Line Up: Stephens, Bates, Kurtz, Hazelden
Comments: Rye win toss and take 1-3.
Bates brilliant from tapes, led from tapes to flag and looked fast. Kurtz came from bend 2 at the back but went up the inside of Hazelden and Stephens on bends 3,4 lap 1 to take 2nd, he kept Bates honest but didnt get close enough to pass.

Heat 02: Gough, Pickard, Hazelden, Morley(EX) 5-1 9-3 52.09
Line Up: Gough, Pickard, Hazelden, Morley
Comments: Race to be re-run, without Morley who fell bend 3 lap 1, Rye on a 5-1 at the time, Morley up and ok but discluded.
Re-run: Hazelden led from the tapes but Gough passed him up the inside of bend 4 lap 1, Pickard then passed Hazelden up the inside on bend 2 lap 2, Easy for the Devils after that and well strung out by the finish!.

Line Up: Smethills, Starke, Strudwick, Owen
Comments: Smethills got the initial jump but was last by bend 2, from the gate for the rest of the race but Owen looked decent and Starke looked quick!.

Heat 04: Simmonds, Hughes, Morley, Pickard 3-3 15-9 51.54
Line Up: Simmonds, Pickard, Hughes, Morley
Comments: Cobras gated but Simmonds passed Morley on the backstraight of lap 1. Hughes who was leading just drifted on bends 3 and 4 of lap 1, losing speed and allowed Simmonds to get up the inside. Hughes then set after Simmonds to re-pass but despite getting quicker couldnt get passed and Simmonds held on well, Half a wheel in it on the line, Good race.

Line Up: Smethills, Starke, Kurtz, Owen
Comments: Smethills gated but on opening bend Starke and Owen passed, then going into bend 3 Owen gave Starke a nudge to take the lead after that Owen rode away into the sunset and looked fast. Kurtz looked awful.

Comments: Hughes got the initial jump but Stephens made the better 1st bend, Hughes then wound it on trying the outside line before making a great cutback on bend 2 on the final lap to pass Stephens for the win, Another good race.

Comments: From the gate for Simmonds, But Owen kept him honest as Gough kept Strudwick honest for all 4 laps

Line Up: Bates, Pickard, Hazelden, Morley
Comments: Race stopped Bates clatters the fence exiting bend 2, He picked up as Morley drifting him wide. No Malice there though just a racing incident. Mikey thought the bike was hitting him at one point, Bates discluded but up and ok.
Re-run: Hazelden led from the traps but Pickard chased him and passed him up the inside of bend 2 lap 2 to take the win. The crowd goes mad after that one!!.

Comments: Tight 1st bend but Starke round the inside just got the better of Hughes who was riding mid track, Close for all 4 laps but Starke held on.

Comments: From the gate for Owen, who gated like a scalded cat!. Strudwick was filled in on lap 1 which ended his challenge. Strung out like a washing line at the end.

Comments: Looked like Stephens jumped the start but ref let it go!. Hughes had stopped expecting the red lights to come on but they didnt, After the devils pair rode Kurtz out of it, Ref announced Simmonds as Winner but everyone on backstraight thought it was Stephens. Either way 5-1.

Comments: Cracking race up front between Owen and Starke they passed and re-passed on the first 2 laps, Owen tho got the better of the battle before pulling away to win. This lad has been awesome tonight.

Comments: Devils take 1-3.
Stephens gated with Hughes lifting badly, Simmonds passed Owen up the inside of bend 3 lap 1, Hughes then came from the back and was right up close to Simmonds by lap 3, However Simmonds shut the door each time but on the final bend, Hughes went for the big swoop around the outside and seemed to get Simmonds on the line, but the ref gave it the other way. Good meeting.

Good evening from a sunbaked SBA, Weather is stunning down here and has been nice all day. Warm with a nice gentle breeze. Track looks smooth but slick! has been heavily watered.
Mikey's prediction is that this Rye side is a very good one, So Rye by 8, He also reckons the TR will go tonight.
