Comments: Stopped. Starke slips off on turn 1 and is discluded.
Re-run: 1-0 to Starle as getting the race stopped worked out. Heathens were originally on a 4-2 but Smith takes it from tapes to flag

Comments: Heathens fast starting for once. Perry seemed to spin comming off turn 2 lap 1 round the inside. That allowed the Islanders a run but Perry saw them off turn 4 lap 1. Heathens pulled away from there on.

Line Up: Jon Armstrong, Richard Franklin, NICK SIMMONS, Ross Walter
Comments: Simmons tactical ride.
Walter has half a nibble at the tapes but missed the start. Franklin round the outside of Simmons turns 1 & 2 lap 1. Simmons challenging throughout and did well at one point to avoid Franklin's back wheel as the Heathen over-locked a bit and lost speed briefly.

Comments: Even break but Heathens got it sorted out by turn 2 lap 1

Comments: Smith tac ride.
Heathens gated on a 5-1 but a smart turn 2 by Smith saw him go from 3rd to 1st on the inside. Franklin gave chased but never looked like passing. Stoneman under a bit of pressure towards the end.

Heat 09: Perry, Simmons, Morris. Walter (fell). 4-2, 37-20
Line Up: Tom Perry, Ashley Morris, Nick Simmons, Ross Walter
Comments: Walter fell when well off the pace. Superb race. Heathens made the jump but Simmons got good drive between them back straight lap 1. He led under severe pressure from Morris who was challenging on the inside. Perry was a few bike lengths down on speed. He first passed Morris then Simmons around the fence. Morris still challenging but Morris wasn't going to let them both through.

Comments: Heathens from the gate but Johnson was pushing Franklin hard enough to force a mistake but not enough to split the Heathens duo.

Line Up: Kyle Newman, Darryl Ritchings, Paul Starke, Rob Smith
Comments: Stopped. Smith slipped off at the back turn 3 lap 1. Ruined a good race as Ritchings and Starke were just starting to knock lumps out of each other lol. Smith could have cleared the track in 21st's opinion. He's discluded.
Re-run: Starke finally cones to the party with a clean start. Nice pass on the outside off turn 4 lap 1 by Newman. All well spread on laps 2 & 3 but suddenly it all tightened up on lap 4. From well down Ritchings was only a couple of bike lengths down and Starke had closed to within a few bike lengths of Newman.

Comments: Perry had an engine failure while leading. Heathens were half asleep as the tapes rose. Perry cleared everyone in under 2 laps before it went bang. Stoneman chasing hard but never in a position to pass.

Comments: 21st says the fight back didn't last long sorry. Armo was a bike length clear before anybody knew the tapes had moved! Newman passed Starke outside coming off turn 4 lap 1. Starke tried to elbow Newman as he got level but Newman just leaned on him. 50/50 hard racing.

Comments: Heathens suddenly making hard work of it. Both left at the start. Morris picked them off on lap 1 & lap 3. Ritchings all over Johnson. He almost made a big dive up the inside on turn 1 lap 3 but Johnson held his nerve. Close all the way for 3rd.

Comments: Great race to end. Heathens from the start but Simmons was all over Franklin on the outside, but Franklin just getting enough grip on the inside to hold him off on the straights. On the last turn Franklin was suckered into and drifted off the kerb to cover Simmons who swiftly turned back and had thecrun to the line. Good ride by Nick. Smith was well on the pace and on the last lap had Franklin under all sorts of pressure as well as Simmons.
