5. Ryan Terry-Daley - 2, 1, 2, 2, 0 = 7

So Sun's shining, birds singing and singing and the Heathens are gonna be ommering. Well, except for the fact the start time has arrived and the riders hasn't even been introduced yet. Why is speedway so rubbish?! A minute's silence taking place for Clive Mulloy, a former machine examiner here at Monmore Green who passed away last week.
Referee: Darren Hartley
Heat Results
Heat 01: Morris, Greenwood, Dwyer, Basford - Fell, remounted 3-3 55.31
Line Up: Morris, Basford, Greenwood, Dwyer
Comments: New NL track record for Morris, and I called it as fast immediately. Pulled a full straight clear of Greenwood. Basford fell during lap 2 from the back and remounted to complete the race.
Sponsored by www.jaybeadesigns.co.uk/
Heat 02: Awarded: Purchase, Walker, Andrews, Roberts - Fell / Excluded 4-2 (7-5) 61.25
Line Up: Andrews, Purchase, Walker, Roberts
Comments: Race Awarded. Andrews fell challenging Roberts for 2nd and remounted during lap 2. Roberts fell from 2nd on the last bend and is excluded.
Sponsored by MADDRUM5 www.youtube.com/user/MADDRUM5/videos
Heat 03: Greenwood, Knuckey, Basford, Chessell - Fell 1-5 (8-10) 59.21
Line Up: Chessell, R/R - Basford, R/R - Greenwood, Knuckey
Comments: Chessell super gate, went wide and the Storm blast past backstraight of lap 1. Basford passed Chessell for 3rd on bend 2 lap 2. Then Chessell binned it. He rode two dreadful laps. Basford closed to challenge late on. Greenwood booked the rear chain off on the last turn but rolled along for the win.

Heat 04: Clegg, Terry-Daley, Purchase, Knuckey 4-2 (12-12) 56.84
Line Up: Clegg, Purchase, Terry-Daley, Knuckey
Comments: Heathens gate on a 5-1. Purchase made a mistake and did well to save the potential high slide bends 1 and 2 lap 2. Terry-Daley slipped through and went well clear in 2nd.

Track Grading
Heat 05: Chessell, Greenwood, Dwyer, Andrews 3-3 (15-15) 57.05
Line Up: Chessell, R/R - Andrews, Greenwood, Dwyer
Comments: That's more like it. Chessell with a customary start and took off like the proverbial scalded at to win by half a straight or more.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Morris, Basford, Terry-Daley, Walker 5-1 (20-16) 57.26
Line Up: Morris, Basford, Terry-Daley, Walker
Comments: Morris at half throttle looking back for Basford but looked like he wasn't sure at first whether to wait or get out of the way. He went clear but looked back at every opportunity to see the Basford was still there in 2nd. We needed that!!

Heat 07: Awarded: Clegg, Knuckey, Dwyer, Andrews - Fell / Excluded 3-3 (23-19)
Line Up: Clegg, Andrews, R/R - Dwyer, Knuckey
Comments: Best race so far. Clegg gated but Knuckey rode a beautiful 1st and 2nd bends to sweep around the outside to lead. Clegg set sail to charge after him. Just as Clegg was lining him up for a classic bend 2 on the kerb lap 3. Knuckey lifted a little and that made sure Clegg had the momentum down the backstraight to dive bomb Knuckey. Andrews fell on his own last into bend 1 lap 4. Race Stopped as Clegg came off bend 4 lap 4.

Track Grading
Heat 08: Dwyer, Purchase, Basford, Roberts 3-3 (26-22) 59.79
Line Up: Basford, Purchase, Dwyer, Roberts
Comments: Dwyer with a massive flyer. Fair play he rode a fine 4 laps to win by a mile. I called him to win it but honestly - how that's not been restarted I'll never know.
Sponsored by
Heat 09: Chessell, Terry-Daley, Walker, Purchase 3-3 (29-25) 57.59
Line Up: Chessell, R/R - Purchase , Terry-Daley, Walker
Comments: Chessell gone. Forget him. Purchase with a super start too. Holding Terry-Daley off until turns 3 and 4 lap 3. Made a small mistake to let Terry-Daley through and then shut off and pretty much rolled last lap. Seemed to be holding his ribs backstraight at rolling pace. Still not convinced he's anything like 100%. Should do a god job for us 2nd half of season if fully fit. Walker took his chance to grab the point and should be noted he's riding the bike well enough.
Sponsored by
Heat 10: Morris, Terry-Daley, Knuckey, Basford 3-3 (32-28) 57.19
Line Up: Morris, Basford, R/R - Terry-Daley, Knuckey
Comments: Morris with as much ease as you'd expect. Terry-Daley did a good job of holding up Knuckey with gave Basford enough hope to keep chasing them. Storm with a comfortable 3-3 through.
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Clegg, Greenwood, Dwyer, Andrews 3-3 (35-31) 57.28
Line Up: Clegg, Andrews, Greenwood, Dwyer
Comments: Clegg gated but Greenwood rode a backstraight and dive bombed Clegg to lead briefly. Carried a bit too much speed and drifted. At the same time Clegg, who'd been pushed wide, turned early and got his wheels in line to snap straight back and pass off turn 4. He then went well clear. Another comfortable 3-3 for Storm as they continue to cling to our coat tails.

INTERVAL
Heat 12: Chessell, Knuckey, Walker, Purchase 3-3 (38-34) 57.86
Line Up: Chessell, Purchase, R/R - Knuckey, Walker
Comments: Chessell made a clean start but Knuckey was right after him. Knuckey riding the classic out backs while Chessell rode his favorite wide line. Chessell pulled clear last lap for the win. Purchase again rolled the last lap whilst last.
Sponsored by
Heat 13: Morris, Clegg, Greenwood, Terry-Daley 5-1 (43-35) 57.89
Line Up: Morris, Clegg, Greenwood, Terry-Daley
Comments: It's been a long wait but finally the home crowd get to see the benefit of the way our team is built. Poetry in motion as Morris and Clegg ride perfectly as a pair to cover any potential move Greenwood could have mustered. Clegg outside and Morris inside.
Sponsored by Speedway Fiction www.speedwayfiction.co.uk
Heat 14: Clegg, Knuckey, Purchase, Walker 4-2 (47-37) 57.39
Line Up: R/R - Clegg, PurchaseAndrews, Knuckey, Walker Roberts
Comments: All the action at the back. Purchase made a decent jump from the gate but messed up the turn and accidentally took Walker very wide indeed. Walker threw up the kitchen sink at it for 4 laps but Purchase does just enough to hang on by a couple of lengths to the finish line. Walker was unfortunate in Heat 14 and it's worth giving the lad a mention for a decent night.

Dwyer has had a good night with paid 11 and shouldn't go unmentioned. Paid 9 for Carr worked out well for Storm too.
Heat 15: Morris, Clegg, Greenwood, Knuckey - Fell, remounted 5-1 (52-38) 57.71
Line-up: Morris, Clegg, Greenwood, Knuckey
Comments: Knuckey fell from the back and remounted to generous applause as the Heathens were on a maximum. Also applauded as he rolled across the line well adrift. The Heathens duo were lighting from the start and looked immediately to see the other had got there too. Textbook team riding all the way as Greenwood tried his best to keep pace. Knuckey chucked it in too hard into bend 1 lap 3 and slipped off.
The score flatters us at face value but it reflects the way our team is built with heat leaders expected to do the business to pull us clear.
