Heat Results
Heat 01: ReRun Sproule, Waters, Stewart, J McDonald
Line Up: Stewart, J McDonald, Sproule, Waters
Comments: Twitchy start again, all back. Probably nerves kicking in. Sproule gated, Waters third to second on lap 2, got to Sproules back wheel but ran out of time
Sponsored by www.jaybeadesigns.co.uk
Heat 02: Sedgmen, Fricke A McDonald , Campton
Line Up: A McDonald, Sedgmen, Campton, Fricke
Comments: Tapes didn't go up on the outside,Fricke and Campton left standing, All back, tapes inspection happening. Fricke cut back from gate 4 to try and get the lead but Sedgy had gated and gone. New track record!
Sponsored by MADDRUM5 www.youtube.com/user/MADDRUM5/videos
Heat 03: Tungate , Proctor, Morris, Riordan
Line Up: Riordan, Tungate, Morris, Proctor
Comments: Proctor and Tungate gated best, Morris got squeezed out back to third
Sponsored by
Heat 04: Holder, Kurtz, Masters, Pickering
Line Up: Pickering, Holder, Masters, Kurtz
Comments: Masters momentarily in front but out wide, Holder and then Kurtz up his inside exiting turn 2 lap 1. It was like Holder and Kurtz team rode (if that makes sense) but Holder always had the edge
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Sidecar supports on track. Junior supports on the junior track next. Nigel Sadler's son is riding
Heat 05: Morris, Kurtz, Stewart, A McDonald
Line Up: Kurtz, Stewart, A McDonald, Morris
Comments: Kurtz got his nose in front but was on the pole line, Morris from gate 4 out wide had more speed and sailed on by. Easy as you like after that for Morris
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Holder, Campton, Riordan, J McDonald
Line Up: Holder, Riordan, J McDonald, Campton
Comments: Campton strong from the tapes and round them all to lead early, Holder sneaked up the inside of Campton exiting turn 2 lap 2
Sponsored by
Heat 07:Re-run Tungate, Sedgmen, Sproule, Pickering
Line Up: Tungate, Pickering, Sedgmen, Sproule
Comments: Sproule down turn 1, no damage, straight back up. All 4 back. Super Tungate gate, Sedgmen flying in second but no luck getting by, Tungate faultless
Sponsored by
Heat 08: Masters, Fricke, Proctor, Waters
Line Up: Waters, Fricke, Proctor, Masters
Comments: Magnificent speedway race. Fricke gated, huge dive up the inside going into turn 3 lap 1 by Masters to take the lead, Masters ran wide on turn 4 so Fricke back up the inside, Masters again up the inside of Fricke turn 1 lap 2. It settled down after that and Masters held on well.

Supports on...and time to make a cup of tea, go to the loo or whatever you feel like doing.
Heat 09: Masters, Campton, Stewart
Line Up: Campton, Masters, Stewart, Tungate
Comments: Stopped, Tungate down middle of turn 3 & 4. Had settled in last and was desperate to gain a place or two and lost it trying a wide move. He's up and ok, and I'm 99% sure he will be excluded but not announced yet. Masters had been leading from Campton, Tungate out of the heat, confirmed. In the rerun Masters clawed his way by Campton lap 1, then Campton spent the rest of race being a pest to Masters. While that was going on Stewart was being a pest to Campton

Heat 10: Proctor, Pickering, A McDonald, J McDonald
Line Up: Proctor, A McDonald, Pickering, J McDonald
Comments: Looked an obvious winner on paper. Was an obvious winner on the track too. Pickering pinched second on the line
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Fricke , Morris, Holder, Sproule
Line Up: Fricke, Morris, Sproule, Holder
Comments: Tight first bend but as per the gates with Fricke holding sway. Seemed to be a permanent three bike length gap all race between first and second and between second and third
Sponsored by
Heat 12: Kurtz Sedgmen, Waters, Riordan
Line Up: Kurtz, Waters, Riordan, Sedgmen
Comments: Sedgmen flying again in second but this time it was Kurtz in front from the gate and never putting a foot wrong
Sponsored by
Supports and tractors again...
Heat 13: Sedgmen, Holder, Proctor, Stewart
Line Up: Sedgmen, Proctor, Holder, Stewart
Comments: Sedgmen with an inside gate showed what he could do. Holder by Proctor back straight lap 1 and was closing on Sedgmen all the time but Sedgmen was just that bit too far away
Sponsored by Speedway Fiction www.speedwayfiction.co.uk
Heat 14: Kurtz, Tungate, Fricke, J McDonald
Line Up: J McDonald, Kurtz, Fricke, Tungate
Comments: Kurtz gated, Tungate and Fricke swapped second place a couple of times but then Fricke ran wide on turn 2 lap 3 and that was it
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Masters, A McDonald, Riordan
Line-up: Masters, Sproule, Riordan, A McDonald
Comments: Stopped, Sproule down turn 3 and excluded. Masters was well away at the time. Sproule up and ok. Amazing, Masters found himself in last and it took him till lap 2 to get by. When Masters eventually got by it was a beautiful move, went straight between the other two to go from third to first in a very short distance

Heat 16: Morris, Waters, Pickering, Campton retired lap 1
Line Up: Morris, Campton, Waters, Pickering
Comments: Easy for Morris with Campton out. Campton didn't get very far off the line at all
Supports etc etc
Heat 17: Fricke, Pickering, Stewart, Riordan
Line Up: Stewart, Fricke, Pickering, Riordan
Comments: Fricke ..... easily. Uneventful behind him too
Heat 18:Re-run x 2 Sedgmen, Morris, Masters, J McDonald
Line Up: Morris, J McDonald, Sedgmen, Masters
Comments: Stopped after 10 yards, my guess is a slipping clutch somewhere..All back, untidy start. Stopped again. Bikes going in all directions and someone (forget who) nearly wiped Masters out. Not deliberate, the boys want it bad, all bend 1 and 2. All back again, new underwear for Masters. Mind games at the tapes at the moment. In the re-run Masters tried a big swoop round the outside but it was a long long way round and Sedgy was already there anyway. Morris had been handy away out of red and Masters had to settle for third
Heat 19: Kurtz, Proctor, Campton, Sproule
Line Up: Sproule, Proctor, Kurtz, Campton
Comments: Kurtz gated well and the other three waved him goodbye as he pulled away
Heat 20: Tungate, Holder, Waters, A McDonald
Line Up: A McDonald, Holder, Tungate, Waters
Comments: Tungate well away and narrowly led Holder exiting turn 2. Holder was never far behind but Tungate never looked in any bother
B Final : Masters, Morris, Holder, Fricke
Line Up: Morris, Masters, Fricke, Holder
Comments: Throw a blanket over four of them for a couple of laps. Morris was challenging Masters and Holder likewise on Morris. Fricke seemed to be fighting an unfriendly bike towards the end
A Final: Kurtz, Tungate, Sedgmen, Masters
Line Up: Sedgmen, Kurtz, Tungate, Masters
Comments: Just one of those hard, tight, very serious runs to the first turn. It wouldn't have surprised who emerged in front but it was Kurtz and he did it well after that. Tungate and Sedgmen were locked together in their own personal battle for second and that took a bit of the pressure off Kurtz. Masters had been eating dust all race and had tailed off a little by the finish
