I thought I'd post these in case anyone was interested, especially with a couple of names familiar to GB Speedway.
Meeting was held on Sunday 26th October 2008.

The father and son team of Larry and John Ross won the Rolly Inn Best Pairs at Moore Park on Sunday. Lionel Green and Aaron Ray were the winners of the Rolly Inn Battle of the Twins sidecar title. Both events were keenly contested after a delayed start due to adverse weather conditions. The CMSC are indebt to Don Brown from Nelson and a team of volunteers who worked collectively to bring a saturated soggy race surface back to life.
Anyone who was paired up with Larry Ross had a more than even chance to make the final; such is his experience and ability. John, who is really only embarking on his first really serious attempt at solo racing, was the least experienced rider in the 12 man field. Larry shepherded John throughout the heat racing, protecting him from the opposing partners. They equally top scored for the final with Grant Tregoning and Ryan Moss, despite John falling in his second heat and Larry doing the same and being excluded form the last qualifying race. The Ross combination were too strong winning the final with a one/two finish after a passing manoeuvre went all wrong for Tregoning. Two points back were Alex Cunningham and Cory Lang who displayed some of the best team riding, second only to the Ross’s on the day. Cunningham like Larry Ross, went out in true team riding style to assist and protect his partner where he possibly could, having learnt some of the art after racing for the Sittingbourne team in the UK this year. Cunningham and Lang finished third outright ahead of Jamie Moohan and Karl Bagshaw were four points in areas.
