Comments: Atkins jumped but he penalised himself so the ref let it continue. Parker locked up coming out of the second bend which caused Leek to run into him and almost stop, which allowed Atkins into second.

Comments: Smart made an excellent start but it's been called as all 4 back as it was a little too good!
Re-Run: From the tapes. Smart initially challenged Ritchings but he couldn't get past.

Comments: Both Brummies missed the gate. Hume quickly got past Atkins and he set off after Compton but, despite his best efforts, he couldn't manage to get through. Whilst Cupitt couldn't get past Atkins.

Comments: Unsatisfactory start. Tracey thinks it was Boxall who jumped. All 4 back.

A cracking race. Birmingham gated but Boxall was all over them. The Brummies tried team riding but it was too tight and Parkinson-Blackburn pulled away which left Bacon to run alone with Boxall before he was finally overcome.
