Tigers win the toss, taking 1 & 3
Heat 1: From the gate. Doolan almost passed Bird on lap three when he drifted wide, but Bird just held on. McAllen off the pace.
Short delay. As usual, the sun is in the riders eyes.
Heat 2: Strange by the Glasgow pair. Cockle slowed after the start, but got going again. Ksiezak had bike trouble at the start of lap two, but also got going again. Cockle fell & remounted on lap two. Cockle had more bike trouble on the last lap and Ksiezak passed him.....then fell in the process!!
Heat 3; Nermark held onto second despite a few scary moments towards the end of the race. Dicken not far behind him by the end.
Heat 4: Topinka from the gate. Oliver passed Cockle on the second lap when Cockle lifted coming out of the second bend.
Heat 5: Bird taking a t/r.
Heat 5: Bird easily passed by Nermark coming out of the second bend. Harding got past Bird on lap three after Bird had got out of shape.
Heat 6: Batchelor challenged Parker for a couple of laps, but Parker pulled away after that.
Heat 7: Dicken fell on the second bend, causing Mills to fall in MrMungo's opinion. Referee disagreed.
Heat 8: Good battle for second. Oliver had the speed, but unable to find a way past Cockle. Batchelor won by a mile, perhaps even a couple!!
Heat 9: Parker taking a t/r.
Heat 9: Parker had an ef on the back straight when second. Good ride by Ksiezak to hold off Harding who looked quick. Not Glasgows night!!
Heat 10: Nieminen fell when in second. Doolan did well to avoid him. Dicken laid his bike down. Both riders up and ok. Could have been very nasty.
Heat 11: Cockle replaces McAllen.
Heat 11: Mills passed Cockle on the first lap.
Heat 12; Oliver swooped around Ksiezak on the first lap. Ksiezak just managed to fend off Harding. Good ride by both.
Heat 13: Parker ploughed through the tapes. Looks like clutch trouble. Ksiezak replaces Parker in the re-run.
Heat 13: Comfortable win from the gate.
Heat 14: Nermark completely missed the gate, but passed Nieminen at the start of lap two. Cockle fell on lap three when in first place!
