Heat Results
Heat 01: Edwards, Lawlor, Dwyer, Greenwood. 57.56
Line Up: Lawlor, Greenwood, Dwyer, Edwards
Comments: Edwards and Lawlor sharp away from the outside and inside respectively. Edwards chopped right across to stop Lawlor. From the gate but Lawlor pushed hard all the way with them both pulling well clear of Dwyer and Greenwood.

Heat 02: Bewley, Nicol, Harris, Widman. 55.75
Line Up: Nicol, Widman, Harris, Bewley
Comments: Bewley away and won from the front. Nicol stayed reasonably close, but in reality never challenging, until over locking and falling back on the last lap.

Heat 03: Clegg, Morley, L Dicken, Andrews. 58.69
Line Up: Andrews, Morley, L Dicken, Clegg
Comments: From the gate at the front. Andrews rounded Dicken then messed it up.

Heat 04: Morris, Coles, Hampshire, K Dicken (Fell). 57.75
Line Up: Coles, Hampshire, K Dicken, Morris
Comments: Morris by a street. Hampshire almost fell on bends 3&4. Coles rode a couple of iffy turns too. Morris almost binned it at one point, his ability round Monmore got him out of trouble.
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Heat 05: Nicol, Morris, L Dicken, Lawlor. 56.44
Line Up: Morris, Lawlor, Nicol, L Dicken
Comments: Fantastic ride by Nicol to go round Morris on bend 2 lap 2. Morris pushed hard all the way but that was a super ride from Nicol.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Harris, Andrews, Hampshire, Greenwood. 59.12
Line Up: Hampshire, Andrews, Greenwood, Harris
Comments: From the gate after Andrews rode a good opening half lap to settle in second. Greenwood as poor as the texter can ever recall.

Heat 07: Morley, Widman, Coles, Dwyer. 58.69
Line Up: Morley, Coles, Widman, Dwyer
Comments: From The Gate.

Heat 08: Bewley, Clegg, Edwards, K Dicken. 56.66
Line Up: Edwards, Bewley, Clegg, K Dicken
Comments: Bewley gated. Clegg charged hard and looked for a couple of laps he might be able to make a move on him. Bewley then edged clear on laps 3&4. Dicken must've been half a lap behind Edwards.

Heat 09: Morley, Harris, Lawlor, K Dicken. 58.75
Line Up: Harris, K Dicken, Lawlor, Morley
Comments: Harris away sharply but Morley soon swept round him off bend 2. Morley pulls at least 10 lengths clear of Harris who is at least 5 lengths clear of Lawlor. They each held their ground, neither of losing or gaining ground.

Heat 10: Nicol, Clegg, Coles, Greenwood. 57.62
Line Up: Clegg, Nicol, Coles, Greenwood
Comments: Tight first bend between Clegg and Nicol. Nicol levels off ahead. He had a big moment on bends 3&4 but gathered it all up. Puts it on the dirt coming off the corner and fired down the home straight to hold the lead. Clegg charging hard all the way to the line and there's only a length in it at the end. Nicol impressing.

Heat 11: Bewley, L Dicken, Dwyer, Hampshire. 58.25
Line Up: Bewley, L Dicken, Dwyer, Hampshire
Comments: Super ride by Dicken to wind it on around the outside in the dirt. Took 2 and a half laps to line up Dwyer before getting there. Good Race.

Heat 12 (Re-Run): Morris, Widman, Edwards 57.37 (Andrews - Fell, Excluded).
Line Up: Morris, Edwards, Andrews, Widman
Comments: Stopped. Andrews binned it, whilst last, going into bend 1 lap 2. Tried to clear the track but it was an awkward landing and the bike was all crossed up. By the time he got the bike up and facing the right way it was too late.
Re-Run: Edwards made a better start than the first running which gave him a chance to challenge. Pushed Morris hard and gives it the do or die going into the final bend. Edwards did well to avoid fencing himself.

Heat 13: Clegg, Lawlor, Widman, Hampshire. 58.00
Line Up: Widman, Clegg, Hampshire, Lawlor
Comments: Weird start. Hampshire missed it by a day and a half and then looked back over his shoulder as the others headed for bend 1.

Heat 14: Morris, Morley, Bewley, Greenwood. 56.44
Line Up: Greenwood, Morris, Bewley, Morley
Comments: Morris with a flyer and storms clear by at least half the length of the straight. Fantastic pace upfront. Bewley charged hard on the inside of Morley but Morley held his nerve.

Heat 15: Nicol, Andrews, Dwyer, K Dicken. 58.63
Line-up: K Dicken, Dwyer, Andrews, Nicol
Comments: No mistakes from Broc.

Heat 16: Edwards, Coles, Harris, L Dicken - Fell /remounted. 60.75
Line Up: L Dicken, Harris, Edwards, Coles
Comments: Cracking Race. The opening lap just seemed generally messy and uneven. Coles was leading but Edwards on the inside and Dicken on the outside were queuing up.
Edwards with a slightly scary but ultimately hard, fair and controlled move goes inside Coles on bend 2 lap 2. Dicken stayed wide which served him well earlier. Charged into bend 1 lap 3 a bit urgent and went too wide. Coles drifted up high so Dicken turned back inside. Lots of Ooh's and OMG's from the crowd as it looked like Dicken was lining up a divebomb on Coles. Dicken fell on the way into turn 3, got up and did wheelies the rest of the race.
Heat 17: Bewley, Lawlor, Andrews, Coles. 58.18
Line Up: Lawlor, Bewley, Coles, Andrews
Comments: Bewley away but Andrews made a line to almost get level off bend 2. Bewley quickly pulled clear. Lawlor got inside Andrews on bend 3 lap 2 and went clear into second. Coles came on strong on the last lap and almost got up on Andrews.
Heat 18: Greenwood, Widman, L Dicken, K Dicken. 60.38
Line Up: L Dicken, Greenwood, Widman, K Dicken
Comments: From The Gate.
Heat 19 (Re-Run): Clegg, Harris, Morris 57.81 (Dwyer - Fell, Excluded).
Line Up: Dwyer, Clegg, Morris, Harris
Comments: Stopped. Dwyer with a high speed one down the backstraight. Great to see him get up quickly. Race was stopped with Clegg leading from Morris which is what's needed for a 4 way run off (depending on Nicol in Heat 20).
Re-Run: Clegg with a super start and first turn again. Morris gives it the big one on bends 3&4 lap 1, runs too wide and slips off to avoid the fence. Morris got up to finish the race.
Heat 20 (Re-Run): Morley, Edwards, Hampshire, 60.06 (Nicol - Fell, Excluded).
Line Up: Nicol, Hampshire, Morley, Edwards
Comments: Stopped. Nicol gated. Super turn inside him off bend 2 by Morley who is in front as they hit bend 3. Nicol charges into bend 3 far too hard and has to bail out quite early. Nicol went in hard but the air fence does it's job.
Re-Run: From The Gate.
Run-Off: Bewley, Clegg, Morley. 58.00
Line Up: Clegg, Bewley, Morley
Comments: Incredible opening lap. Had carnage written all over it but somehow they all emerge unscathed. Bewley got the jump. Clegg tried to move up but then changed back to the inside. Morley tried to give it the big one on bends 1&2 but it tightened up on him so he also turned inside Bewley. All three levelled up on the backstraight as Clegg and Morley look to get a run on Bewley. The three of them steam full throttle into bend 3 with not a fag paper between them. It looked like it would be an horrendous pile up but, somehow, Morley and Clegg scrubbed just enough speed and Bewley kept it screwed on round the outside.
