Heat 01: Hart, Pickard, A.Baseby, Glanz (Fx) 2-4 (2-4) 50.47
Line Up: N.Glanz, J.Pickard, J.Hart, A.Baseby
Comments: Bournemouth won toss and take 1 & 3.
Stopped. Nasty crash involving Glanz and Baseby. Entering the 3rd lap Glanz came up the inside and passed Baseby but as he tried to turn into turn 1 it looked like they got hooked up and both went down. Both down for a while but both up and seemingly ok. Glanz excluded, seemed harsh as no ones fault just a racing incident but because of the stupid rules someone had to go. Re run coming shortly.
Re-run Cracking effort by Pickard who traded places with Hart for 1st couple of laps, untill Hart kicked on. Pickard tho kept him honest!!

Heat 02: Gough, Sarjeant, Reade, Stoneman 4-2 (6-6) 52.28
Line Up: D.Gough, B.Reade, J.Sarjeant, D.Stoneman
Comments: From the gate for Gough although Sarjeant looked quicker. Reade and Sarjeant had words at the end of the race not sure why though!

Heat 03: Stephens, M.Baseby, Howarth, Bates 3-3 (9-9) 52.85
Line Up: M.Bates, S.Stephens, K.Howarth, M.Baseby
Comments: From the gate for Stephens but Baseby who was clearly quicker was close for the latter stages but couldnt pass. Meanwhile at the back Bates nearly got Howarth on the run to the line missing out by half a wheel.

Heat 04: Brundle, Simmonds, Sarjeant, Reade 2-4 (11-13) 51.50
Line Up: M.Simmonds, B.Reade, J.Brundle,D.Stoneman J.Sarjeant
Comments: Sarjeant replaces Stoneman for Bournemouth.
Brundle made a great gate and Simmonds missed it! Simmonds though wound it on to pass Reade on bend 2 of lap 2 before winding it on to go round Sarjeant on bend 4 of the same lap. He closed the gap on Brundle but couldnt get close enough. Meanwhile at the back Sarjeant and Reade had a ding dong and were pretty close untill the final bend.

Great 1st bend by Glanz to cutback under Brundle, that was that after that! Fairly strung out by the end. Track seems a little slick now

Heat 07: M.Baseby, Simmonds, Howarth, Gough 2-4 (22-20) 52.47
Line Up: M.Simmonds, D.Gough, K.Howarth, M.Baseby
Comments: Buccaneers gated and rode great opening bend to lead. Simmonds though wound it on passing Howarth on turn 1 of lap 2 up the inside before sitting behind Baseby. He closed the gap with every bend but just and i mean just missed out on the line. Fair play to Baseby for giving Simmonds room on the outside. Good race!!!

Heat 08: Pickard, Sarjeant, A.Baseby, Reade (F) 3-3 (25-23) 52.46
Line Up: J.Pickard, B.Reade, A.Baseby,D.Stoneman J.Sarjeant
Comments: Stoneman replaces Sarjeant for Bournemouth.
Cracking race. Reade gated but was passed by Sarjeant around the outside of turn 4 lap 1. Pickard then went past his team mate up the inside entering lap 2 before setting after Sarjeant. He looked classy as he closed the gap before forcing his way through up the inside of turn 2 lap 3. Sarjeant though wound it on around the outside and the 2 were wheel to wheel untill Pickard made it stick and pulled away entering turn 1 of the final lap. Maybe i was premature in suggesting it was going a bit slick, still some grip out there!

Sarjeant touches tapes and will go off 15m.
Simmonds gated and was away but exiting turn 4 of lap 1 he had engine failure and pulled up gifting Hart the win. Sarjeant was close to Gough by the end and nearly got the Plymouth man, good effort by the young lad.

Comments: Glanz gated and won from tapes to flag looking classy! Simmonds passed Brundle up the inside of turn 3 before Brundle went back around him exiting turn 4. The front 3 were close throughout but no one looked like passing each other. Hart well adrift.

Heat 15: Glanz, Stephens, Brundle, Hart (Fx) 5-1 (49-41) 52.75
Line-up: S.Stephens, N.Glanz, J.Brundle, J.Hart
Comments: Devils win the toss and take gates 1 & 3.
Stopped. Hart goes down after clashing with Glanz on the exit of turn 2. There was contact but it looked minimal. Hart excluded but could have easily gone the other way! I would have given all 4 back personally!
Cracking race to finish. Ref gave the win to Glanz but i thought Stephens won! Even gate but Stephens took the lead off the inside gate into turn 1 with Brundle 2nd. Brundle then nearly got up the inside of Stephens on turn 4 before Glanz then came up the inside and nearly passed Brundle. Going into turn 1 of lap 2 you could throw a blanket over all 3. Then as they exited turn 4 of lap 2 Glanz got the run up the inside of Brundle. The devils team rode away from Brundle to take the 5-1 and all 3 points. Good meeting. Special mention to Jamie Pickard who looked awesome tonight! Tim Webster now out having a second half. Goodnight from me.
