Heat Results & Comments
Heat 01: Lemon, Mills, Neath, Mear. 5-1, 5-1
Sponsored by Clean Cut Sports @ www.cleancutsports.com
From the gate, Rye boys appeared to struggle for the first couple of laps, Mills struggled as well, Mear fell twice in the heat but remounted both time
Track looks quite tricky actually, Mark Lemon thinks the track will come back to the riders
Heat 02: Bowen, Smith, Glanz. 3-3, 8-4
Sponsored by Steve Dixon www.stevedixonphotography.co.uk
Stopped; Unsatisfactory Start, Glanz tried to anticipate the start
Re-Run; Bowen made the start and led from tapes to flag, Betson pulled up lap 1 with machinery problems
Heat 03: Ostergaard, Suchanek, Woffinden, Allen. 5-1, 13-5
Sponsored by Boxer123 Stamps bought & sold. wenjef@hotmail.co.uk
Ostergaard in a class of his own, won very easily, Suchanek rode an awesome 1st 2 bends to grab 2nd place, Woffinden tried but couldn't get Suchanek. Suchanek was very close to touching the tapes there.
Heat 04: Ekberg, Madsen, Bowen, Glanz. 2-4, 15-9
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Rye duo gated, Bown drifted a little wide and allowed Madsen through, Madsen put Ekberg under pressure to the tapes. Glanz was nowhere
ADVERT BREAK
Heat 05: Ostergaard, Neath, Suchanek, Mear. 4-2, 19-11
Sponsored by Richard and Anne Hollingsworth www.scunthorpespeedway.com
Neath made the start, but Ostergaard got past him bend 2 lap 1, Suchanek then challenged Neath and lost out to Mear, Suchanek got back past bend 3 lap 3, Ostergaard won by a country mile, had time to stop and have a drink before finishing race.
Heat 06: Lemon, Ekberg, Mills, Betson. 4-2, 23-13
'Sponsored by www.SpeedwayInfo.co.uk - speedway information for all UK leagues plus Grand Prix & World Cup stats'
Ekberg jumped the start, but the ref allowed it to carry on as Lemon came through on the inside of bend 2, Lemon won by a mile
Heat 07: WOFFINDEN, Allen, Madsen, Smith, 1-8, 24-21
Sponsored by Merlin
RHR - TR - Tai Woffinden
Both Rye riders made the gate, great team riding by the Rye pair there, no way through for Madsen, Allen went wide last bend but just picked up enough speed to grab the 2nd place. After the heat finished, Madsen just clipped the back wheel of Woffinden and went down, Smith nowhere. F***ing awesome heat of speedway though
ADVERT BREAK
Heat 08: Mear, Mills, Glanz, Bowen. 3-3, 27-24
Sponsored by Speedway Souvenirs available at www.enjaydesigns.net
Stopped; Mear try to jump the start, did well to not touch the tapes.
Mear made a flyer from the gate, Mills put him under loads of pressure for the 1st lap till Mear pulled away a little, Bowen then started to put Mills under pressure till he fell bend 3 lap 3, Bowen remounted and finished the heat
Track appears to be a lot better now, there are some dark clouds looming so they appear to be rushing the heats to get to Heat 12 in case of rain
Heat 09: Ostergaard, Suchanek, Ekberg, Betson. 5-1, 32-25
Sponsored by www.inthedirt.co.uk - "Speedway merchandise for the masses"
Pure class from Ostergaard, awesome start, never looked for his team mate once though, great fight between Suchanek and Ekberg through all 4 laps, Suchanek almost got Ekberg on bend 2 lap 4 and he finally did get him, coming out of bend 4 lap 4
Heat 10: Woffinden, Lemon, Mills, Allen. 3-3, 35-28
Sponsored by KanDysoft Speedway spreadsheets www.kandysoft.com
Woffinden from the start, Mills got underneath Allen, bend 4 lap 1, Lemon caught up with Woffinden and made a 'fair' race of it
Woffinden just admitted that he was the s***test starter in the league, although not sure the Sky boys liked the using of that word
Heat 11: Mear, Neath, Madsen, Smith. 1-5, 36-33
Sponsored by Peter Hopkins
Neath gated and Robert Mear went flying around the outside to put the Rockets on a max out of bend 2 lap 1, Madsen put Neath under extreme pressure for 1 lap but then Neath seem to get the measure of him and pull away a little.
COME ON THE ROCKETS !!!!!!!!!! Updater's Comments

RHR - Res Replacement - Bowen in for Betson
Ostergaard made the start, Woffinden didn't, Woffinden didn't worry and opened it up and flew around the outside of Glanz and Ostergaard, Ostergaard trying everything to get past Woffinden but he couldn't get him, Bowen managed to beat Glanz and grab an impressive heat advantage for Rye House. Kelvin Tattum's voice now starting to squeak as well

ADVERT BREAK
Heat 13: Madsen, Ekberg, Neath, Lemon. 3-3, 41-40
Sponsored by www.rpm.org.uk
Surprise that Lemon missed the start, maybe the Carburettor problem showed itself there. Madsen made a great gate and led from start to finish. Lemon was all over Neath but couldn't catch him
Heat 14: Suchanek, Smith, Bowen, Allen. 5-1, 46-41
Sponsored by www.ebuyitnow.co.uk/ 10% discount coupon code SPEEDWAY
All 4 riders equal at the start, Reading pair got the better though and was on a maximum, Allen got round the outside of Smith bend 4 lap 1, Allen made a huge error on bend 2 lap 4 allowed Smith through for a maximum, Allen made another error on bend 4 lap 4 which allowed Bowen through
ADVERT BREAK
Heat 15: Line Up:
Mark Lemon - Gate 2
Ulrich Ostergaard - Gate 4
Stefan Ekberg - Gate 1
Tai Woffinden - Gate 3
Rye House Rockets win toss and take gates 1&3
Heat 15: Ekberg, Woffinden, Lemon. 5-1, 47-46
Sponsored by www.msj.edu.pl www.msjspeedway.com
Ostergaard made a flyer, Woffinden got a big nudge from Lemon, but rather than go down, he cut back and got back past Lemon, Ostergaard was like a home run in baseball 'outta here' until he packed up on the last lap, allowing both Rye riders through for a 5-1 maximum. Ostergaard is furious, ripped his cut out off his bike and then kicked a fence
