Teams confirmed from trackside.
Belle Vue win the toss and take gates 1 and 3.
Simon Stead is having his bike pushed back to the pits during the warm up laps!
Heat 1: James Wright takes R/R. Nicholls touches the tape and is excluded - to be replaced by Smolinski. (I can't repeat the reason why given by Gangsta! ) Good tussle between Janniro and Stead on the first bend. On the second lap Wright got past Janniro and from then on plain sailing from the fast Aces.
Heat 2: Parity restored from the gate.
Heat 3: Watt challenged Allen hard for 3 laps but Allen blocked every move well. Wright came through for 3rd on the last bend.
Heat 4: Crump E/F out of the tapes as the Bees romp home again.
Heat 5: Davey Watt takes R/R, Watt touches the tapes, he is going to go off 15m handicap. Harris was run wide by Stead on the first bend, oth tangle but somehow stay on. Watt catches Allen but cannot get past.
Heat 6: Crump on T/R. From the gate.
Heat 7: Watt and Smolinski side by side for most of lap 1, then end of lap 2 Schlein takes over by undertaking Watt. Schlein and the Aces fans have banter!
Heat 8: Simon Stead takes R/R and will also be on a tactical ride. Morris replaces Parsons in yellow. Awarded and time of 61.6 given! Janniro gates and it takes Stead a couple of laps to get by. At the start of the last lap with Batchelor pressuring Morris, Morris falls and Batchelor does well to miss him, no contact, just on full lock too far! Red lights come on as they come round to finish the lap. Morris on oxygen in the ambulance, but thankfully he has now come round. (Gangsta will update as soon as news is forthcoming)
Heat 9: Parsons replaces Morris. From the gate.
Heat 10: Bees gate on a 5-1, Watt gets past Janniro on lap 1; at the start of lap 2 Janniro gets back up inside exiting turn 2, Watt then persues until the last bend when he goes back past as Janniro leaves a big gap on the inside.
There will be an interval now.
Heat 11: Davey Watt will take a tactical substitute ride off 15 metres. Smolinski has Stead all over him for 3 laps but Smolinski held him off well until Stead has an E/F on the back straight of the last lap.
Heat 12: Parsons replaces Morris. Bees on a cup winning 5-1 until Allen makes a mistake on lap 3. Belle Vue fans giving Bees riders some stick, so they return the compliment. Aces now need 3 five-zeros to win!
Heat 13: Unsatisfactory start - all four back for re-run. Aces gate on a 5-1 but Nicholls gets under Stead at the start of lap 2 to win the cup for the Bees. Schlein pressures Stead for the rest of the race. 2006 KOC winners Coventry Buildbase Bees
Heat 14: Bees rub salt into the Aces wounds with a 5-1 from the gate.
Heat 15: Harris Nicholls Stead Crump Bees win the toss and take gates 2 and 4. Bees gate on a 5-1 but Crump works his way through well. Coventry fans start the conga.....
Congratulations to the Bees (& their fans) Thank you all for joining in tonight and good night!
