Heat 01: Morley,Clegg,Purchase,Banks 3-3 57.56
Line Up: Clegg, Purchase, Morley, Banks
Comments: Super start by Ben, didn't put a foot wrong. Clegg chased hard but couldn't get close. Purchase comfortable 3rd
Sponsored by www.jaybeadesigns.co.uk/
Heat 02: Locke, Basford 2-3 (5-6) 60.88 (Andrews - Retired and Bowdery - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Andrews, Basford, Locke, Bowdery
Comments: Stopped: Bowdery looped at the gate. Sitting up but still down, luckily bike didn't come down on him. He is up and walking back to the pits
rerun: Andrews who had led first running suffered a flat tyre when second. Locke away quickly having missed it first time. Rode a good race but was a little wide which gave Basford a chance to close him down and put a bit of pressure on. good ride though.

Heat 03: Chessell, Priest, Basford 4-2 (9-8) 59.19 (Woods - Retired)
Line Up: Chessell, R/R -Purchase Basford, Priest, Woods
Comments: Stopped close first turn. Priest clipped Purchase who goes down. Purchase limping away. Looked like he clipped his foot rather then the bike. A4B
Re-Run: Stopped, Priest moves wide off 1 and wipes Purchase out half way to the first turn. Woods nowhere to go but join the incident. No way that should a4b this time but it is. Woods was up and away quickly. Purchase took 5 mins but now walks (limps heavily) away. Basford replaces Purchase
Re-Run x2: Woods bike made every sound a speedway bike has ever made and he turned straight into the pits. Chessell away with Priest threatening for a couple of laps. Chessell then edged a few bikes clear to be comfortable.

Heat 04: Morris, Hopwood, Basford, Locke 4-2 (13-10) 57.12
Line Up: Morris, Basford, Hopwood,Bowdery Locke
Comments: race of the night but don't get ahead of me because its not what you will think.Morris away and gone by the proverbial and didn't look back once.
Basford rode a lovely first turn to level out ahead of Hopwood. Basford rode 3 super laps as the more experienced rider stalked him. Basford made half a mistake on turn 2 last lap leaving a little more space then in previous laps and Hopwood pounced. Full credit to Hopwood as he took the chance cleanly as soon as the door was open. Cracking effort from Basford.
Slightly disappointed Morris didn't have a look because he's a proven excellent team rider at this level. I'm sure he could have got Basford round for the 5-1

Heat 05: Morley, Chessell, Banks, Andrews - Fell / Remounted2-4 (15-14) 59.18
Line Up: Chessell, R/R - Andrews , Morley, Banks
Comments: what a race well 2 races
Chessell levelled off in 1st with Morley hard after him and riding tighter. He got level end of lap 2 and the lads went shoulder to shoulder to the flag in a cracking race.
Andrews fell first turn and lost about 40m on Banks he chased him down and missed out by a length at the line.

Heat 06: Clegg, Hopwood, Purchase, Locke - Fell 4-2 (19-16) 59.00
Line Up: Clegg, Purchase, Hopwood, Locke
Comments: Great racing again. Visitors made the best of turn 1, Clegg eased into second immediately off turn 2 and set about Hopwood he eventually charged under him turn 4 lap 3. Locke fell from 3rd turn 3 lap 1
Sponsored by
Heat 07: Morris, Priest, Andrews, Woods 4-2 (23-18) 57.69
Line Up: Morris, Andrews, Priest, Woods
Comments: Morris all the way by a mile. Andrews briefly 2nd on the run to the first turn, Priest had the inside and drove comfortably past straight of 2.

Bowdery withdrawn from the meeting, best wishes to him
Heat 08: Basford, Purchase, Banks, Locke - Fell / Excluded 5-1 (28-19) 60.36
Line Up: Purchase, Basford, Banks,Bowdery Locke
Comments: stopped: Locke down when leading turn 4 lap 1. Super reaction from the 3 riders behind. Basford laid it down and barely nudged him whilst the other 2 squeezed either side. Locke excluded. He got up and tried to continue which upset Basford who was probably due a thank you.
Re Run: Purchase with a lightning start, banks made a good start but popped into Wolverhampton city centre before coming back to the track. you could get an aircraft carrier through the gap he left.
heathens pair celebrate like they are world pair champions lol

Heat 10: Clegg, Priest, Purchase 4-2 (35-24) 58.88 (Woods - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Clegg, Purchase, Priest, Woods
Comments: stopped: Woods let his back end get away from him, as he squared up Priest tried to turn inside but clatters woods front wheel taking him down. Thankfully no harm done, woods excluded which is a shame for him as he made a good start.
Re-Run: Clegg by a mile, think he has changed something. The bike absolutely launched itself at both starts of that heat. He was lifting down the straights where as before he was grabbing a handful and not lifting.

Heat 11: Morris, Morley, Banks, Andrews - Fell / Remounted 3-3 (38-27) 58.97
Line Up: Morris, Andrews, Morley, Banks
Comments: Andrews fell from a comfortable 3rd turn 3 lap 1
Morley jumped it by a mile, Morris set sail to close him down. It took every lap of Monmore experience as Morris crept round the kerb while Morley screwed it on in the dirt. Fantastic racing again and the lads were shoulder to shoulder for the best part of the last 2 laps before Ash eased out by a couple of lengths on the run to the line.

Heat 12: Chessell, Priest, Basford, Locke 4-2 (42-29 60.94
Line Up: Chessell, Basford, Priest, Locke

Heat 13: Morris, Morley, Clegg, Hopwood 4-2 (46-31) 58.94
Line Up: Clegg, Morris, Morley, Hopwood
Comments: absolutely top drawer raving again. Morley with a super gate. Morris and Clegg charged hard down the back straight . Morris to the outside and moved level. He then went shoulder to shoulder again for 2 laps. He finally got across Ben into turn 1 on the last lap. He clamped Morley looking for Clegg, Clegg recognised this and went for the outside on the final lap, Morris again clamping Morley on the final turn looking backwards, Clegg roared around the outside missing out by 1/2 a length. Terrific race.
That's why i commented earlier on ash's team riding he can be superb.

Heat 14: Chessell, Woods, Locke 3-3 (49-34) 61.38 (Andrews - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: R/R - Chessell , Andrews, Woods , Bowdery
Comments: Stopped: a4b standard first bend bunching
rerun: Stopped: Andrews rode a superb first turn to turn under Woods and move into second, he drifted too wide in 3 and 4 and had to bale out, stuck under the fence but once freed up and ok.
rerun x2: From the gate.

The odd spot of rain in the air, just about get this done in time.
Heat 15: Clegg, Morley, Morris, Hopwood 4-2 (53-36) 59.62
Line-up: Clegg, Morris, Morley,Hopwood
Comments: Clegg flew out of gate 2 and took off to win by ease, Morris missed it and got squeezed wide off 4. Morris tried the obvious slow down and cut back to the kerb but the Rye pair are too smart for that and had it covered. Last and lost his momentum Morris needed a plan b and quick, switched outside going into turn 3 and chucked it in hard and deep to go around Hopwood coming off the turn. Try as he might Morley had to much this time.
Cracking meeting with some racing as good as you will see at any level. well done both teams and hope all the lads who took a bump or 3 are all okay.
