Comments:
Teams now confirmed from trackside.
Referee is Mick Bates.
Weather is great and track looks in fantastic condition.
Heat 1: Both Hammers gated but Adams went past Lanham on the first bend but couldnt get anywhere near Watt.
Heat 2: Alden challenged Kling for the lead for the first two laps then seemed to slow up and was passed by both Tomicek and Morris before trailing in at the back.
Heat 3: Kylmakorpi pulled up when in 3rd position on the 2/3rd lap. Kev H (Not me LoL) said that Korneliussen looked very good.
Heat 4: Alden retired when in second place.
Short delay while they are grading the track. Stuart Douglas out on the centre green announced that AJ will be back in ten days.
Heat 5: From the gate.
Heat 6: Interesting race with the two Robins riders seemingly on different sides, trying to outdo each other, McGowan was infront until Morris pulled a very hard right turn on him on the second bend of lap 3, after which McGowan pulled back and trailed in.
Heat 7: Korneliussen to take a TR. Kling battled with Batchelor but couldnt get past.
Heat 8: Adams to be a TS from 15m in place of Alden. Superb ride by Adams to get the win, passed Lanham on the back straight of final lap.
Heat 9: McGowan trailed in at the back, Kev says that he thinks that he was staying away from Morris.
Heat 10: Korneliussen did a wide sweep around Watt on the first bend and stayeh ahead. Good battle between Batchelor and Lanham for third with Troy staying in front.
Heat 11: Kev said that that Aussie bloke from Mildura looked pretty good again , was won from the tapes.
Short interval
Heat 12: Stopped as Batchelor fell on the second bend. All four back. Rerun: 2 races in one, great battle between Batchelor and Shields at the front, Batchelor led for 2 and 3/4 laps before Shields got past him, equally good battle at the back between Morris and Tomicek with Morris keeping the lead.
Heat 13: Kev says "That Aussie bloke again took it from the tapes" , McGowan in 2nd but passed by Davidsson on lap 3. Watt retired on the second lap.
Heat 14: Another good ride from Korneliussen. Alden about half a lap before, Kev is not sure whether it is problems with the track or with machinary.
Heat 15: Lineup:Shields Davidsson Korneliussen Batchelor Comfortable win by the Robins pair from the gate.
Lakeside have also announced their guests for next week:
Weds Hampel
Thurs Watt
Fri Louis
Well done to Lakeside for the win tonight but congratulations also to the Robins for the fightback. Many thanks to Kev H for his excellent phone calls.
