Heat 02: Clews, K Smith, Oliver 61.03 3-3 7-5
Comment: S Smith's bike reared up half way to 1st bend. Missed all other riders but fell heavily. Now being checked over by paramedics. Race to be re-run without S Smith. S Smith now up and walking to pits, albeit a little gingerly! Heat to be re-run shortly. Clews and Kozza bit close at times on opening lap. Oliver fell 1st bend lap 3. Looked like he lost his footing entering the bend. Got back on bike and completed heat. Clews did very well to miss him.

Heat 03: Topinka, Lambert, Makovsky, Aarnio 58.81 5-1 12-6
