Panthers win the toss and take gates 1&3 in heat 1

Heat 01: Barker, Blackbird, Bjerre, Katajisto 50.16; 3-3
Line Up: Barker, R/R Katajisto, R/R Bjerre, Blackbird
Comments: Katajisto and Bjerre take the rider replacement rides. Barker from the gate and away. Kalle squeezed out by the Panthers pair which cost him a few bike lengths. He chased hard but to no avail.

Heat 02: Simota, Halsey, Shanes, Hopwood 51.26; 4-2, 7-5
Line Up: Simota, Shanes, Halsey, Hopwood
Comments: Simota gated and won by a mile. Shanes missed the gate but got going soon after and began to close on Hopwood. Hopwood then came to grief on bends 3&4 on lap 2 and fell on his own allowing Shanes through. Hopwood re-mounted to finish.

Heat 03: Ostergaard, Dryml, Newman, Katajisto 51.33; 1-5, 8-10
Line Up: Katajisto, Newman, Dryml, Ostergaard
Comments: Ostergaard took Katajisto out wide on the opening bends which all but ended his challenge. The Panthers pair then team rode comfortably out front for an easy 5-1.

Heat 04: Simota, Jensen, Bjerre, Hopwood 51.14; 5-1, 13-11
Line Up: Jensen, Shanes Simota, Bjerre, Hopwood
Comments: Simota replaces Shanes for Plymouth. Devils pair gated and team rode for all 4 laps. Jensen down low and Simota out wide easily saw off Bjerre who was no-where near by the end.

Heat 05 (Re-runx2): Blackbird, Simota, Ostergaard, Katajisto(F/x) 51.96; 2-4, 15-15
Line Up: Katajisto, Newman Simota, R/R Ostergaard, Blackbird
Comments: Ostergaard takes the r/r ride for the Panthers. Stopped! Newman touches the tapes and is excluded, he will be replaced by Simota. Re-run: Stopped again. Panthers gated with Katajisto in hot pursuit. On bend 3 lap 2 Kalle got up the inside of Ostergaard only for Ostergaard to repay the compliment on the very next bend. The two were neck and neck going into bend 1 lap 3. Ostergaard pushed Katajisto wide so much so that Kalle couldn't hold on and went down. Devils fans expected Ulrich to be excluded but the ref thinks differently and excludes Katajisto. Re-runx2: Panthers gated but Ostergaard got out of shape on bends 3&4 of lap 2 which allowed Simota up the inside.

Line Up: Barker, R/R Newman, Bjerre, Halsey
Comments: Newman is the Plymouth R/R. Great stuff from Barker. He gated and clamped Bjerre on the opening bends to allow Newman around the outside. Going into Bend 3 of lap 1 Barker switched to the outside leaving Newman down low and the Devils team rode for the remainder of the race.

Heat 07: Jensen, Ostergaard, Dryml, Shanes 51.12; 3-3, 23-19
Line Up: Jensen, Simota Shanes, Dryml, Ostergaard
Comments: Shanes replaces Simota for Plymouth. Jensen quick off the start and wins from tapes to flag, Shanes on the pace at the back but just not getting out of the gate.

Heat 08: Jensen, Blackbird, Hopwood, Simota(F/x) AWD - No Time; 3-3, 26-22
Line Up: R/R Jensen, Shanes Simota, Blackbird, Hopwood
Comments: Jensen takes the R/R ride and Simota replaces Shanes for Plymouth. Stopped! Devils gate on a 5-1 but Blackbird rides a cracking first couple of bends to fly around Simota and get into 2nd. On bend 3 lap 3 Simota in trying to pass Blackbird goes too wide and ends up in the air fence, he's up and ok but excluded with the race awarded.

Line Up: Katajisto Shanes, Newman, Bjerre, Halsey
Comments: Shanes replaces Katajisto who has been withdrawn with a wrist injury. Newman gated and was gone. Shanes again poor from the gate but caught up and had both Bjerre and Halsey looking over their shoulder.

Line Up: Jensen, Simota Shanes, R/R Dryml, Blackbird
Comments: Shanes replaces Simota for Plymouth and Dryml is the R/R for Peterborough. From the gate for Dryml, Shanes again poor from the gate but again caught up without being able to land a blow.

Line Up: Katajisto Simota, Shanes, Dryml, Halsey
Comments: Simota replaces Katajisto for Plymouth. What a race! Something special that! Dryml gated with Simota trying everything to find a way past. Dryml managed to hold on though while the action hotted up behind. Shanes gated about half a dozen bike lengths behind everyone else but wound it on and caught Halsey. On lap 4 bend 2 Shanes got his wheels in the dirt and went through the smallest of gaps around Halsey to take 3rd. Crowd went mental!! Great ride from the young lad!

Line Up: Barker, Jensen, R/R, Bjerre
Comments: Panthers R/R is Blackbird. Devils gated on 5-1 but Bjerre got up the inside on Jensen exiting bend 2 and into the back straight. Jensen and Bjerre then had a ding-dong with the two swapping places until bend 2 lap 4 when Jensen got up the inside of Bjerre and just held on around the final bends to secure the 5-1.

Comments: Halsey replaces Hopwood for the Panthers. Devils gated on a 5-1 and team rode all the way. Ostergaard all over the pair for all 4 laps literally trying everything but a superb effort from the Devils pair sees Plymouth into the semi-finals.
