*****COMMENTS*****
Wayne is trackside, says the weather is cool getting cold, windy and looks like the threat of rain is there too. Shale looks 3 inches higher on the outside so obviously no one has rode on it yet.
Tractor going round grading the concrete as usual, not bothered about making the outside raceable
Line-Ups Have Now Been Confirmed
Sheffield win the coin toss and take gates 1 & 3 in heat number 1
Parade over, more concrete on show, aint bought any shale since 1999
Heat 1 - From the gate, Ashworth fell on the last bend like an old woman, Wayne says he was too busy looking round when there was no need.
Heat 2 - From the gate, Wayne not happy that once again there is no racing and he says the attendances are getting lower because of it
Heat 3 - From the gate, Andre by 5 laps, Pickering gave up on lap 3 when 3 light years behind, Stead did try to put a bit of pressure of Birkinshaw but with no luck
Wayne wants to swap places with me and have me stand and watch it and he can sit at home lol
Heat 4 - Wayne says finally a Stoke rider showing an intrest but yet again still from the gate YAWN
Heat 5 - Compton & Birkinshaw 1/2 a lap ahead after 1 lap, guess what it was from the gate again. Wayne says Sheffield need to start missing the gate to give us some entertainment
Heat 6 - Finally! Cunningham passed Wilson on the 4th bend on lap number 2 then Wilson looked like a novice for the last two laps
Heat 7 - Pickering gave up after Cockle passed him on the 4th on lap number 1
Heat 8 - Wayne says he actually had the text wrote before the race took place lol
Heat 9 - Glenn Cunningham goes as a tactical ride for Stoke, Wayne says he would have given in to Garry Stead in the next heat as he has more chance of the 6pts. Yes! Birkinshaw never gave up and squeezed past Cunningham on the back straight on the last lap.
Interval (even though they drew the raffle after Heat 7)
Heat 10 - Barrie Evans replaces Paul Pickering as a reserve ride for Stoke. From the gate, Stead pressed Ashworth for the 2 laps and then had engine failure on the last bend but still beat Evans
Heat 11 - From the gate, but Barker almost caught Cockle on the line
Heat 12 - Are the viewers on the egde of their seats ? Speight in for Evans as a reserve replacement for Stoke. Ride of the night Cooper got closer and closer and then flew around Stead on the last bend
Heat 13 - From the gate, but Parsons was close to getting 3rd place a few times
Heat 14 - Barrie Evans replaces Paul Pickering as a reserve ride for Stoke who has withdrawn. Evans passed Cockle on the 4th bend on lap number 1, but Cockle was not to be out done and did it back on the 2nd lap
Heat 15 - Ricky Ashworth, Andre Compton, Rusty Harrison, Glenn Cunningham
Sheffield win the toss and take gates 1&3 in the final heat
Heat 15 - From the gate, but Cunningham pushed Ashworth for most of the race
Thanks for watching the updates tonight and once again a big thanks to Wayne for the texts
goodnight everyone and until next time take care
