Heat Results

Heat 02: Re-Run: Edwards, Spooner, Alcock - Fell, Remounted 3-3 (6-6) 60.00 (Dwyer - Fell / Excluded)

Comments: Race Stopped. Heathens away. Dwyer passed Edwards backstraight,. Dwyer spun around bends 1 & 2 and somehow Edwards missed him and put himself into the fence to do so. Both riders are up. Alcock had fallen on bend 4 but was under power as the race was stopped. Dwyer was excluded from the re-run.
Re-Run: Edwards all the way for the win. Nearly lapped the remounted Alcock who very nearly took it too easy to complete the race.

Heat 03: Re-Run: Harris, Brennan, Bowtell 3-3 (9-9) 58.50 (Lawlor - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Lawlor, R/R - Harris, Bowtell, Brennan
Comments: Race Stopped. Horrendous looking crash. Lawlor excluded for running into back of one of the Eagles riders. Not sure which way round they were as they lead on a 5-1. Hard t see from here but think the Eagles rider may have slightly over-locked and as Lawlor tried to pass his back wheel to go for the outside he collected him hard. Massive crash for the leas. Eagles lad got up quickly and locked as through he was going to have a go until he saw Lawlor spark out. Lawlor got up minute or two later and tried to go after the Eagles lad until others, including Perry stepped in to stop him. Thankfully it looks as through both riders have got away with what was just a racing incident.
Re-Run: Unsatisfactory start, Bowtell stalled on the start line. He has exceeded the 2 minutes and will go off 15 metres in the re-run.
Re-Run X2: Harris and Brennan battled for the right to lead into bend 3. Super half lap by Harris to just gently and safely squeeze the gap on the backstraight. Comfortable from there for Harris to take the win.

Heat 12: Lawlor, Bowtell, Edwards, Alcock 4-2 (36-35) 59.69
Line Up: Lawlor, Edwards, Bowtell, Alcock
Comments: Super ride by Lawlor. Bowtell just had the best of it on the opening bend. Lawlor with determination charged after him. Heat 13: Knight, Perry, Hopwood, Bailey 3-3 (39-38) 57.93
Line Up: Perry, Hopwood, Bailey, Knight
Comments: Knight away. Hopwood initially 2nd and Perry 3rd through nothing between the Heathens. Bailey buzzing around at the back but never far off the pace. Perry boxed in on the inside for far too long. Eventually got the outside but to be fair don't think he'd have caught Knight who's been very good tonight.

Heat 14: Lawlor, Brennan, Spooner, Edwards 3-3 (42-41) 58.81
Line Up: R/R - Lawlor ,Dwyer Edwards, Brennan, Spooner
Comments: From the gate but good race front and back. Brennan pushed Lawlor all the way to the finish line and was never far behind. Good night for both riders., Great determination in his riding tonight by Lawlor. Brennan a very steady night. At the back, Spooner got there before Edwards and just about held him by barely a length on the finish line. For the 2nd time Edwards charged to the finish line and an Eagles rider nearly backed off early.

Heat 15: Re-Run: Bailey, Knight, Hopwood 1-5 (43-46) 58.69 (Perry - Fell / Excluded)
Line-up: Hopwood, Perry, Knight, Bailey
Comments: Race Stopped, disaster for Heathens. Perry made decent start but rode a stormer to get around the outside to lead off bend 2. Then he's inexplicable binned it in the middle of bends 3 & 4. Perry is excluded from the re-run.
Re-Run: Knight away first with Bailey following him. Knight allowed Bailey around for the win. Congrats Eagles but my word we threw that away tonight.
