Teams as per programme...but Mungo doesn't have a programme!
Threat of thunderstorms so Mingo expects them to rush it.
Kings Lynn win the toss and take gates 2 and 4 (maybe Sheffield will win the raffle...)
Heat 1: Stars gated. Tacey screwed up 4th bend allowing Parsons by going over start/finish line. Ashworth dived hard under him on next bend. Tacey fell 2nd bend on final lap while last and race was awarded. Tacey up but doesn't look too well. Doolan won it by an absolute mile.
Heat 2: Very nasty crash between Smith and Powell. They clashed entering 1st bend and bikes and men went flying. Smiths bike went over fence and good job the catch fence was there! Both riders being checked over by paramedics. No sign of serious injury by the looks of it. Re-run with all 4 back. Delay while riders get looked after and fence gets repaired. It took quite a beating. Going to be one of those nights Mungo feels...
Tacey withdrawn. Smith shaken up but ok. Powell also shaken but able to continue. His bike is in a bad way though.
Heat 2: From gate. Powell bit close on lap 2 but pretty straight forward apart from that. Hughes pulled up on lap 3 while way at the back.
Heat 3: Lambert close to Compton for much of race but never close enough to seriously challenege.
Heat 4: Unsatisfactory start, all 4 back. Harrison never troubled. Smith saw off Powells early challenge and wasn't far off Wilson by end of race.
Heat 5: Good battles for 2nd to 4th. Lambert close in early stages but lost a bit of ground after 1st couple of laps.
Heat 6: Smith for Tacey. From the gate. Hughes needs more oomph in that bike!
Heat 7: Compton on tactical ride. Tight 1st bend between Harrison, Compton and Oliver. Cooper nipped by Oliver 2nd bend. Compton always close to Harrison but no way through.
Heat 8: Oliver for Tacey. Hughes for Powell who has withdrawn. Smith EF before tapes even went up. Parsons passed Oliver with a fine inside pass at start of 2nd lap.
Heat 9: Bit of elbows between Wilson and Lambert on 1st bend(updater would have to see it to believe it!)
Heat 10: Oliver for Tacey. Compton round Oliver lap 2. Acrobatic fall for Cooper on lap 2 and did very well to clear his bike from the track in time.
Heat 11: Smith for Oliver. Smith went too wide on 2nd bend and never in it after that. Mungo thinks he's struggling with fitness after heat 2 crash.
Heat 12: Oliver in for Smith. Parsons off 15m in place of Hughes. Oliver gated again but passed by Compton lap 1, then Parsons got by him on lap 2.

Heat 13: Tidy cutback by Harrison on 1st lap to pass Ashworth.
Heat 14: Hughes for Powell. Hughes misses 2mins (bike trouble) and will go off 15m. Scrub that, he ain't come out for heat.
Heat 15: Kings Lynn win toss and take gates 1 and 3 (seriously, Sheffield can't win an argument! - updater comment)
Compton retired on last lap while last.
