubled. Wells was exiting bend 2 as Reade entered bend 1! Wells looked really good and Bellego up with him, Gathercole not quite on the pace.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Barker, Alden, Kurtz, Jakobsen 50.84; 4-2, 19-16
Line Up: Barker, Kurtz, Alden, Jakobsen
Comments: Good race! Barker out the gate and clamped Alden to get Kurtz around to take the lead. Devils on a 5-1 then as they entered lap 2 with Kurtz leading however for some reason Barker and Kurtz switched track positions as Kurtz went to the inside and Barker out wide as they went into turn 1. This allowed Alden to follow Barkers line and flew round Todd as if he was stood still. He couldn't catch Barker but had they not changed positions the Devils may have got a 5-1 there. Jakobsen missed it all as he was a long way back!

Heat 07: Re-run: Fisher, Aspegren, Holder, Barrett(F/rem) 51.56; 4-2, 23-18
Line Up: Fisher, Holder, Barrett, Aspegren
Comments: Unsatisfactory start after Aspegren jumped it, all 4 back. Re-run: Fisher gated and won quite easily. Aspegren tried everything but never really got close. Holder was at the back and quite a way back until the 3rd bend of the 3rd lap when Barrett dropped it for no reason whatsoever. He did re-mount after Holder had passed him but was a long way back.

Heat 08: Kurtz, Bellego, Dyer, Anderson 52.31; 3-3, 26-21
Line Up: Kurtz, Anderson, Bellego, Dyer
Comments: Kurtz around the lot on bends 1&2 and was away. The Bandits pair sat in and team rode for the minor positions whilst Anderson had a good go at passing them.

Heat 09: Alden, Gathercole, Holder, Jakobsen 51.81; 3-3, 29-24
Line Up: Gathercole,Reade Holder, Alden, Jakobsen
Comments: Holder replaces Reade for Plymouth. Alden out the gate and gone, easy as you like for Seb. Devils pair

Heat 10: Aspegren, Kurtz, Barker, Barrett 50.88; 3-3, 32-27
Line Up: Barker, Kurtz, Barrett, Aspegren
Comments: Barker missed the gate big time and was last going into turn 1 whilst Aspegren made a blinder and was gone! Barker eventually got past Barrett on bend 2 lap 3 and sat with Kurtz for the 3-3.
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Re-run: Holder, Wells 52.15; 3-2, 35-29
Line Up: Fisher, Holder, Wells, Bellego
Comments: Super race between Fisher and Wells early on until Fisher pulls away. Fisher though was riding so wide that on turn 2 lap 3 he picked up grip and went straight into the fence. Wells nipped through to take the lead only for Bellego to do exactly the same as Fisher only on bend 1 though. Both riders excluded. Re-run: Holder out the gate and beat Wells much to the amazement of Craneman! It looked like Wells was going to take Holder on several occasions but Holder to his credit blocked every move!

Heat 12: Anderson, Gathercole, Dyer, Barrett 53.93; 5-1, 40-30
Line Up: Gathercole, Anderson, Barrett,Jakobsen Dyer
Comments: Dyer replaces Jakobsen for Berwick. Brilliant team riding from the Devils pair to see off the Bandits. Gathercole on the inside and Anderson on the outside rode a great race!

Heat 13: Barker, Fisher, Wells, Alden 52.00; 5-1, 45-31
Line Up: Barker, Fisher, Wells, Alden
Comments: Belting race! Barker and Wells out the traps with Alden not making a good start. Barker led and clamped Wells on bends 1&2 lap 2 which allowed Fisher around him and the Devils went off into the distance.

Heat 14: Aspegren, Holder, Reade, Dyer 52.10; 3-3, 48-34
Line Up: Reade, Holder, Aspegren, Dyer
Comments: Aspegren out and away with Holder in hot pursuit. He stayed close for a couple of laps before Aspegren pulled away for a good win. Reade rode a determined race to get past Dyer on the 3rd and 4th bends of lap 1 and was never in trouble after that.
Sponsored by Splod [/b]
Heat 15: Barker, Fisher, Aspegren, Wells 51.63; 5-1, 53-35
Line-up: Barker, Fisher, Aspegren, Wells
Comments: Bandits off 1&3. Classy race. Aspegren led as they exited bend 2 with Wells in the middle of a Devils sandwich. Barker kept it wound on to round Aspegren on turns 3&4 of lap 1. He stayed on the wide line as Aspegren gave chase but Fisher then got in the mix as he made a stunning pass through the smallest of gaps on the back straight of lap 2. He got through between the fence and Aspegren to grab second and the crowd went mental. Excellent meeting and some brilliant racing.

Comments:
Teams now confirmed.
Chris Holder is in attendance with his brother James tonight, fingers crossed it helps and Ben Barker has a strapping on his wrist but in his own words his "Cough cough, fine".
Weather is dry and a sunny. A few showers earlier this morning but nothing to worry about.
Not a bad crowd filling up nicely!
Track has been watered and looks slick as per normal although the start lines have been roughed up a bit and the outside should produce some grip later on.
Thanks for watching, that's all folks.
