Comments: Islanders gated on a 5-1, but Herne under Johnson on 3rd bend. Track a bit greasy at the moment, but Nick won comfortably and equals the NL track record!

Heat 02: Hart, Hill, A.Baseby, Meakins 2-4; (6-6), 71.3
Line Up: Meakins, Hill, A.Baseby, Hart
Comments: Bournemouth gated on a 5-1 but Hill went around Baseby on 3rd and 4th bends. Hart well clear. Meakins well back and he fell and re-mounted on final bend.

Heat 03: Brown, M.Baseby, Newman 3-3; (9-9), 70.7
Line Up: Brown, Hopwood, Newman, M.Baseby
Comments: Newman tried to anticipate the start and missed it totally. Islanders on a 5-1 when Hopwood slid off into the fence on bend 3, lap 2. Newman tried to lay it down but the bike hit Hopwood who was sat on the track at the time. Hopwood is excluded from the re-run, but is back up on his feet and walking to pits. Re-run: Close into turn 1 but Brown came out in front and pulled away. Newman coasted in at the back as he had bike problems.

Comments: Buccs gated on a 5-1 but Johnson went around Hart on 3rd and 4th bends. Warwick too quick up front though! Hill retired whilst at the back.

Comments: A.Baseby replaces Aldridge for Bournemouth. Herne gated into the lead. Brown really fling into the bends but never close enough to challenge for the lead.

Comments: Hart replaces A.Baseby for Bournemouth. Buccs gated on a 5-1. Simmons went up the inside of Warwick on 1st bend of 2nd lap, then outside Hart on the 4th bend of same lap. Warwick then slowed allowing Johnson through. Warwick then retired. Fantastic race.

Comments: Johno just about made the gate and into lead. Newman appeared to be riding a bucking bronco! Meakins a fair way back and again fell on final bend.

Comments: Hill totally missed the start! Johnson went around the outside of Hart for the lead. Hill fought with Aldridge for 3rd but looked ragged and couldn't get passed.

Comments: Baseby demolishes the tapes and will go off 15 metres in the re-run. Warwick gated into the lead and held off the Islanders pairing until his bike went bang on 4th bend of lap 3, giving the Islanders the first 5-1 of the evening!Cue Tom Browns Doughnuts! Including a bit of fence bashing!
